I have much more than that but I will not, NEVER. I will miss ordering from Amazon, hearing much less honking on the roads, not having a speed dial police number, having a stable job, fewer dust on the streets, more polite people, fewer places to run to and have a quick number 1 and all that Every country has their issues but Nigeria issues are too basic and frustrating for the average person who has lived abroad so it's a No No |

Lamanii22:Sorry, may I ask why you want to know? This thread is not about why I am ending the marriage. |
Realashbobby:No kid(s) involved. It's also hard when you invested much and have to start all over again esp when you are not getting younger. Wish you strength as you go through yours |
mariahAngel:Kim lives in CA where adultery is not illegal. Every state has its own laws As of 2017, the US states with laws against adultery are Arizona, Florida, Kansas, Illinois, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Idaho, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Utah (of course), New York, Mississippi, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Maryland. |
crackhaus:I live in the US, divorce settlements can get complicated if there is infidelity involved |
crackhaus:You have a point but I'd rather do it the right way at least for respect and reputation sake because its marriage not singles relationship |

advanceDNA:Thanks for your advise. No violence no infidelity but it may lead to infidelity if we continue like this and neither of us wants that. I know divorce doesn't sound exciting but I think we all deserve to be happy, if that makes sense. |
This is one of a series of threads I'll be creating to learn from your personal experiences I may end my marriage and put myself back out there soon. Emotionally checked out. When you ended your last relationship, how long did it take you before going back on a dating website or making your superman moves on a woman? |
Ishilove:Maybe you could share your research, but many doctors actually recommend masturbation as a way to help with premature ejaculation. Check out these two articles: US National Library of Medicine: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6859670/ Mayo Clinic: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/premature-ejaculation/symptoms-causes/syc-20354900 Notice the Mayo Clinic or the NCBI does not list premature ejaculation as a consequence of masturbation On the issue of low self esteem, studies actually show premature ejaculation help to improve self esteem. Check out this article by the Planned parenthood: https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/sex-pleasure-and-sexual-dysfunction/masturbation/masturbation-healthy Just to be clear, I am not personally advocating for or condemning masturbation, just stating facts. |
Ishilove:Depends on the lens you're looking from. Religious people and doctrines have their views while health professionals have theirs as well. Some studies suggest masturbation offers mental health benefits. Also, if it prevents men from seeing women as sex objects who's job is to satisfy their sexual urge, prevents men from lying to women about their feelings in order to get them to bed, prevent various forms of rape, prevent men from marrying for the wrong reasons (like only sexual satisfaction), and prevent married men from being unfaithful, do you think a society that encourages it is so much out of place? |
PrimadonnaO:Not entirely true. Come to the states and see many single men and women in their 40s who are single by choice or because they were focused on their careers |
Ishilove:lmao males are expected to be masturbators in the states o. Many women see it as strange if a man doesn't masturbate, they won't believe you |
OP other than the typos, you nailed this post with a good degree of precision. I have to admit I am one of those thinking about coming back to marry a Nigerian woman because of food, culture and language. Some people tell me its not worth it but a stubborn part me still hopes to find her. Apart from the food, culture and language i stated above which are important to me, I think oyibo beat Nigerian women hands down |

mariahAngel:Seriously he felt entitled to my money |
A friend decided to buy a laptop from the US so he asked me to help him buy and ship to him in Nigeria. He would then wire the money back to me. At first i asked why he could not buy it from Nigeria and he said they sold fakes there. That sounded strange because I assume there are reputable stores there in Nigeria, but anyway I order the laptop from Amazon, it arrives, I go to the courier to ship it because he preferred Fedex and not the cheaper shipping options available. The cost to ship was about $500. Guess what? He told me he didn't budget for shipping and thought I would help him do that. He was telling me this at the point of shipping. What made this an unpleasant surprise was that I informed him right from start to add about $500 shipping cost to the cost of the laptop and compare that with the cost of the same laptop in Nigeria and he said he was fine with that. I returned the laptop and got my full refund from Amazon. |
