The point is, they've been divided along various interests. That unity you saw in the 2023 general elections, is no longer there in this coming edo guber election.

Oredo will be keenly contested. There's nothing obaseki can do, he'll be manned all through. Oredo is the strongest base of the LP. However, the apc and pdp have very strong followings there in this election. I don't see any of the party having a bloc vote in Oredo. The votes will be shared and the margin of victory will be very minimal for the eventual winner. As for ikpoba okha, I expect the pdp to win it.

I repeat, Lp will not win any lga in the metropolis. They'll get a good number of votes, that's all. This is not obi election. Majority of the obedient have been shared into three parts. Some are in Lp, some in apc and some in pdp. This is what is on ground. The Benin metropolis will be hotly contested by the 3 major candidates. But I tip APC to win Egor lga.
