dharmeel:What problems have you encountered using the car? And ur general reviews, what present major issues are you facing currently |
I use both cars (2008 altima and 2009 yaris hatchback bought as tokunbo), they are miles apart in functionality and efficiency. If they were both tokunbo my opinion could have been different; buy the yaris cos its gonna be ur little sporty economy padi anytimeT |
What about the Altima model 98-2001, 2007-2012 and 2013-2016. Are they also crappy @gazzuzz. And OP stay away from the car, the gods of cartalk has spoken. |
2008 nissan altima, 18 months asides brakepad/oil change for now, although the rotors are warped, so i will be changing it very soon. 2009 yaris hatchback, 9 months asides oil change. Since the fuel scarcity i have abadoned the altima and embraced the yaris lovingly. The yaris is Rugged, highly fuel efficient and dependable. The altima is my companion before the warped rotors and fuel scarcity. Have missed its Chilly AC and nice sound system. |
I'm a product of a Federal University but the private universities graduate are in par don't be decieved. 60% of the private university students are igi-gbigbe(kpako) their parents wants the best for them. When i did my M.sc then, it was 3 private uni, 1 federal,2 state and 1 poly products that topped the class. Instead of hating; lets join hands and raise Nigeria's falling education standard. |
waiting for their data subcription rates. |
Hello all car users here, please what is the effect of using a new brakepads on warped rotors. |
thanks guys. The issue has been resolved. It was a compressor problem |
seyiaderinto:Pls how do I know it the clutch is engaging. I'm a newbie when it comes to diagnosing problems related to cars. What i know is that the fan rotates when the the AC botton is switched on. |
MrChilaka:The only repair ever was the brakepad which she changed about 2 weeks before I embarked on the journey and the replacement part used isn't the OEM. |
@seyi the regulator is on the blue side. @gazzuzz can you recommend a technician in ibadan? |
hello car gurus. i returned from a journey with my sister's EOD which i used the AC for about 3 days only for me to use it on friday and hot air started blowing. I took it to the AC technician and he confirmed that the compressor was in order, the AC system only needed gas (there was no leakage according to him also) but after the the system has been refilled the AC does not get cold anymore . Please help diagnose what could be wrong. |
enilove:You funny. He saw corolla 2006 before he mentioned camry 2005 and moreso what makes the corolla more durable than the camry. OP choose the merc its far ahead of the camry |

Please all car gurus in the house i need your help. I am new to nairaland. It was recommended to me by a friend. My altima 2008 2.5s guzzles fuel compared to what i read online. The trip computer shows 19.2mpg on city and 20.8 or 21mpg for hwy. A full tank shows a range of 320 miles against to 522 miles i read on samarins.com. The altima 2008 should be 23mpg city and 31 mpg hwy. I need help. |
