Business / Re: Buying Agricultural Products In The North And Selling In The South by iniobong888(m): 7:38pm On Oct 26, 2012
i stay in the north( kaduna) i am into agribusiness and agric value chain, they are lot of agric products that you can buy from the north and sell in lagos, but first you have to have a viability study and decide if you want to sell perishable or non perishable. one of the very vital factor in this business is the pricing and of course it is a two way thing , you have to do your homework to determine they selling price in Lagos and in the north, the price in the north is based on the location and the season, . other factors to be consider is the packaging and they logistics. i could be of help here since i stay in the north , however they is a better way to go about these business, if you are interested then mail me iniobong4solution@gmail.com or call 07034706326.

estuaryfe: Dear Nairalanders,

Please, what are the major Peanut Butter products in Nigeria?

I am interested in setting up a Peanut Butter processing plant in Nigeria.

Any other advice you can give me is welcomed.

Thanks in advance for your response.
Everything spins around peanut which is your basic raw material in this project, i seriously think that you should do a viability study to determine if your project is doable or not. I could be of help in this area as I am in the agric value chain sector. i stay in the north where this basic raw material for this project is obtain. You can contact me(mr. Business / Re: Fry Centre Biz. Pls Help! by iniobong888(m): 3:50am On Sep 28, 2012
There is a lot of ways u can brand yours and make it stand out. Firstly you could use foil papers or wedding plasters to package you fries . The quality and the size also matters. If your shop is large enough you can add a freezer and retail frozen chicken, chips even fish. But take them step by step more of like an expansion plan.

Opportunity in Agriculture is great but without security I don't think any sane person would want to head that direction.[/

you dont have to head north to make it in Agriculture, the opportunity are enormous as you said in agriculture, the people that make more money from agric- business are not the farmers but the value- chains(er), they make 500% more than the farmers, so don't see Agriculture only from the perspective of hoe and cutlass and farming.
there are many things that you can do in agric, you can do packaging, repackaging,agric- value chain, warehousing, sourcing, logistics, P.S.S. etc the list is endless. Agric-biz is one business that if you get the right information, you will sure smile to the bank. I think i would like to contribute the the little opportunities i know in Agriculture value chain. Business To Business / Re: Looking For Yam Suppliers by iniobong888(m): 6:17pm On Sep 12, 2012
yogbal_anima: Dear all,

We are majorly looking for suppliers who can supply

Yam ,
Vegetables
( Carrots,
Cauliflower,
Okra,
Green beans,
Green Peas,
chillies- rodo sombo, Tatashe) and

We are very clear about the specifications of Yam :

b. Especially white yam ( Abuja variety )
c. We accept only matured tubers.
d. Quantity of yam tubers as accepted by us after the inspection.
e. Any defected ones will be rejected.
f. The weighment is based only for the good and fresh Yams.
Minimum Qty that can be accepted is 10 MT unless otherwise specified and agreed upon qty by both the parties.
g. Top of the truck has to covered with tharpolene to reduce sunburns and protect from rain and etc and ensure proper inflow of air through the truck body

m. Top of the truck has to covered with tharpolene to reduce sunburns and protect from rain and etc and ensure proper inflow of air through the truck body

These are the specifications we are looking for the vegetables from the suppliers.

We are very clear about the specifications of Pine Apple.

a. It should be fresh ones especially MD-2 varieties
b. Fully Matured not ripen one.
c. Quantity pine apple as accepted by us after the inspection.
d. Any defected ones and variety mixed ones will be rejected.

We believe in the suppliers to look into their prices as low as market prices because our targeted quantities are high.

Yes we can supply you Yam, but when you talk about yam supply , you have to state what you intend to use the yam for reasons being that they are different varieties(species) of yam that are white, that are farm in Abuja, so please get in touch with these no 07034706326 or email iniobong4solution@gmail.com

DANILSA: I think another good biz is been a distributor, I could become a distributor for nettle water and other products. Before I left portharcourt I saw a new detergent which was only supplied by one guy, I then asked him to give me the company address so I could become a distributor in Abuja but the guy refuse, unless I buy from him,if I had gotten the address I could have introduced the brand in Abuja and followed up with an aggressive marketing pattern. But still searching for products that have not yet saturated the market and has an average capital start-up for distributors. All survival process, man must be independent of Oyibo work.grin
you would have bought a pack from him and on the pack the company address is written there, however we have a product that is relatively new called rafo ground rice, it is a substitue to semovita, garri and pounded yam flour,it is doing well in kaduna, kano but we are yet to get a distributor in Abuja. Since you are in abuja we could talk business.our factory is in kaduna so pls call me on dis no 07034706326 and we will take it from there.

2ruink: I greet u all my fellow Nairalanders! people refer to this country as a land of opportunities business wise but I'm yet to find those hidden opportunities. I have done business for a few number of years now tho poor start up capital but nothing to show for it. I believe strongly that two heads are better than one. Perhaps that which we could not see as single individuals might be unveiled here. let's talk business guys. let's talk ourselves into new opportunities.
First of all you must have the positive mindset that opportunity actually exist in Nigeria, you must also believe that Rome was not built in a day, so in any business you are entering into what perspective are you bring into the business? what home work have you done? maybe the time you switch off to other business was actually going to be your boom time, secondly what new innovation are you adding to the business? what gives your business an advantage over your competitors? i think the way to go about this is to bring your previous business to the forum let Xray it and see possible ideas that can make it stand out .

Business / Re: Pls Put Me Through On Agric Business by iniobong888(m): 5:55am On Jul 18, 2012
there is a whole lot of things that you can do with agric products you can go into agricvalue-chain, you can be a broker, you can supply, you sell, you can go into storage, a whole lot . you can go into P.S.S.
let assume you want to sell or supply, my brother you have to do your assignment, you have to identity which product or products you want to sell or supply , where are you going to get it cheap and sell/ supply, but you have to ask questions from people who are doing business with the products in because each products or foods stuff has a secret that you must learn from the masters, failure to do this might cost you money and time , secondly you can add your own out of the box idea to what they have given you.
next steps if you have to take into account how your storage will be in consideration to the type of food products you are going into, keeping in mind that this products all have life span, you have to take into consideration what is your capital and what your likely turnover will be . there are others things you need to take in consideration if you are still interested then feel free to send me a mail(iniobong4solution@gmail.com) or place a call(07034706326)
