duni04: Nigeria doesn't have a trained anti riot police. Usually when protests like this one occur, we draft the Police or the Military in, and these guys are not trained to handle protesting civilians. The IPOD protesters blocked the Niger bridge and at a point even attempted to over run a checkpoint. The Military and police won't stand by and allow themselves to be disarmed. So shooting at the protesters is the easiest option available. Not defending them, but in saner countries you do not send armed military personnel to handle protests, its a recipe for disaster like we saw today. i doff my hat for you bro...hyprocites shouting peaceful protest up and down when nothing was peaceful about the protest. This is Nigeria where the only weapon our armed forces have in abundant is AK-47....People should learn how to judge without sentiments, you try to shove a police man, what other option does he have than to shoot. |

ibedun: I would rather be called a coward than start a war the Ojukwu way. We all know what happened to the 3 million lost souls and SE standing in Nigeria.
Yoruba people own and run Kwara. There is nothing to fight for unless for reckless bravado (the Ojucrook way).
I will begin to worry when a non-Yoruba becomes the governor, deputy governor, Emir, speaker etc etc in Kwara. God bless you... When they disturb themselves about Ilorin I just laugh. There's nothing fulani in Ilorin, these people should stop reading nonsense online, they should just go over and see things themselves. |

mandax: There is no proof in your statement that most people voted APC because of Buhari. After all, Buhari had contested three times before APC. Why did most people not vote for Buhari before APC? Or did Buhari become an angel overnight before 2013 when APC was formed?
Truth is that most people voted APC because of the people in APC, not just for Buhari.
Repeat, Buhari has no business appointing crucial aides and ministers without involvement of APC hierarchy. it's really annoying when people say APC is in power because of Buhari... The truth is, Buhari won't be president today without APC. |

Bollinger: While i was still at ilorin, there was this ugly mofo with the worst tribal marks i had ever seen on a human being. But, he had the attention of all the beautiful chicks on campus, wore the baddest clothes, and was always on ride. His name was Ajia. I say "was" cause last i heard, he was executed for some political killings he did for some politicians in Ilorin. I remember one day, i and tony tetuila was strolling back from a night reading class when this mofo accosted us. His grief was that tony was toasting one of the chicks he was targeting. Tony was always a ladies man, even with his k leg. Ol'boy, come see threat. I was almost pissing my pants. Things would have gotten really bad if not for smart diplomacy from tony. That was the last time i was seen publicly on campus with tony. I know wan die. Anyway, i digress. Ajia is dead now and good riddance. All the fine clothes and beautiful girls, where dem de now? Also, God punish Tunde Ojomo. Head of Eiye confraternity 1996. May he rot in Hell for the terror he unleashed on all of us. Ajia is still alive...hale and hearty. |
