You have people like Tony Kabaka, a self confessed Aye cultist as an official of the same government that says it’s demolishing the house of cultists and you don’t know or see handwriting on the walls?…. Yes, it’s good the government rid the state of cult activities and especially the associated killings, in doing so, the government must first remove the spike on its own eyes. Otherwise, this is purely a political witch hunt.

Better ways of dealing with the cult menace is for the government to tell itself the truth. The government and the police know ALL the Zonal heads and regional heads of all the violent cult groups in the state. Weaponize the state anti cult laws against them. When you arrest and prosecute the zonal heads and the foot soldiers see them in courts and then, in Prison. Only then will cultism die a natural death in the state. Arrest all the leaders and send them to prison. If they elect or instal another set of leaders, do the same to them. By the time you’ve arrested and prosecute about 10 set of cult leaders in a row, no one will dare take up the leadership position in those criminal gangs and they all gradually loose steam and cultism dies a natural death in the state.

Lagos and anywhere in the Southwest is a place I’ll never relocate to, even if the accommodation is free. I haven’t lived there but what I see online everyday gives me enough reason not to even consider it. A place where even the government can’t mask or curtail bigotry even within the government. God forbid. I’d rather live in the Southeast or South-South.
