Phones / Re: Easiest Way To Delete A Virus/malware From Your Android Phone by invisibility: 8:08pm On Nov 10, 2015
teewhydope:
Without wasting much time cool
(1) go to settings>>>apps>>>running
(2)note the name of the malware
(3)...
(4) *your phone must be rooted* embarassed
(5) open es file explorer>>>option>>>tools>>>>enable "ROOT EXPLORER"
(6)...
(7)still inside es file explorer
(coolclick on the "/" sign on the top left corner, it'll take you to the root of your phone
(9)from there goto system/app/
(10)scroll till you see the virus name
(11) Delete it
(12) smiley

This is what i did when i mistakenly installed a virus from "9app", it made itself a system app and keep displaying "UNFORTUNATELY BLAH BLAH HAS STOPPED" every seconds rendering the phone almost useless. GOODLUCK

Check here for other helpful tips

Thanks for the very good info...... that is if it really works.

But how do you deal with viruses that hide themselves.

Two, how do you deal with such viruses on a non rooted phone. If you get a simple solution for a non rooted phone then I offer you an award.

Haba, which kind flawless victory be this? Mine uses 3hrs max without using it while charging. You have short circuit your battery that's why it took that long to charge. You will observe it stays on a particular % before it increases. Remove Your battery, plug the charger in like that without the battery in it. Then remove the charger and put in your battery back. And continue charging. It will charge normal and fast..

What does "short circuit" phone battery mean? I've never heard that term before since ever using mobile phone.

Please enlighten us more cos its extremely important.

Also how do you rectify this type of problem on a phone with non removable battery?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Valfrankie:
sorry sir, I'm not some sort of promoter for Gionee, but I think the max is 4hrs. Perhaps you were using the phone while it was charging, hence putting more pressure on the battery. But at 5hrs too, it's not that bad, haba bruh! hope you know it will take 20hrs+ (won't say 24 hrs, don't wanna exaggerate) of intense use to completely drain the battery. I watched movies online, downloaded apps, played games too with my battery percentage from 84-66%. I was pleasantly amazed! C'mon bruh, c'mon! Some phones will take like forever to charge and frustratingly drain within hours.

My bros, I hate exergeration deeply. I applaud the battery life of this phone and I'm using it to type now. On a heavy use of the type you described this phone battery can never never last more than 14 hours max. Thats if it even exceeds 12 hours. I can bet money if it can last up to 20 hours.

5 hours to charge a phone for me is very very very very frustrating. I also hate the fact that the Chinese marketer lied that it takes 2 hours to charge full. At least 2 people have confirmed with me that it takes far above that.

In all I still like the phone and the best for me being the system manager in built on the phone with auto start freeze, process white list and network data connection disable option for each app.

Another regret I have is that it hangs sometimes and closes my browser atimes in multitasking flaw.

All in all l enjoy the phone despite the few shortfalls. We can't expect perfection from a 16k phone.

It's a good phone bro. infinix only wins on battery. This is a 4G enabled phone and the emphasis is on camera

Don't be decieved, Gionee M3 mini is only N16,500 and yet its a 4G phone with a 4000mah battery.

How many hours does it take to charge?

Thats one of the downside. It takes a frustrating 5 hours to charge with its own charger. One of the Chinese marketers on this forum lied that it takes 2 hours to charge.

When we're all busy celebrating the "hyper selfishness" of celebrities and rich Nigerians that got their money either selling nude depravity on TV or looting the treasury.

Awards and accolades and titles and even more gifts for the super rich and nobody cares to ask them what they are doing or can do that'll be beneficial to the poor masses.

Its always a case of someone that buys the latest N100 million range Rover and it makes headline as an achievement and nobody cares that a fraction of that money will feed a hungry community of the poor and impoverished for months.

Just listen to yourself.

I heard myself alright. For me its a deep sigh of relief from the era of looting and plundering the treasury.

There has never arisen any Nigerian leader of integrity that has been able to withstand the temptation of stealing.

So at a time we have one we can trust will rule without corruption, for me, I'm satisfied

The only idea I had of what a Catholic church is supposed to be like, is the one I got from Chimanmanda Ngozi Adichie's ‘Purple Hibiscus', where the main character's father was a religious fanatic and sneered at the new Igbo catechist that gave a sermon about giving and cements. Apparently, that wasn't ‘real' Catholic preaching by Eugene's standards. This Sunday however, I got the opportunity to witness it all for myself when I followed my mum to a thanksgiving/ harvest service at st Ambrose Catholic Church, Ekpan (Delta state).
Being a Pentecostal, we have this normal trend of criticizing other domains of Christianity, the Jehovah's witness topping the list, followed by the celestial Church of Christ (popularly known as cele), Catholics and even other fellow Pentecostals. Yeah, we are just so comfortable and good at judging other churches.

Yea! And you never saw Catholics and the rest judging and condemning Pentecostals ba?

You love the statues of Jesus and Mary in a church and yet you're Pentecostal. E don tey wey you read exudos 20:4.

Anyway not my business.... whatever rocks your boat.

But it'll have 4G LTE and lollipop and surely a 5000mAh battery

hi guys, just noticed that tecno boom j7 which supposedly an android phone is not really an android phone, the OS installed on the phone is simply what i will call android os clone which can also perform similar functions as the Google's android o.s. I noticed this when i was trying to backup my stock ROM of my boom j7 to my pc, during the process the tool used in backing up the ROM needed to access the boom j7 via android adb usb interface but it could not , at first i could not figure out why till i click on device manager to see what usb interface is boom j7 using, surprisingly i saw this YUNOSphone and in the drop down menu it displays yunos acb interface instead of android adb interface well i had to find out what it meant.....headed straight to Google and through wikipedia i was made to understand the origin of the OS

bottom line

Not trying to discourage anyone from using this phone(boom 7)
neither am i saying this to tarnish the name of the OEM
in fact is my current phone and i love it

But just wanted make known the limitations of this O.S
1. no update/upgrade to latest version of android will eventually come out
2. some 4.4 android apps will not work no matter what
3. some tweak that comes for rooted Google's android os might not work even when ur device is rooted
*maybe you don't believe me, connect your phone in media transfer mode and check your device manager
screen shots below:

I hope this doesn't mean they'll have access to the uses contacts, messages, photos, passwords and other private info.

I subscribed to the MTN #500 for 500mb data plan and experienced the same data wiped problem. I tried using it yesterday, and it is browsing well and fast again.

To check your data balance dial*567*3*3*2*3# or dial the usual code of*567*3*3# for subscription, and select option '2' send and option '3' to check balance.
Using other known data balance code like *559# , *123*9# or other bbm code will show 0mb balance.

Mod take note.

Op don't insist on what you aren't sure about.

Our data was wiped and browsing effectively terminated without warning after few days of subscribing to that plan before they had to wipe it few days afterwards.

They even sent SMS to confirm I've subscribed to a 30 day 500mb plan.

Besides your *567*3*3*2*3# code still showed 0mb.

See screen shots to confirm.

It's thick and quite heavy
152 x 76 x 8.5 mm (5.98 x 2.99 x 0.33 in)
Weight 213 g (7.51 oz)

The camera is exceptional
13 MP, 4128 x 3096 pixels, autofocus, LED flash

Tickness and heaviness doesn't matter as long as a phone has "super optimum" battery performance. You can't just rule out the heaviness/thickness if a very very good battery is in the mix.

Whoever doesnt like the thickness should opt for Gionee "E" series that come with premium functions along with very slim and light body.

Of course "mega battery" shouldn't be expected in that case even though the battery backup is still good.

Stop talking ignorantly. There is no jet in russian amoury that america and other powerful nations does not know about. This is the 21st century.
Btw, the production of the jet was off the books to prevent soviet forces from developing counter-measures as was the practise then.
Yes, i know the west hypes its products, but many of those products are well-worth the hype.
There is nothing close to the sophistication of the B-2 bomber anywhere else in the world.

Thanks Mr know it all. Since we are all "ignorant" before you then discuss with yourself alone.

America's biggest failure and last undoing is constantly exposing their military secrets in full glare of the enemy without knowing what the enemy has in stock.

States like Russia keep mute even when they have better sophistry and only deliver surprises on the battle field like they are presently flexing and outdoing America in Syria while the later recoils in cowardice.

Besides most military hardware America builds with billions Russia and China replicates with a fraction of that money and with added efficiency. Who new China could showcase a sleath figher that costs far Cheaper than anyone could imagine.

I fear for America and their unnecessary hype.
