I used finger brush with water until Bee got to a year old. I just made sure I did it frequently, his mouth never had odour.
Gently wipe all corners of his mouth, then the tongue. Got the finger brush 3h at that time, don't know how much it is now.

There are baby toothpastes sha for 0-2years, just didn't feel comfy using them for him.

Hmmm, my people, my cousin no let me be oo, that I must accpt her daughter back, begging and even calling people to beg on her behalf.

I can't even go to my hubby to ask for her to return, he will so get angry with me. Even me I can't stand her again, girl that scaled the fence? I asked what if she repeat the same again, and she said she won't try it again. She said it's devil's work. That she don't know when she did all that.

One thing I hate is not taking responsibility for actions, all the while even her mum never blamed her actions, she keeps saying it's the enemies that don't want her life to be better that caused it. Haba!

Perhaps you can try giving her smaller quantities, since she looses interest or make the food out of small bits of different things to introduce variety . Also try and introduce some finger foods to the mix to encourage engagement.

For example::

Have a bit of sliced steamed carrots, cut up bread/toast, some avocado and a boiled egg. You can mash quarter/half avocado and half egg, and slice up the remaining egg.
After a few spoons of avocado puree, if she appears to be loosing interest put the carrot, egg or toast in her hand for her to feed her self and keep alternating it like that. and see if introduction of variety and engagement will work.

You know we naija people can like to have one big bowl of something as food. but unfortunately it doesnt always work for babies

I dont think there is. But think there is a reccommended amount. If you check the can of aptamil or other milk, they usually give an amount, but i think this is based on the vitamin contents in each milk fred so that the baby can reach the recommended daily allowance.

The thing is once they have started solids, they usually get fuller so there is no great apertite for milk. Especially immediately after a meal.

Once you have established 3 solid meals a day, you can use the milk to supplement as "snack" at other times inbetween meals. She may take it better then.

Just save your money and extend the life of your formular. give her the small quantity that she will finish. If she needs more, you can always make a bit to top up.

Mothers, am still finding it difficult to wean my kids. All methods applied has failed. Dem no gree take water at night, it must be breast. Same during the day. They are 14 months plus. I don tire. Am waiting till September for them start school, can I really cope till then?

Good evening Mothers and Fathers in the house.
I want to know if Golden Morn is healthy for a one year old baby? We just introduced the cereal to my one year old boy and he seems to like it, we sought this alternative when he would cry and draw rain when been fed either pap or his regular milk:Cerelac(Mixed fruits) and Lactogen, however he loves eating Golden Morn, he eats other adult solids as well. But lately someone said it is not healthy for a baby that young. Is it right for him at this tender age?
What other food(s) can we introduce to him that would help his growth and increase his intelligence. Thanks y'all.

For those battling with cold right now, this is what work for me....

Close all windows, no Ac, no fan, let the house be as warm as possible. Bath baby with warm water, massage mentholatum on baby's chest, nose, neck, back, and rib sides. Let baby be completely covered (i.e cap, socks sweater) so that their body can absorb the menthol. You can back them immediately after bath. And please bath every other day (2days) but always apply menthol.

You can also do steam inhalation but my baby hates this. He will be screaming as if the steam will kill him

Iomoge2 recipe (melted shea butter and salt) gives instant relief when the cough starts.

Finally be patient, you might cry a little but don't worry it's just the weather,cold is everywhere, except it is associated with high temperature consult your doctor. ds only coughs in the morning and it was very bad, he will be crying while coughing. We are free now sha.
