Politics › Re: Bayelsa Pdp Chieftain Dumps Party With 10,000 Followers by Indispensable85(m): 5:46pm On Jul 21, 2022
garfield1:
A Southern Ijaw chieftain, Prof Barango Opukumo Matthew Wenke, Jnr, has resigned his membership in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). In a two-page letter addressed to the chairman, Ward 1, Constituency II, he noted that this decision became necessary following the crisis in the party.

Prof Wenke, Jnr, noted that he was unhappy with the maltreatment given to Governor Nyesom Wike despite all his contributions to keeping the PDP afloat thus far.

Stressing that those who maltreated Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State did the same to Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in 2015 thwarting his second-term ambition, he stated: “This is a disrespect to the Niger Delta Region politically.”

“Therefore, as a foot soldier and strong supporter of Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Governor Wike, I can no longer tolerate this disrespect for the Oil Rich Region and her leadership.

“Following this continuous use and dump style of the PDP, I, therefore, see the flagrant disrespect for my godfather as disrespect for me and the Niger Delta Region at large.

“I, hereby, formally resign my membership of the PDP, because I want to be obedient and useful to my fatherland Nigeria.”

The letter was dated July 19, 2022. He controls over 10,000 party members across Bayelsa State.

God bless peter obi. He's doing a great job for Tinubu.

I think you are right with most of ya point...but I think Atiku should win the North Central...Atiku might win the general election with a slight margin....Forget all this OBI brouhaha noise...Atiku will surely win SS...Might flip SE...but it will be evenly divided between him and obi...Even Southwest might not deliver block vote for Tinubu if he goes on with his Muslim Muslim ticket...place like Ondo Ekiti might not vote in bloc for him if the Muslim Muslim ticket persist....A.P.C should surely win Northwest....though KwanKanso might pinch some vote here or there...I expect atiku deliver Northeast...without much ado...So the battle will be in the northcentral...any candidate that win that region with a very good margin would be declare the next Nigerian president...
I agree substantially with this submission but I'm dead sure that the South West will most definitely give Tinubu a solid bloc vote. The issue of Muslim Muslim ticket is just a propaganda. Tinubu made it clear in Ekiti that the Vice President position belongs to the north east and a christian.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/06/apc-vp-slot-tinubu-condemns-rumour-on-muslim-muslim-ticket/amp/&ved=2ahUKEwiauLXnrcP4AhUMx4UKHdG1ClkQFnoECAMQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0yot59fkswAvJeQ5_2Hsaw

Yes anybody that wins the north central with good margin will most likely win the presidential election.
Politics › Re: Tinubu's UK Campaign Posters: Is He Running For The Mayor Of London? Rufai Oseni by Indispensable85(m): 11:18am On Jun 23, 2022
Abati and Rufai are obviously ignorant. The influence of the diaspora in Nigeria elections these days can not be overemphasized. In the last Edo State election, the diaspora campaigns was even stronger than at home. Rallies were held for obaseki in Canada and parts of Europe. Edos in diaspora flew down in their numbers to cast their votes and influence their families back home. It was massive!

The ignorant duo of Abati and Rufai should not forget that the Apc and pdp have chapters abroad. What's their function if they're not advertising their parties to Nigerians in diaspora who can in turn influence decisions of those they cater for back home? Hatred can sometimes make you sound foolish.

A friend in France threatened his parents and siblings with withdrawal of financial benefits if they don't vote for obaseki in the last guber election in Edo State. It was that intense.

I want to respond to you because you didn't used any abusive words on my message buh we need to be truthful to ourselves at least for once..
Firstly, don't put words in my mouth because I didn't said that Peter Obi will win 100% buh the truth is that in the whole of South and North Central with the way things are going now,Peter Obi will likely win if the momentum keeps on going higher and Peter Obi supporters should also derive a means to curtail any rigging or vote buying....
Nigeria is not affecting me and it will never affect me buh the reason i'm trying to help for a better candidate is for the poor masses, the downtown and the less privileged...( people are really suffering and it hurts so bad to see them hungry, crying and dying especially since the APC government came into power,if we can be truthful to ourselves)
Just travel outside the country and see what's obtainable everywhere,it's only a tribal bigot, religious fanatic, ethnic extremist, an unexposed, illiterate and hungry people that still supports Tinubu or Atiku because they got absolutely nothing to offer and every sane mind knows that..
Even if you guys hate Igbos buh my hate on Igbo politicians supersede the hatred you guys have for an ordinary Igbo person...
My anger skyrocketed immediately they denied Yemi Osibanjo the ticket buh we shouldn't rely on the past rather we face the future and Peter Obi have some similarities with Yemi Osibanjo..
Sir,I love Tinubu's political genuity and sagacity more than you buh I wouldn't use because of them and jeopardize the lives and future of over 200 million people,it's wickedness and evil and hope you guys understand and retrieve your steps before it's too late....
These Igbo and Yoruba hatred starts and ends here and not in outside world because I do my business and keep friends more with Yorubas..
I wish I made some sense and I also wish you have a rethink...a word is always enough for the wise.... I rest my case..Gracias!!!!
Firstly, nobody denied Osinbajo the Apc ticket, he was roundly defeated in a free and fair contest. He didn't even finish second,so Tinubu was never his problem because in his absence Amaechi would've been the candidate.

Secondly, I don't hate Obi or any ibo, my analysis is dispassionate and realistic. The bitter truth is that Obi does not have what it takes to win a national election just yet especially in a narrow party like LP.

Finally, this is democracy and we should all learn to respect the rights of one another to make choices. Have a great day.

i know you support obi but try to realistic with urself the only region certain for obi is SS&SE obi will not win a single state in the north and you must be joking about southwest, you think southwest will vote obi after you make the election tribal, i can sure you tinubu is getting nothing less than 70% vote in southwest, i will urge you to go check voting pattern whenever southwest has a major candidate on the ballot.
the vote obi will get in southwest is from igbo living there and few yorubas, tinibu is getting block vote, the election is now tribal, any good observing mind will know this movement is tribal

Lol.

Don’t make me laugh. It’s too early in the day for a smiling face.

With what is happening around Obi right now and what is to come, Obi doesn’t really need someone as popular as Kwankwaso. Just someone who can guarantee some fraction of the votes from the core north.

Now talking about structure in Kano and other Northwest states, you remember Anambra and Edo elections?

APC was still the ruling party when they lost these states because the people didn’t want them.

Kano people don’t want APC anymore. They don’t want Tinubu and they don’t even like Buhari again.

So, how will structure deliver a disenchanted people?
Let me quickly correct you about Edo State because that's my state. Obaseki left Apc with more than half of the party structure and went into the pdp with an equally formidable structure in the state. PDP is very strong in Edo State. They've always won the general elections in Edo. Their only problem was the state election.

Let's not delude ourselves bro. If Buhari is on the ballot for 2023 he'll still win Kano handsomely. We thought they were disenchanted in 2019 but baba still got over a million votes in Kano and swept the entire north west again. All the federal lawmakers in the north that left Apc for pdp never returned except Dogara from bauchi. Bros leave Buhari matter oooo.

My poser to you now is that: who's now that person that can deliver the fraction of northern votes you talked about for Peter Obi as a vice?

This was the same thing we told them before the primary election but they never learn. When the results came out they started crying Tinubu bought delegates. I just dey laff

Let’s not be emotional like you said and be practical.

You admitted Peter Obi frenzy is sweeping across Southeast and Southsouth. That’s about 90% of SE votes for Peter Obi and 70% SS for him. Whatever percentage that is left is for Atiku and Tinubu.

Now, you dubiously refused to recognize the fact that there was a 1 million man match for Peter Obi in Lagos and Ibadan. There may have been other states in Southwest but I’m sure of those two states. The implication is that SW is not completely immune from the Peter Obi frenzy like you wrongly painted.

Again if Tinubu ends up going with a Muslim Muslim ticket, more Christians in the Southwest will vote against him. You know this fact. Except you want to be emotional and sentimental.

At the end, Peter Obi is getting nothing less than 30% from Southwest. This could be more but let me be circumspect.

Now, in the north, Southern Kaduna is more OBIdient than Igbos sef. Same with Plateau, Taraba, Southern Gombe, Southern Bauchi, Benue, etc. Before you argue, remind me which state priest barred faithfuls from entering the church for not having PVCs. Who do you think they want the PVCs for? Atiku and Tinubu?

So in the end, we might see Obi winning Plateau, Taraba, Benue, Southern Kaduna, Southern Gombe, Southern Bauchi, etc. That will be about 60% of North Central votes. You know this, except you wanna be emotional.

Now, if the deal with Kwankwaso materializes or even if it doesn’t and Obi gets another popular northerner as Running Mate, that will give him a little chunk of the votes of the core north too.

Calculate the percentages and that’s victory for Obi.

Now, tell us, aside Southwest, where else is Tinubu sure of votes after Kwankwaso conquered northwest?
Don't forget, the north west is entirely Apc dominated with governors, senators, rep members, house of assembly members, LGAs chairmen, councillors, political appointees. They'll all work assiduously for the party at all levels. Buhari will be working for his party too in the zone don't forget. That's the structure we talk about.

There'll be no merger of Obi and kwankwaso. That's obvious, nobody will step down for anybody. I'm not sure Obi can find any northerner half as popular as kwankwaso from the north to deputize him.

Lol..... My guy you went overboard. The percentage you ascribed to Obi in South East and South South are not just possible let's be dispassionate about this. The pdp is still very strong in those regions.

We're talking about votes, you're talking about match. Anybody can do 1million match for anybody but that doesn't translate to votes. Most of these 1million man match are usually not upto 50,000 people. There's a 1million man match being organized for Tinubu later this month in the south east, but it won't translate to votes on the deal day.

By the way I love the fact that you can engage in intellectual debates with points. Others are just emotional and insultive. Lol.....
