For me, God knows which of the version of this story is TRUE. I served in the North (Anka, Zamfara state) and I must confess the pretentious life of those so called fanatics. In the day time you will see them avoiding corpers like leprosy, but in the middle of the night, you 'll see them in their Peugeot 406 with the same ladies that are avoiding during the day at burukutu joint flirting with same girls. they are all bunch of pretenders

Im so happy that this topic came up at the right time.The first time I had this experienced such was @.FCMB in ketu. The sum of 40,000 naira
was involved and I was lucky.
The second experience was with the Orange bank (GTB), The experience was WONDERFUL, within a split of a second, my account WAS RE-CREDITED WITHOUT STRESS.
The lastexperience I had was with FCMB @ adeola odeku.......................... I never got my noney back....N5,000. and i promised myselve not to leave a penny in that salary account................

when i read thru this thread i find it very fascinating and am compelled to make my own contribution as a result of personal experience
''MY husband fell ''SICK'' sometimes ago, though that sickness was as a result of ''over-doing'' of something, i''ll spare u that details.
He got better but for almost ONE SOLID YEAR, he was PRAYING ALONE at home from 12:00am to 12:00pm the next day (this was b4 he fell sick).
i was responsible for all the home expenses, just name anything, infact we went to bury his mum's father that same year, all expenses pai by me.
the mother then ask him to come to Babanloma , somewhere close to Jebba, but closer to Saare and Ilorin, with the hope that he will find something to do.
I remember suggesting him to take up a teaching job at least, but he said he he has a ''GENERATIONAL ASSIGNMENT TO PRAY AND BREAK YOKES.
he went to Babanloma and he had not showed up for since January, the rest is story.

i went to pay him visit sometimes in March, and during one oof the discussion i had with his mother'' she said and i quote'' Omo temi ko pada wa si Eko mo'' ma ba e wa se si Ilorin, kan fun mini CV e wa'' meaninig ' my son will not come to lagos again, just bring your Cv and i will look for something for u to do'' and true to her word my ''HUSBAND'' his son has never showed up as at the time of typing this text.

Am so happy that this issue was finally raised on nairaland. i remember sometimes ago in my office during some intellectual talk, my boss mentioned it that all the VAT that were paid (for instance the Lagos state) were remitted to the general purse of the FGN and a non- contributing state (Like Zamfara ) will be given from such allocation, i think there is  a great injustice in the Federal system of Nigeria Government or what would u say of all the tax generated by lagos state only fo it to be  shared by  one redundant 'shari[i]a [/i] ing' lovinf state. turlly there is no true federalism in this country, how i had wished that, how i had wish.

You all see what am saying, it means that Refinaries can work in nigeria,but mercenaries wont allow such since they make billions of naira from IMPORTED PETROLEUM PRODUCTS
It means the some Nigerians are saboteurs who will not want the national refinaries to work since the poor masses.
Am SURPRISED they are arrested rather than appreciating their ingenuity and find out from them how they were able to achieve these momumental feat!!!!!!!!!

In my own candid opinion, ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU should not be made the ASIWAJU OF YORUBA LAND. If u think he is a colossus that performed brilliantly well in the last election,then ask him about the PRIVATISATION OF IKEJA GENERAL HOSPITAL, LAGOS.

All the departments in G.H Ikeja had been privatised by this so called TINUBU while alot of people are fronting for him just to keep him out of the picture.
please visit ikeja and u will see that the the following Government medical arms are already privatised.

the mortuary is privatised; the proceeds goes indirectly to TINUBU PURSE
the lab is lab is half-dead, cortesy of TINUBU delibrate plan to make his own private lab to work while Government lab staff were made redundant, any tests done in the Government lab is REJECTED BY THE DOCTORS
The CT SCAN centre is privatised; the price tag is about N200,000
THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH IS AWARE; SOME OF THE PROCEEDS GOES TO THEM
the Pharmacy is privetised;more than 10years back

I can't agree less with you. Just two about 2 weeks, some of those trailers ran into a loaded truck with PMS on Lagos-Ibadan road and more than 4 tankers/trailers were lost to the inferno. Ironically, an additional 5,000 ''DANGOTE TRAILER'' means more death trap for innocent Nigerians, but why?? why would dangote buy more trucks on the already deplorable, ''jagajaga'', death-trap road in nigeria.

Personally, i don't think there are policies that control how many nos of trailer an individual money-bag can buy.
One questions that beg for an answer is ''has Dangote or his allies( as he said') ever paid the families of those who died as a result of brake failure of one of those trailers. May be someday i mean one day if such trailer ran into the convoy of a sitting senator, Governor, and their cronies, then such policy will be reviewed.

i don't see any solution in the purchase of another 5000 trailer by Dangote, but if such money can be pumped into d Nigerian railway line project, and dangote can partnered some of other money bag, to ensure a public-private partnership railway line, then NIGERIA WILL BE A BETTER PLACE AND OUR ROADS WILL STAND THE TEST OF TIME

This incidence would have happened in my batch, but God prevented it. I serve in Zamfara 2003 batch B in Anka Government school. U all know its not a new phenomenon in D north.

I dont see an end in sight to this senseless killing for i can bet it with my life that it will happen AGAIN. Only 24hrs to the killing of Osama Bin Laden, threat tests sms were already sent all over the places that those muslim bigots will strike again. If u are a Christian and you still live in the North, its your CROSS, PLS CONTINUE TO CARRY IT.

My maternal uncle lost all he has ever worked for in Kano;he came back home with [b]NOTHIN[/b]G. In summary I have a stand, and my stand are these:

1.) The Western/Eastern parents of all dead CORPS MEMBERS ( since the very first day it was reported that a corpers were killed in the north in Nigeria) MUST form a COALITION under the auspice of APOKCM (Association of Parents of Killed Corps Members). and if HISTORY has ever reported that a corps members were at anytime reported killed in the South/West/East should form an alliance too. ( I know it has never happened in the history of Nigeria)

2.) This APOKCM must march to Abuja (National Assembly/Senate) and demand in strong terms that the degree that brought forth N.Y.S.C. scheme if not abrogated be reviewed that Corpers must serve in their states.

3.)All newly elected members of House of Assembly and Senate (FROM THE SOUTH, EAST & WEST) MUST raise and support the bill which says'' ALL CORPS MEMBERS SERVE WITHIN THEIR RESPECTIVE STATES''

4.) this APOKCM must be paid monthly allowance by the FGN. This is necessary BECAUSE if such ward/corper were to be alive + all the money the parents spent on him or her, he she would have lighted the financial burden of his family, siblings etc.

The mind like u said can achieve what ever it conceives. I like yr kind of spirit, believing all things are possible.
The incidence is not stage managed at all, it was the sister in law( a friend of mine in the office) who actually encouraged her to take the bold steps, and the reception followed without her, with the FULL consent of her husband.
For me i think its not bad, the couple can always organize a future reception if the need be, but another call for NNPC aptitude test may never come, sure i like ,ladies with guts.
