Innobee99, I would only add that it is not an absolute requirement that you make amends to everyone you have offended. It is not always practicable or wise and people will not always be willing to forgive you.

What you must keep in mind is that all sin is really against God and when we try to make amends with other people, it is to try to fix an otherwise desirable relationship which we damaged by out actions. The fact that our overtures of reconciliation are rejected does not mean that God does not forgive us. If it is possible and wise, seek forgiveness from those you have offended. But whether or not they offer it, if you have confessed to God and repented, you are free.

May the Lord's Grace keep you.

If you cannot see the person you offended, that will not stop you from receiving forgiveness From God through Jesus.

Let's say I stole someone's phone long ago, I can make amends by giving cash back. Maybe double of the amount.. or triple.

The owner might not know why I am doing that,

Without wasting much of our time, let me go straight to the point. There are times you go wrong against someone, it could be ur neighbour, friend, siblings or even anyone without their consent.
Now, the question is, how do u ask for forgiveness? And secondly, when can ur sin be forgiven?
Main Senerio: How do u ask for forgiveness?
Sometimes u feel shy to tell someone that his or her missing phone or property is with u but right within ur heart u feel sorry and remorseful for ur action but can't directly walk to that person to tell him or her u're sorry. Now, can ur sin be forgiven wen u only ask for forgiveness from God without literally asking for forgiveness from the victim?
Also, there are times u begin to recall many u have offended in the past and maybe u can't even set ur eyes on these persons till eternity. Must u ask for forgiveness from those u have offended before God can forgive u?
Please I need meaningful responses from this great family.

My heart was filled with great joy when i woke with the sound of a message beep on my phone. And to my greatest suprise, it was a birthday wish from the the greatest social platform in Nigeria {nairaland}. Whenever i feel depressed and lonely i run to this forum to laugh over my pains because nairaland is filled with great and wonderful people.
I want to thank the mods and fans of nairaland for always being there. My prayer is that u shall all be celebrated in a greater dimension.
The good news is that the birthday was a huge success.
