What's really inside the tax bill? Nigeria should wake up cos Tinubu cannot be trusted. It's not about the North, it's about the general well-being of the country.
Go and read the tax bill. Educate yourself and get understanding. Not every bill is detrimental to the general well being of Nigerians.

Pls outline the steps
I got mine from Imota Rice Mills in Lagos. Paid 40k with my ATM CARDS, swiped it on a FG labeled POS machine.

Provided my NIN, waited for about 2 weeks for verification by EFCC (even though was wondering why EFFC should be involved in this kind of thing when the bigger thieves are walking freely) before I was given the green light to carry my rice.

Arranged for a transport company to bring it of course for a token.

So how do we apply? These people here are telling us to bring 200k for prepaid meter angry

Everything FG seems to be propaganda, the 40k rice still being talked about almost 6 months after, unserious people

I bought my 40k Rice last month. The fact that you haven't gotten yours doesn't mean it's propaganda. Do you due diligence before coming online to dish out your own personal propaganda.

What is this one saying?

Is Taiwo Oloyede not an expert in Tax matters?

The guy held me bound to my seat while I listened to him. He so brilliantly explained everything.

I recall in his explanation of the bill at NASS, he said the bill was jointly put together by tax experts from each of the 36 states of the federation, even professional associations, like LCC, ICAN, MAN, etcetera were involved.

So what else do these people want exactly?

NNPCL PRESS RELEASE

NNPC Ltd Reaffirms Progress on Port Harcourt Refinery and Addresses Misleading Claims

The Board and Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) express heartfelt appreciation to Nigerians for their support and excitement over the safe and successful restart of the 60,000 barrels-per-day Old Port Harcourt Refinery. This achievement marks a significant step forward after years of operational challenges and underperformance.

We are, however, aware of unfounded claims by certain individuals suggesting that the refinery is not producing products. For clarity, the Old Port Harcourt Refinery is currently operating at 70% of its installed capacity, with plans to ramp up to 90%. The refinery is producing the following daily outputs:

Straight-Run Gasoline (Naphtha): Blended into 1.4 million liters of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS or petrol)

Kerosene: 900,000 liters

Automotive Gas Oil (AGO or Diesel): 1.5 million liters

Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO): 2.1 million liters

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG): Additional volumes

It is worth noting that the refinery incorporates crack C5, a blending component from our sister company, Indorama Petrochemicals (formerly Eleme Petrochemicals), to produce gasoline that meets required specifications. Blending is a standard practice in refineries globally, as no single unit can produce gasoline that fully complies with any country’s standards without such processes.

Additionally, we have made substantial progress on the new Port Harcourt Refinery, which will begin operations soon without prior announcements.

We urge Nigerians to focus on the remarkable achievements being realized under the able and progressive leadership of President Bola Tinubu and to support efforts aimed at delivering more dividends to the nation. Malicious attacks on clear progress only undermine the significant strides made by NNPC Ltd and the country.

Let us move forward together in building a stronger and more self-sufficient energy sector.

Chief Corporate Communications Officer
NNPC Ltd

Tinubu2027Agend:
Ignoramus.

The US and Saudi you always refer to, even though they have so many refineries, they still import to ensure availability.

What we should do is to reduce our import significantly. Infact, we should not even care since it is now market driven.

So if local production is cheaper, I go for it. If imported one is cheaper, I go for it. That way we have options.

Oya say another thing.
The USA Yes! They import more of crude and not refined products.

Saudi? With the success of Aramco? I doubt it. Saudi with the size and value of their foreign reserves have the financial muscles to import anything they want, can you say the same for Nigeria??

Our forex reserve is 40billion dollars, which is gross, remove all the financial organizations we are owing, what is left?

Incase of next time, learn to engage in conversation constructively without insults. Calling me ignoramus is too low of you. Don't you think?

There are two refineries in the Portharcour refinery complex. This is the old one, the new one will come on stream next year. According to them of course.

Can we officially stop importation now? Shebi they said Dangote can't meet local demand hence the reason why they must import.

with this new development, can we all agree that local demand for refined products is taken care of and then marketers should be directed to stop importation.

These guys really wants to deal with Dangoté and his massive refinery investment since the greedy man doesn't want to play ball with them.
They will use P.H and Kaduna refinery to mess his own up.

Dangoté is greedy, so whatever he sees from them let him take, we sane Nigerians will not involve ourselves in their fight.
Including the corrupt cesspit called NNPCL cabals who manipulate local crude prices.

How can a local refinery sourcing crude locally be selling petrol at such expensive price...?
That's why I have been saying this to those people screaming monopoly this, monopoly that, you don't tell a private business man to bring down his price of petrol just by mere words as if you dashed him money to build it, you do it by getting other refineries working.

I believe he may have been informed of this development long before now hence the reduction of his fuel price from 990 to 970 naira.

The important thing is he should do well whether he's liked or not.
What would you have me say to an unhappy citizen of Nigeria? Should I have told him or her to match to Aso rock and shoot the president?

We are running a Nigerian version of democracy, one way to remove a president at least in this Nigerian version of democracy is through elections. The second way is by revolution, who wants to lay down his life for a revolution to take place?

Nothing has been done without the price of fuel dropping. That's what controls everything.
Whichever way you want to look at it, it's a progress we have all been clamouring for, for all our refineries to work.

I know it's nothing to you because of misgovernance of successive administration and betrayal of citizens trust by this government especially but in as much we want to always criticize the government, let's also appreciate little little wins here and there.

I didn't vote for Tinubu during the election and I am not his follower but I am happy with this news if it's true, by the time all four refineries starts production and other modular refineries in different locations across the country, the problem of inadequate supply would be solved, competition would set in, forcing down prices.

I know the man is messing up but there's nothing anyone can do but to wait till 2027 to vote him out.
