Agriculture / Get Position To Tap From The Ginger Billion Dollar Market by iniobong888(m): 11:18am On Nov 24, 2021
The 2021 ginger season is now open. There are many players in the ginger value chain, the farmers, local buyers, the seller, the middlemen, the hustlers, the foreigners (trooping to the local villages in their numbers) and lastly you can join the chain if you are positioned well.
This year(2021) ginger season had a lot of factors that worked in its favour, COVID-19 increased the awareness of taking ginger (not suggesting anything), the devaluation of currency affected the price of the commodity.
Despite all this, Nigeria produced 31 million metric tons of ginger while the demand is at 65 million tons that’s 34 million metric ton shortage waiting for you to fill in . However, Nigeria is the third largest producer of ginger in the world. Nigeria’s ginger is the best in the world for its aroma, pungency, high oil content and Oleoresin as its distinctive features.
Ginger open up this season with fresh ginger ranging from N100,000 to N120,000 per ton. Dry split ginger is now going for N900,000 per metric ton; actually this is the farmgate price. International price of fresh ginger hover from $1200 to $1500 per ton, while the price of dry split ginger is dancing around $3000 to $3500 per ton. Ginger powder sells from $25 to $30 per kg, while crystalline ginger flex goes between $3200 to $4000 per ton. Extracted ginger oil selling between $100 or $150 per kg.( Prices of ginger fluctuates like every other commodities )
So, how do you position yourself in this market ? There are different segments of the ginger value chain that you can decide to be a player in. One can decide to play in the farmgates level as a farmer or as an aggregator, from the aggregation centre, processing, distribution and warehousing ( one can do storage to maximize price or hedge against price ) can be undertaken.
Additional, One can decide to go into exporting the following ginger products:
1. Fresh ginger
2. Dry split ginger
3. Ginger powder
4. Crystalline ginger flakes
5. Ginger oil .
Another way to get into these ginger value chain is by being a ginger farmer , get a farm anyway that the soil is suitable for ginger farming . It is a myth that ginger only grows in southern kaduna, they only have more ginger farmers. This makes it why it’s a ginger hub. If you want to plant ginger in the next planting season, now is the best time to get your ginger rhizomes ( ginger seed).
Another means to get into the ginger value chain is by processing , one can process ginger into powder or extract oil from ginger, this pay premium in comparison to just exporting raw ginger without adding any value.
It’s also interesting to understand the different price options in the ginger value chain. There are three price models in the ginger valuechain, namely;
i)Farmgate price
ii) Aggregator price
iii) International price

The Farmgate price is where farmers sell straight from their farm or farmmarket and they don’t understand weight measurement and hence their price is per bag as a against per ton. The Aggregator buys at the farmgates .
The Aggregator price , they established their prices after processing and cleaning the products they bought at the farmgates prices. The aggregators process the products into international and export standard for exporting, he fixes his prices with consideration to what the international prices is.
The international price is one of the main factors that determine the farmgate price and also the Aggregator price. However this price is subject to the value we put in .
Any position you wish to play in the ginger value chain make sure that you are adding value and not just exporting raw material . This create wealth and employment along the value chain and trigger positive economic metric.

Ginger can be planted anywhere the soil meet the specification for ginger growth. It is just that Southern Kaduna has more ginger farmers than any other place in the country. So it appears to be the ginger hub for now .

Agriculture / Millions From Your Village by iniobong888(m): 2:22pm On Nov 07, 2021
The price of food has skyrocketed in the last three months. Nigerians have not had it easy, as inflation with currency devaluation is eating deep into our pocket. Before now, an average Nigeria spends 50% or 60% of his disposable income on food. The present reality reveals that an average Nigerian will be spending 70 to 80% of his income on food.

Unfortunately the price of food items continues to record significance increase with most of them not returning to their initial prices. Herein lay an opportunity that a lot of Nigerians have overlooked we have farming plots in the rural areas that are laying waste especially in our ancestral home. Even when you don’t have in your name you can lease from your village.
There are crops that can be planted and one will outsource the operation of the farm to capable hands. At the end of the period, You get your returns, both parties smile to the bank. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not proposing that you become a farmer. Although hunger affects everyone despite their social class. There are crops that you can plant once in awhile you pop in to see how they’re doing. To take this trail, make sure it is a medium or long term crop so that you are not overburdened visiting the farm. You can look at crops like ginger, cassava, plantain etc. One can even plants economical trees like pawpaw, palm trees, avocado pear etc. Agriculture is the “IN” thing now. It is even better when it is leverage with the Internet.
All things said, please don’t just dabble into this for the sake of additional source of income. Do your due diligence. Have a business plan and find capable hands to run it.

Agriculture / Spice Up And Make Millions by iniobong888(m): 11:21am On Oct 30, 2021
As children growing up, we would always look forward to the December holidays. At that time, grandma would furnish us with her delicious meal thats were well spiced.
The spices that grandma used back then are still with us, but rarely seen in the supermarket shelves today. Most of the spices at still in their raw forms, some are not even processed but we are promoting and using foreign spices that we don't know the contents. Gone are the days that our best pepper soup was from spices that were local. Spices like “Uda” seed or Negro pepper “eeru alamo” (Yoruba) “Uda iri”(Hausa) “lyere”(Yoruba) and alligator pepper. These could be developed into a spice recipe for pepper soup. It could either be combined or processed as a single spiced .
In a country like Nigeria where the average citizens spent over 70% of his disposable income on food, the spices industries worth over $45 billion there are numerous opportunities to exploit in the industry either locally or internationally.
As an entrepreneur you can start a small operation from your kitchen. There are many ways to process by either in powdered , liquid or semi- liquid form. The idea is to get a unique recipe either a combination of two or more spices. It could also be spicy with other food for example, imagine combining pepper ,crayfish, onion flakes(dehydrated) and egusi(blended) in one pack. This brand can be created from the kitchen.
As demand increases, it will be time to scale up and meet with the regulatory authorities(NAFDAC and SON) The marketing of spices even at the kitchen level could be leveraged on the social media. The is a huge portunity in packaging spices, make a recipe that it markets accepts but locally and internationally and you will smile to the bank.
If you need business plan finally blueprint about spices production or scaling up, give me a call.

Agriculture / Investment Opportunities With Selected Agro Value Chain. by iniobong888(m): 10:04pm On Jan 18, 2021
A standing ovation to Nigeria, according to FAO( 2019)Nigeria is the highest producers of the following crops in the world . These are;
1. Cassava
2. Melon seed
3. Cowpea dry
4. Yam
5. Cocoyam
6. Kolanuts
7. Sheanut
Nigeria is the second highest producer of the following
a) fonio
b)Sorghum
c)Ginger
d)Cashew
e)Sweet potatoes
f)Okra
These crops mentioned above has a lot of business opportunities to explore. During the harvesting season of these crops, there is always a lot of supply and some will rot away because we haven’t created effective demand for them, We would look at some of the ways we could explore these opportunities as stated below;
1.Industrial uses:
Most of these agro produce have industrial uses, you can identify them and have understanding of the specification that the factory needs and start supplying. E.g, Sorghum is used in the production of beer and malt. Cassava is used by pharmaceutical companies, breweries, food companies etc. This is an opportunity to leverage on. Some of these agro produce can be supplied processed or unprocessed depending on the factory specification.
2. Logistics: there is a huge opportunity in the provision of logistic services.
There is a big margin between the price of agro produce from the rural area where it is harvested and cities where it is consumed, if one can leverage on the supply of logistics between where it is harvested and the cities. It will be a big source of revenue.
3.Processing and Packaging
Among these list there are some products that can be processed and packaged from the comfort of your house or kitchen. It could also be started on a small scale production and then scale up as demand increases. One only needs some machines and the technical knowhow to start production. Agro produce like fonio is still in it teething stage as most people don’t know about its health benefits. Do you know that you could bring in different flavour of cashew into the market and that can be done from your kitchen for a start ?

4.Export
Some of the above mentioned agro produce can be exported, all you need to do is to get an export license then find buyers which can be done over the internet. One can form a cooperative of sort to raise the reqired finance when starting out.
5.Creating Innovative platform around this value chain.
There is so much value that can be derived from agricultural produce when the value chain is created and this could be arranged with the help of technology. One can create a platform for the value chain to strive and then leverage on the value each stalkholder brings to the platform.

While this Covid period has been challenging, Agro business value chain has created ample opportunities for people to leverage on.

When people think of setting up poultry farms, two things run in their mind either selling eggs or meat. Their are other part of the value chain that is a money spinner that people don’t consider, two of the value chain in this sector is production of egg yolk powder and egg shell powder.
The Manufacturer Association of Nigeria has members companies mostly in confectionery request “Form M” for raw materials to import $1Billon worth of egg yolk powder and egg shell powder.
The demand for egg yolk powder and egg shell powder is very high, unfortunately they companies producing these in the country is not meeting up to 5% of the demand.
Egg powder is used for preparation of Ice cream, bread, cakes, biscuits, noodles, Custard and in some pastries. Egg shell powder is used in cosmetics, pharmaceutical, used in feeds for livestock, fertilizer and as an abrasive agent in making toothpaste. The egg shell that you consider to be waste.
If you set up a company that services 10% of the market demand for egg yolk powder and egg shell powder, that is 100million dollar in revenue. Apart machines and certification, one major concern will be how to get the main raw material which is fresh eggs. This could be achieved either by partnership with poultry farmers or one set up a poultry farm, however they are other disruptive ways this could be handle.
This is a business that is a money spinner because on demand and one can start basic on his financial capacity.

Agriculture / Take A Piece Of The Billion Dollars Spices Market by iniobong888(m): 7:05am On Oct 05, 2020
What is Pepper soup without pepper or Soup without crayfish and pepper? Who would cook Jollof rice or fried rice without spices. Spices is an Integral part of our meal. We all know that spices are seeds, fruits, roots bark and other substances primarily used in flavouring and colouring food.
Spices indigenous to us are pepper, thyme, Nutmeg, black pepper, onions, Basil, Onions, locust Beans, scent leave, ginger, garlic and turmeric , it is not limited to this list. In 2019 according to the Bureau of statistics Nigeria total spending on food was N22.8 trillion, the amount spent on food is inclusive of spice as a matter of fact, the value chain of Spices in Nigeria is worth over $2billion (RMRDC)
This is sector of the food industry that has many opportunities that are not explored, some of the opportunities in this value chain could be grouped into
1. Processing and Packaging of Spices ( this could be outsource to a packaging and processing company ) you focus on marketing and a company packages for you.
2. Farming of Spice
3. Marketing of Spices
4. Exporting of Spices( with proper guidance it is easier to export to U. S. A.)
5. Electronic distribution of Spices

1. Processing and Packaging of Spices : There are many indigenous spices that is not packaged and they are crying for attention, do you know that we can have a mixture of two to three spices mixed together. Some of this Spices can be processed into dry form and some could come in either liquid form or in dry form , it could also serves as a table shaker handy for table meals .
Interestingly there are companies that can outsource processing and packaging to while you focus on marketing.
2. Farming of Spices: In cultivating spices one need to do a deep analysis and a business plan, taking into consideration the type of Spices that is economically viable. Taking a case of planting one hectare of Pepper, with one good seed, one would have 3- 5 tons of Pepper, pepper Sells for N8,000 for 20kg, it even goes as higher as N21,000 during off season. It is a commodity that can give one up to N1,200,000 or above depends on the price per ton, with expense one can make a net profit of N800,000 per hectare.
3. Marketing of Spices: There are opportunities in the marketing of Spice, if one buys spices from the farmgate and sells in commercial cities. An example of this is buying dry pepper during harvesting season for N15,000 to N18,000 and selling two months after for N30,000 to N35,000. There are also spices that you can buy repackaged and sell, for some spices one can buy and process.
4. Exporting Spices: One should take a piece of the $16.5billion international market for spices, which we have some spices in Nigeria that is highly needed in the international market. It is interesting to note that some of these spices commands higher value when process. For example powdered ginger is more expensive than dry split ginger.
5. Electronic distribution of Spices: one can design an application that is solely on distribution of Spices
I can bring Structure to your spices business, provide a business plan for spices. There is a company that you could outsource processing and packaging to, this makes it possible to save money and focus on marketing. Iniobong(08102816356)

Agriculture / Are You A Businessman(woman) Or An Entrepreneur by iniobong888(m): 10:00pm On Jul 16, 2020
What distinguish a business man from an entrepreneur especially in a country like Nigeria. I think it is in the way the offer solutions. An entrepreneur thinks outside the box and he is innovative with his business ideas, where as a businessman sometimes carries a mass mentality. Everyone goes into a particular line of business and the businessman is there also without any differentiation in his product or services.
In Nigeria, there are ample opportunities that are not yet to be explored especially in the food value chain sector. If you take a bag of Irish potatoes that is 55kg which sell between N15,000 to N20,000 from the farmgate or farm. lf a businessman, takes delivery of the Irish Potatoes he can decides to sell for N25,000 to N35,000 or he can go ahead to divide it into 5kg and sell each for N3500, at the end of the day he would have made at least from 50% to 70% profit. This is what the mass(mentality) do and so the businessman man follow suit.
As a entrepreneur, who thinks outside the box, you could decide to do French fries, potatoes chips, or potatoes flour. If we settle for French fries(which is easier with a kitchen machine) which goes for N1000 per kg at a distributor price, after processing one would have at least 45kg this would translate into N45,000. An entrepreneur would make at least 150% to 200% profit.
Using the above case study you find out that as an entrepreneur you have satisfy your client emotional needs for French fries and has also save them time for peeling and turning the Irish Potatoes .
This line of thinking is what differentiates the businessman from an entrepreneur. So when approaching a business look for ways to multiple value. Think outside the box.
Are you a businessman(woman) or an entrepreneur.?

There are a lot of opportunities in the agro sector, most people are scared of the finance, forgetting that the idea first and the money will follow.
Agriculture / NAFDAC: An Opportunity To Create Wealth. by iniobong888(m): 6:49am On May 18, 2020
NAFDAC ( National agency for food and drug administration and control ) has launched a new palliative for SME and MSME as a means of job creation and reducing the burden of COVID-19.
There are opportunities in this new line of thinking that NAFDAC has introduced. Product registration will be done online, which will make it easier and faster. Secondly the timeline to get a product register is now 90 days. Thirdly, you can share a production line with a factory that manufacture the same product.
My aim of writing this is to see how to exploit this opportunities.
With these new innovation an entrepreneur can register up to five products at a very reduce price. Product registration is now N5,000 a product while laboratory analysis is N10,000 per sample.
Secondly, an entrepreneur who doesn't have the funds to install the necessary machines for production can create an understanding with a factory owner who has the production machine.
Thirdly, one can produce three to five different products that use the same production line for example .
1. Spices: Different flavour of spices
2. Tea: Different flavour of tea
3. Flour(for swallow) Plantain flour, yam flour, Potatoes flour, fiono flour, rice flour
4. Custard, Millet, Beans flour
5. Food supplement
6. Snacks: Plantain chips, potatoes chips groundnut, dryfruits.
7. The list is inexhaustible

Just be innovative and unique in your product mix and packaging.
In as much this is an opening to take advantage of, an entrepreneur must make sure that he does his homework. Have an understanding of what you are going into, do a feasibility and business plan.
This is your time to create wealth.

Irish potatoes can be source from plateau state and Kaduna state , for the price it depends on the season and the month you are buying.
Agriculture / Millions From Side Hustle. by iniobong888(m): 12:45am On May 07, 2020
The season of covid 19 became an August visitor in February, it has made us to see and evaluate our finance from another perspective.

The question is, if this lock down was to continue for another 2 to 3 months how would you fare financially ?

It will be interesting to note that having only one source of income will not sustain your needs, even when you could sustain there is a need to have an additional source of income or multiple sources of income. it is time to think inwardly, there are products that you can market on the side or there are services that you could provide and this becomes a side hustle.
Through one can employ one or two hands to help as the business scale up, more hands will be added .

The question is what side hustle do you do that wouldn’t distract one from the main source of income till this hustle became another major source of income?

There is a whole lot of opportunities scatter around. look for opportunity that align with your passion and has less distraction. For a start you will be looking at bringing cost to barest minimum.

People must eat and having business in the food value chain sector is sector that people can't do without This sector is a gold mine because people eat daily. Your kitchen will be your production unit for a start and with one or two machines you are good to start. One or two extra hands you are good to start depending on what you decide to do .
Let look at some products / services that can be package from the comfort of your kitchen.

1.Turning irish potatoes into french fries
2. Making fruit juice and smoothie.
3. Spices packaging
4.Tea packaging
5. Cashew and other dry fruit packaging
6. Coconut chips
7. Home baking
8. Tomatoes packing ( Seasonal)
9. Flour packaging ( beans, yam and plantain )
10. Home made chinchin, plantain chips and a whole lot more
We need to plan in all we do and side hustle is not an exception. it is important that you get a business plan, ( this will help you to have a sense of direction for the business, what(machinery and technical know how) is require even at the hustling stage.
As we pray and hope for the best, it is also time to put in the thinking cap, how to add another stream or streams of income .
Agriculture / Have Your Tea Brand . by iniobong888(m): 2:48am On Mar 03, 2020
Have you ever taken a cup of tea and wish that one day you would own your own brand of tea? This is possible to own a brand and not just a brand but also a unique flavour .
Lately, taking tea has become a part of our culture that we have borrow form other clime. It is not bad but we have not fully tap into the opportunities that this culture has, to create our own unique market.
It is interesting to note that tea drinking help reduce blood glucose and lower the risk of cancer, tea also has antioxidant effect on our body. It would be proper to say that there is a medicinal effect of tea in our body .
We have some many agro raw material that we could turn into tea around us. If you go into some rural communities you notice that there are medicinal drinks that you will be given to cure certain aliments. There are drinks that you are given once you are feeling feverish and in matter of minutes you will be OK. So if you are looking at tea from the medicinal point of view there is a lot around us to turn into tea. (So may be you would start talking with your granny for that special tea recipe.)
Blending Ginger and garlic, spiced up with honey would make a nice tea recipe but most times we think of this products only as raw materials for export, forgetting that we would make more if we export our tea as a finised product. Chairman, this could be your brand. Interesting, you could take it a little further by adding an anticold spice and it will be serving mult purposes.
Ginger, garlic, hibiscus, Cocoa, Mint, Moringa, lemon grass, tiger nut , dates and a lot more can be turn or combine into tea of different flavour ( I can mention more than ten combination) Do you know that our local kunu drink(i don't see it as local anyway)can be turn into tea ( a topic for another day)
So, it is possible to have your own brand of tea, package and sold around the world, with unique flavour that is trademark.

Extracted from my upcoming book.

Agriculture / Side Hustle : Irish Potatoes by iniobong888(m): 10:36pm On Feb 26, 2020
As the country moves through diversification of the economy. Everyone should also should consider adding several side hustle to the main occupation. The side hustle will later expand to the point of being one of the main source of revenue.

One of the side hustle that we will consider today is the business in the Irish Potatoes value chain. As the country population increase, so does the need to feed the expanding population. That responsibility is open for you to exploit.

There is a enomorous opportunities in Irish Potatoes value chain. Irish Potatoes is a tuberous crop that takes 3 to 4 months to harvest depending on the specie. It is interesting to note that one can plant Irish Potatoes three times in a year. This is a golden opportunity for people going into farming it. As a side hustle one can get the land outsource the farm management to a farm manager or a firm. With a good agronomy pracite and a fertile soil, one can expect 5 to 10 tonnes per hectare.

Secondly, one could do small scale production from the comfort of one's kitchen. The Machine to peel and cut Irish Potatoes into French fries size can also cut into potato chips size. This could provide employment for two to three people.

Thirdly, Irish Potatoes can be dehydrated and turn into flour, which is a good source of fibre and it will be eaten as sallow.

In addition, as a side hustle one can order Irish Potatoes from the North and either sell it the way it came and make some margin, or one could decide to break it down to small size.

It is interesting to note that everyone one must eat but we sometimes look down on some of this occupation as reserve for people down the base of the Pyramid, but there is a a lot of profit to be made by thinking outside the box in the Irish value chain.

Agriculture / Making Millions From Innovative Honey Packaging by iniobong888(m): 4:31am On Nov 01, 2019
" A foreigner told me that Nigeria has the best honey in the world, she buys plenty from here to her country and packages it as a product from her country for export. She has been doing this for 15 year"
There is so much demand for Honey locally and internationally. My concern here will be restricted to local consumption. In this age and time, a lot of people prefer honey to sugar with the belief that honey is healthier. It is reported that Nigerians imported over $2billion worth of Honey in the last two years.
Interestingly, there are opportunities in the Honey value chain that an entrepreneur can exploit. Unfortunately, 90 percent of the Honey brands in our supermarket shelves are foreign brand and some of these brands are not as rich as Nigerian Honey. On a careful examination you will find out that the packaging is highly price above the reach of the lower class. The gap here is to give the market an innovative packaging that addresses the Honey needs of all class of consumer locally.
Sachet marketing can be used as a model to capture the lower end of the untapped honey market. This will encourage single serving consumption as you only buy the quantity of Honey you want to use. This will further deepens the Honey value chain and fast track Honey to be FCMG.
The machine to use for this innovative packaging is affordable and I can present you with a business plan that will address all your concerns, from sourcing, packing, finance and marketing

Side Hustle

It is most people desire to have multiple stream of income but we sometimes find out that the 8am to 5pm employment carries the day. This could be so time demanding that some are left with no extra time to carry out an extra activities that would bring in extra income.
In Nigeria, an average Nigerian spend over 55% of his income on food depending on his income bracket. In this era of multiple taxes it is imperative that one find a way to make an extra income. So I will be doing a series on products that you can produce from your home.
Our product under review today will be production of French fries, depending on the time of the year Irish potatoes goes for N12,000 to N 10,000 for a 50kg bag while 2.5kg of French fries goes for N2,700 to N3,000 depending on the brand. So, this give you an idea of where to pitch your price and this is also a subject of your cost of processing. The strategy here is to keep it as fresh as possible.
The idea here is to start small with small kitchen processor and then scale up when the demand is high, this can also employ one or two people but kept as a side hustle. In this regard you will be selling to your friends and families.
If you have only one source of income it is high time to have a rethink and create another source.

Agriculture / Getting A Slice Of The Billions From The Spice Industry In Nigeria by iniobong888(m): 12:59am On Aug 14, 2019
What will your meal taste like if there was no spice or seasoning in it? One would almost vomit. In this part of our world Spices has become an integral part of a meal. The spice industry is a business industry that we have left to the multinationals that produced seasonings e.g maggi, knorr and the rest but there are ample of opportunities that can be tapped from this billon dollar industry.
Spices are not only limited to our meals only. It is also widely used in the pharmaceutical industry and the cosmetic industry. For e.g. oil extract from ginger as a spice is both used in the pharmaceutical industry as a well as the cosmetic industry. So this one spice has multiple uses. There are many spices in Nigeria that is calling for innovative packaging and processing. A run down of the Spices we have in this country include: Thyme, Curry, Pepper, Black pepper, Nutmeg, Onions, Ginger, African Locust beans, Garlic, cloves, black sesame seed, shallot( you can add to the list).
There is a serious demand for spices and seasonings in Nigeria and abroad. The space to make money in this industry calls for understanding the market and thinking outside the box. If you can package different spice for different meal, e.g if you fill in a single sachet spice that is use for pepper soup, or imaging having a better processing of African locust beans(called Iru in Yoruba,Ogiri Okpi in Igbo and Dawadawa in Hausa)into powder and other spices added or have product that is addition of pepper and crayfish. I can produce a lot of this but I'm limited by space.
Spices like ginger, garlic and tumeric are constantly demanded for export as it is international demanded. Ginger form Nigeria is highly prefer Internationally than Ginger from else where. The goodnews is that one can start this from the comfort of your kitchen.
As earlier said, how to make money form this sector is factor of your innovation and packaging. If you are interested in a report on this and feasibility study(although this goes for a fee) then drop your email and text me . email: iniobong4solution@gmail.com 08160233111

Agriculture / Tapping The Billions From Alternative To Bottle Water. by iniobong888(m): 4:27am On Aug 06, 2019
The bottle water industry as a part of the beverage industry in Nigeria is so crowded and competition is so heated up. There are more than 1000 registered bottle water company in Nigeria, ranging from FCMG that are multi-national to beverages companies, as matter of fact, all most all the biggest beverages companies in Nigeria has a bottled water brand, Coca-Cola has Eva water, Aquafina water is a brand by Pesi , La Casera has Nirvana brand , the list is huge, I mean it is a really competitive space to play in .
An entrepreneur can decide to be innovative by creating or producing an alternative product to bottle water like juice or flavored water. We would zero in on flavored water in this article and juice in another writeup. It is reported by a research company called Euromonitor that the juice and beverages sector in Nigeria is Worth N938 billion this was as of 2016 ( flavored water is a segment of the beverages industry).
There is a high demand for flavored water depending on what you have as content, it is a market that is not as competitive as bottled water , this segment of the beverages industry, is still in its teething stage .This can be seem as a opportunity for early birds to take a sizeable market share before the hawks arrive.
To be innovative in the flavored market is to think seriously outside the box, there are ample opportunities in this segment that can be exploited. As a matter of fact there are innovative products that can decide a lifestyle for it users and this will go a long way to a create a huge market .
If you create a product that is centered on lemon and water , for example, this product will be view as a flavored water,as an antioxidant and it refresh the body . There is already a market for this product, and a lifestyle that will follow. There are many more of this innovative products of that can be created , one only needs to think outside the box .
Interestly, most of the raw materials that is needed for production of flavored water is abundant in Nigeria. It will be a interesting space to play in before the sharks come in .

Agriculture / Making Millions From Alternatives To Cow Milk by iniobong888(m): 10:33am On Jul 30, 2019
The central bank of Nigeria recently made a report that it want to restrains importers of milk from interbank foreign exchange. What this means is that C.B.N will restricts the sale of forex to the importers of Milk.
This purported moves has some economic benefit and ofcourse it also carry with it some setback. One of the economic benefits is that the dairy industry will grow. This will be translated into growth in the value chain that drives the dairy industry and through the multiple effect boost the economy.
Nigeria consumes 1.7 million tonnes of Milk yearly but produces 34 percent of that value, there is a gap of 1 million tonnes of Milk according to C.B.N. The forex allocation for milk is 1.5 billion dollars yearly.
One of the many opportunities I see in this is the ample room for an entrepreneur to look at producing milk from other sources apart from cow. These sources are non- dairy milk that are extracted from plant sourced such as nuts, seeds, grains even from goats. These sources have an advantage over cow milk in several ways namely;
1.this sources especially plant extract are cholesterol free
2. Promote weight loss and has low fatty acid
3. Prevent Cancer
4. Alleviate postmenopausal syndrome
5. It acts as an antioxidant.
6. A better source o protein .
These non dairy Milk can be extract from these raw material that we have abundant in Nigeria namly :
1) Soya milk
2) Cashew Milk
3) Coconut Milk
4) Rice Milk
5) Goat Milk ( although not from plant source but very rich )
This is the time to utilize this opportunity and be a player in the Milk industry. We will would arranged a bankable feasibility study for you if you need and also how to get funding. You can text 08160233111 for more information.

Agriculture / Positioning Early To Make Dollars From Ginger Value Chain by iniobong888(m): 5:34pm On Jan 03, 2017
POSITIONING EARLY TO MAKE DOLLARS FROM GINGER VALUE CHAIN
Wow, it was so much fun after the festivity, they was a lot of spending on food, cloths, party, and what have you, I bet the merriment was worth the time.
Happy New Year, Congratulations, welcome to the year 2017. I believe and see this to be a year with a lot of opportunities in the agricultural value chain sector waiting to exploited.
As we begin 2017, first, imagine that it’s December 2017, imagine that you have to look back into 2017 and reconcile your achievement against your goal, the economy and score yourself. What would you earn in dollars? The opportunities are they, the expertise is available, are you willing to plunge in?
We are all aware that agriculture value chain is the future of this country. One subsector that I think is worth considering should be the Ginger value chain, it is a subsector that you can earn dollars right here in Nigeria.
The big question is which of these value chains are you involved in? There are different ways that you can be a player in the ginger value chain, either from the farming to export process, or you could come into processing, or into warehousing or logistics.
If you are considering going into ginger farming for export purpose, now is the right time to make a move. Foreigners are not satisfied again with buying from farmers, they are going into large scale farming of ginger, especially Indians. So what are waiting for? Another good thing is that is an export incentive that may be paid at the end of the year. So what are you waiting for?
