Have you watched Broadchurch? Try deciphering DI Hardy's garbs without subtitles, and I will doff my hat to you. He speaks in a very thick Edinburgh accent, and that's one of the more pleasant Scottish accents.

Jamie Fraser on outlander has a Scottish accent and i have never used subtitles for the show.
This particular show had me rewinding alot, some slangs said with the accent sounded like an entirely new language.
