omoafolo:An aptitude test varies significantly from recruiter to recruiter. But generally, you can do well to study GMAT questions. All the best in your test. #Insidify |
Mustay:Awesome comments sire. Thank you. |
Akexstinger:Thanks for your comments Alex. You are very correct on some points. However, though the multinationals you mentioned hardly recruit by email, you cannot take away the fact that having an email address that's as professional as can be will do you some good...especially during your interview when your CV will be in front of your interviewers. Thanks again for your wonderful comments. #Insidify |

Smily202:Lol. Not a lot of people know how powerful the email address is in determining how serious a potential employer takes your application. Thank you for your kind words. |
Oxasbi:You are much welcome. |
okonja:Thank you for your kind words. |
Suley316:You are very welcome. Oh? My apologies,I misread the emoticon used. |
Donemmex:Thanks so much for your comments. You are most welcome. Like I said earlier,at Insidify.com, we are not just about jobs but much more about the productivity development of Nigerians. Feel free to reply this thread by dropping your email address,we'll take the conversation there on how to have a professionally crafted CV. #Insidify |
Suley316:Yes,your 'fullname@yahoo.com' is the most professional email you can use in applying for a job, sending your CV,or just generally doing anything official. We all have those funny email addresses such as sexybabe4luv@yahoo.com etc that was the in-thing way back. Please ensure you are not caught using those for anything official. Hope you are no longer confused. ![]() |
Oxasbi:Thank you for your comments. Firstly,it is assumed that it is in applying for a job position that you are sending the mail containing your CV. Some companies would tell you what they require you to address your mail as,simply build on that in one paragraph in the mail you intend to send. It is definitely not advisable to just scan your CV. In fact, refrain from scanning your CV. It should always be in the form of an attachment (either in MSWord or PDF formats) to better preserve the structure and contents therein. Secondly,if you have no job experience relevant to the job position being applied for,you should try to get either a volunteer or internship experience relevant to the position. It is important to show to the potential employer that you are familiar in some way with what is required to get the job done. I hope this helps. #Insidify |
Cutehector4u:Lol. Thank you so much for the prayers. The goal of we at Insidify.com is to enthrone productivity in Nigeria and Africa, I was only being true to that mission when I posted this. You are very welcome and thanks for following. I have also done same. |
BICE:Well, that depends on what you mean by 'outspoken.' If you mean that the person needs to be the happy-go-lucky type before he is able to put these questions to use, then no. Virtually anyone can put the questions to use, outspoken or not. Thanks for your comments. |
Cutehector4u:It is not important to include hobbies. But if you have to, that section should be labelled 'Interests' and not 'Hobbies.' |
Thank God it's Friday! Because we are passionate about your productivity and success, here are CV crafting tips for you. Be sure not to 1. Get too personal If the job description did not request you to put some personal information such as your birth details, photograph, religion, sexual orientation and political affiliation. 2. Include spelling errors and poor grammar Around 50% of CVs that are received by recruiters contain spelling or grammatical errors. Do not let the recruiter read “Dear Sir or Madman”. It is good to have a friend to proofread your resume before you send it out. 3. Add irrelevant work experience Read the job description of the post you are applying for so you include only important work experience that will let your CV stand out and yet fit the position you want. 4. Show off hobbies or oddities 76% of CVs are ignored by recruiters if the email address was unprofessional. Avoid using such email addresses such as sexybabe4luv@yahoo.com etc. Your future employers are not interested if you have ten different hobbies either. 5. Be negative It is important to use positive language in your CV. Replace negative phrases with positive ones. Need any more help in professionally crafting your CV? Let us know in the comments section below. #Insidify |
