Properties / Re: Current Prices Of Building Materials In Nigeria by IOAGEM: 5:52pm On Dec 31, 2019
I am sending a guy to fix about 500Lnm of kerbs in Osun state and his giving a bill of 1500/Lnm just workmanship for production and laying because all other materials needed except for mould is already at the site.
Is this price fair enough because all he needs is just the moulds and labour.

Business / Who Supplies And Install Cement Fibre Boards by IOAGEM: 4:06pm On Sep 22, 2019
A site in Osun state requires cement fibre boards to be use as ceiling finish. We have asked around in the state capital and nothing is encouraging. If you are familiar and work with the material kindly make a contact.

Also needed is an expert for Aluminium framed Louvre grille (standard finish for the product RAL10130) for wastewater pipe ducts.

Genuine referrals are welcomed.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What Graduates Don't Know About N-power Program by IOAGEM: 10:20am On Jun 14, 2016
@Op I am not disputing your claims, prospective applicants would be scared with your revelations considering the nigerian factor, I have read that the program will be lasting for just 2yrs and participants are expected to look for permanent job before they are disengaged. With this their shoudnt have been a problem but the nigerian factor as I said earlier, who will listen to you to delist you from the program if you eventually get a work with the FG, with the IPPS u can have 1 bvn drawing 2 salary at a time.

Politics / Re: FG Releases 7,000 Outstanding Petrol Loading Tickets Of Independent Marketers by IOAGEM: 8:50pm On Apr 10, 2016
Fuel Scarcity Conundrum: Mistakes of Yesteryears -
1.Saudi Arabia with a population of 26m has 16 functional refineries, to commission another 2 of 400,000 barrel each per day capacity in 2016
2. The U.S State of California alone has 26, Texas has 19 refineries
3. Whereas Singapore with a population of 5.6million people has 3 refineries with combine refining capacity 1.3m bp/d;
4. Nigeria has 3 or 4 (non functional refineries) built in the 70s & early 80s...now obsolete...16 years of oil boom we didn't add even ONE.
5. We did not invest in our downstream sector, but handed out importation licenses to cronies & acolytes. Today we are paying the price
6. We are paying the price of our past profligacy, irresponsibility in governance and blind leadership.
8. For instance, Egbin power plant was valued at $1.2 billion. A German electricity company bidded but GEJ sold it to Sahara Energy at $470m.
9. Sahara had no previous records on power plant aside importation of petrol but we handed them our LARGEST thermal plant..
10. Easier to cry today but whatever problems we see today was created yesterday with the active connivance of all of us...
11. Active connivance in the sense that we all kept quiet & looked away... Our day just dey break?
12. I am not exonerating the FG of blame, but laying the facts as they are... While you have the right to be angry, pls be angry with sense.
13. Change will come but it will not come overnight... A lot of mess was made either out of omission or commission, change will take a while
14. I am laying these facts out and I challenge anybody with contrary facts to bring it.
15. I am doing this because I feel the pain and agony we are going thru and I feel the collective hurt but we must understand why we are here.
16. I pray that the present FG will have the courage and conviction to right so many of the ills of the past. Our future depends on it.
17. May Nigeria be great again & may our collective suffering spur us to a greater sense of true nationhood. Nigeria shall rise again!!!
God bless us!

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Conversation Between A Boss And A Polytechnic Graduate by IOAGEM: 12:34pm On Mar 13, 2016
@OP kudos to ur bro for his achievements so far,I can understand where u are coming from, once u are a graduate irrespective of whether u studied zoology efik or Tiv Language,u should be able to manage an office such as the presidency or whatever, however I still repeat ur bro a graduate of QS challenging all Nigerian structural engineers and architect to a contest and emerging the winner, impossible it is,isn't that what u wrote earlier ? Try research the wisdom behind why it is B.ed and not B.sc as the case maybe in tertiary institutions.
The liberalization as far as applications of knowledge is concern is unlimited, that is why ur bro might perform better in that aspect than a" backgroundanist" . The reason why their are many failures around is because ppl can't figure out their purpose in life, what is my hidden talent? That is a question bfr chosen a career path, let me give u a bit of hope by saying I will do ur bidding assuming u were also a QS and had followed same path as ur bro, will u be as sucessful as he his, that is why I said liberalization as far as knowledge application is concerned is dynamic, if I should agree with u that ppl like me at the teaching service commission or whatever blv that it should rather be B.ed nd that a person with bsc wouldn't do well teaching , then the question u should ask your self my bro is that since u know u will end up at the Teaching commission looking for a teacher's work, why go for B.sc and not B.ed thus putting urself at a disadvantage.
Lastly in a sane country ur bro cannot produce and vet a structural design unless certified as one.
Before I go, what makes a physician a neurologist? it is by further training and while the later claims to be the former the former cannot claim to be the later.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Help With Job After 1020 Applications by IOAGEM: 10:13am On Mar 13, 2016
Don't give up with ur age experience and knowledge,it is either u find the work or work finds u. In d meantime search and follow "Debbie" a fellow NLander she posts a lot of vacancies that suits your profile.
On the other hand I suggest u remove 1 or 2 unnecessary details on ur CV to give it that cutting edge.(for ex. U don't need to tell us u formulate exam questions and soon on a CV bla bla .)
1020 whooping applications is something u wouldn't wish for anybody kai shouldn't u be on Guinness book of records.(just kidding).
All d best.

Next target is N400 - N500.

CBN move is unsustainable. The FG does not have enough reserves to prop up naira. This is a temporary relief.

Nigeria's foreign reserves is about $29bn. Russia had about $400b and used $76b to prop up the rubble in 2014. Yet the rubble fell to all times low after all the efforts.

The prayer should be that the George Soros of this world will stay away from the naira saga. George Soros? Yes! The man that broke the Bank of England by trading against the British pound until the fat lady sang. In 1992, he sat on pound sterling and made $1b from the heist.

Wow George Soro indeed; You scared me bro , I was going to say "tell me more" when I saw your name however Invertedhammer I started laffing ,how would an invertedhammed look like in real sense and what can we use an inverted hammer for ? Lmao
Politics / Re: FG Removes 23,846 Ghost Workers From Government Payroll by IOAGEM: 10:36am On Feb 29, 2016
"He said the federal government was also
pursuing the recovery of salary balances in
bank accounts as well as any pension
contributions in respect of the workers whose
names have since been removed from the
payrolls."

Finally someone is paying attention to details. In the past nobody will even think along this line that some pension would also have accrued with respect to the ghost names either due to ignorance or deliberately.
Either it is GEJ or PMB's policy it doesn't really matter all I can see is a govt in continuum,I want to blv the headroom would provide employment for those who need the job .
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Conversation Between A Boss And A Polytechnic Graduate by IOAGEM: 9:57am On Feb 28, 2016
Just because your brother is making it going out of his line of study doesn't make him better than an architect or/and a structural engineer,it is understable how a qs could be farmiliar with structural terms because when taken off you summarize from sub-structure to the roof top,ask your brother which is better in a structure under-reinforcement or over-reinforcement,also ask him how will he check for servicerbility limit state of crack and fire. Also ask him to tell us the safest load combinations for a proposed bridge in a windy and snowy enviroment like Tokyo.
Are u sure your so called bro isn't among the team that designed TB Joshua synagogue,if we must curb the seemingly increasing cases of biulding collapse then people like ur bro need to be careful. Every structural engineer let me tell u was taught how to quantify any work infact you can't produce a boq without it and u can't raise a certificate without it but they would not go about bragging they are better than QS if they do then our folks in that major go enter soup because we know it and we know it very well.
