asofejo:
, i just hope the coach make a good 23 man squad without sentiment, the current eagles squad is poo, we dont have world class players any more in the team, all the players are average and some below average, i wonder who invited echiejile in our squad when we have good left back in the local league, players like shittu(gives his best but no technique),ayila{u can't cheat nature, he is too old),kanu(with all due respect) has passed his prime, footie don leave am behind since 2006,john utaka{too old},peter utaka{not a player that will compete in the world cup),yobo{he lost his passion for the game, we can see in his play,ik uche(he is not 100 fit),echiejile{God knows how he made it to the 30 man roster), IMO these players don't deserve to be in our 23 man squad, some of the players in the 23 man squad are a little better than the ones i removed from my 23 man squad, players like martins, aiyegbeni, ordiah, are just lucky to make my 23 man squad because we have no depth in the 30 man roster, the 30 man roster selected by the coach and nff are not the best we have in the country but GOD knows best, their should be places for the best striker in the nigerian local league in ahmed musa, he is far better than most of of current strikers in the 30 man roster, martins, aiyegbeni have lost their form and we may need the services of brown ideye in the starting line up because he is very young and his physical presence on the pitch will be a worry for opponents, he may not score a lot in the french league but he has been a first team player for his club and he plays regularly.my starting line up in the current super eagles squad will be enyeama, afolabi, apam, terna, taiwo, etuhu, mikel, haruna, ideye, osaze, anichebe, these is the best starting line up in the current eagles squad, players like keita, obasi, nsofor, adeleye, kalu uche, and any other 2 goal keepers will be add positive in the bench, negative players like martins, yakubu, ordiah, yobo and kanu will only make it because they are the captains in the current squad, but frankly speaking, kanu does not deserve to captain nigeria to the world cup as a player he is not competitive, yobo will make it despite the fact that he is a calamity, fellow forumites don't lose all hope in this squad and at the same time dont bet on this current eagles squad, i can't wait against argentina, i still have the feeling we gonna do well in the mundial if the coach concentrate more on my starting line up and the positive players he has on the bench, good luck to the super eagles in south africa, WE CAN DO IT
Correct selection, you know football, for the fact we dont have any world class footballer for now, lets manage these guys you name.

I gave it to jose, he is indeed the special one. To win a match 2-0 with 37% possession is not easy. He did against braca and he has done it again, call it discipline. Kudos Eto'o you have proved that you are african all time best.

What next, i believe any qualified person in nigeria can contest for the post of president, let us free ourselves from this born to rule mentality, the north foisting on nigerians, for the 50yrs of nigeria as independent nation, the north ahs produce more than 8 heads of state or president and ruling over 38yrs without nigeria unity threatened, today the want us to believe if a southener emerge as president, the country will collapse. Please let nobody decive you nothing will happen, jonathan failure to contest for 2011 will make an idoit. (sorry to use the word)
Politics › Re: President Umaru Yar'adua Is Dead by infohenry(m): 3:42am On May 07, 2010
cap28:
Yaradua  died in december 2009 when he was murdered by either the CIA or MI5,  in order to cover up their crime the americans and the british orchestrated that whole charade of him being hospitalised in  a Saudi hospital  and the hopeless nigerian press moved into action with their fairy stories about a "powerful cabal" - headed up by his wife Turai who was trying to appropriate power away from Jonathan his "rightful successor"  - bull Poo, i have said it before and i will say it again - Jonathan replaced yaradua by way of an american/british backed coup d'etat because Yaradua was engaging in bilateral trade with China.

After Yaradua was deposed there was a scramble for power by members of his former cabinet and various successors, the news was not disclosed to nigerians then for fear of the country descending into anarchy - that is the truth - forget about this fake story about him dying yesterday - he died in december - beleive it or not Yaradua actually had good intentions for nigeria, he was brokering deals with China which would have benefitted the nigerian economy much more than the bilateral trade that jonathan and obasanjo are brokering with the americans, i beleive he paid for his unwillingness to toe the line with his life.
Aso radio reporter, thanks to nairaland, we are all power brokers now. sometimes we come here to post our horrible dreams for the whole world to read. Yaradua died on 5th of may and as devoted muslim was buried the next day. I dont know where you ar coming from, the search engine is picking what ever falsehood you droping here, tommorow the whole world is reading it.

I think there is a conspiracy among Nigerians against RICH people. For crying out loud, this guy is not a politician, so why the fuss.
If someone has worked hard and made his money legitimately, I think it is alright, if he wants to indulge himself a little bit, or is he supposed to donate all his money to charity.
Many of those crucifying him have cars, have laptops, two or three mobile phones that are luxurious compared to the level of poverty in Nigeria, why cant you donate them to the less privileged in your street?
Me personally will do the same or more if I were in his shoes, the man is not known to be frivolous, so let him be.
Brother you got it wrong that someone is contesting election does not mean he is not a politician, Adenuga is a campaign financier and he make his money from government or do you think is easy to get oil bloc and telecom license if your not politiian. The guy use his money as je like to but both him and his like should remenber that Bill Gate foundation donated 50mill dolars to fight polio in north nigeria where our billinaire Dangote came from.
That is why you make money not to waste it on weddings  and parties. One word for Adenuga you are not rich until you leave a legac that will outlive you, he should learn from Abiola where is companies and wealth today.

Politics › So who do you think can stop IBB? by infohenry(op): 2:07am On Apr 11, 2010
Former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, yesterday in Benin, Edo State, confirmed that he would contest the 2011 presidential election. The confirmation has put paid to the intense speculation in recent weeks that he would throw his hat into the presidential contest in next year’s election.

Babangida spoke briefly with newsmen at the Benin Airport on his way to Asaba, the Delta State capital, for the commissioning of a dual carriageway named after his late wife, Miriam, and a lecture in her honour.

Said Babangida: “I am going to Delta State because of the special love I have for it and courtesy of the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.” Ask to comment on the speculation on his presidential ambition in 2011, he simply said: “The speculation is correct.”

BUT GOD PASS AM, HE FAILED B/4 HE STARTED.If America and britain want him, they can take him to stabilize their own polity cos is also shaking.

Super Eagles problem goes beyound coaching.that team will perform woefully even with Sir ALEX of ManUtd as their manager. how many of them is indispensable in their clubs abraod, they are subs and training materials let the country look inward and discover talented and suceess motivated footballers who will make us proud by losing galantly just the way zamians did it.

Damn, Taye Taiwo is the best LB in France by far, he is excellent in defence and great at positioning, you really must not watch a lot of Ligue 1 games. That said he has been slightly off form this season, but he won the title of Best LB two years running.
My brother football is not about past record but your present form the likes of Ronaldo,Ronaldho are all formal world footballers who are presently not playing regular football for Brazil based on their current form.Taiwo for now is not fit for the LB in the super Eagle because he is does not return fast after overlap, his level of alertness is also suspicious i believe you when say his good but for now he is not in his best and since the LB is not his birth right nigeria more than 40 equally good LB playing in the different club side in nigeria who can replace him.sometimes we the fans create this problem using super subs in europe in our national teams.

I'm VERY sure that most of you commenting on this posts are not students of UNN. You people have no idea what has been going on in that place! I've taken time to read everyone's comments and i realised, some people think with their anus! I got admission into UNN in '08. Then, i paid 6k for acceptance fee. School fees was 38,700 naira{excluding other fees like hostel fee, department and faculty dues and hostel dues}. New students are now paying 25k for acceptance fee!{calculate the percentage increase here and tell me how much these students will pay when they resume!} we're currently paying 11,500 for hostel fee and we're 4 in a room. Now he said we'll start paying 40k and we'll be SEVEN in a room! That fool told the media that he didn't make any increament. THEN WHY IS ACCEPTANCE FEE 25K INSTEAD OF 6K?
My brother dont worry about his denial cos is the trademark of those fools who found themselves in position of authority.
Even those in presidency speaks from their nose, they are criminals in disguise.

I believe nigeria will beat the cameroun team in Angola cos they are not the lions we are afraid of, just as our eagles that are not flying, but we are playing Zambia that look more dangerous praying that we meet the lions in the finals.
