BIRTH STORY
Apology for the delay... its has been stressful but all thanks to God for giving us strength to carry on..... I wasnt home,i went to greet my uncle in law on Monday (26) cos i lost my brother in law,me and d wife went to Goza market (some abuja mamas can relate) in d market i felt a slight back pain but i packaged myself,wen we got home we started cooking, my legs were aching i tot is d market stress. After cooking i couldn't eat much so i took my bath and go straight to d bed,after 2hrs i strated feeling stomach pain very bad pain ooo,i ve never experienced that kind of stomach pain before in my life,hubby was still with his other relative in d living room,had to call him on fone so he rushed in i told abt the pain,he said we should start going home,i told him its last dat i will manage till morning,but d pain is much going and coming,couldnt pick my watch to tym it. my sister in law entered d room and saw me in pain she ran out to call their uncle,and d wife said this is labour pain,i was den i remember i was actually pregnant. we drove out of their estate around past eleven. .. Got to my hospital around 15mins to 12 with no bag no nothing, come and see yarbing from nurses we explain tire,no be myhouse i dry come from,them no gree, Thank God for one of doc on call,i was vomiting seriously too,he checked me in his office he said i didnt keep body well,i started screaming at d doc leave alone, na so d guy match me to delivery room say make i lie down,d pain was much i couldn't lie down,he encouraged me too so i managed,lo and behold he checked me and i was 8cm,i was screaming please help me,d doc said d contraction is strong dat he will have to rupture d memberne and d nurse should bring drip and oxtoxin,Omo... ! dat drip na die,e never reach 3mins for my hand,i started shouting i want to push after three pushes my princess Peniel EwaOluwa made her grand entrance at 12.03am on 27th June weighing 3.3kg,had little tear cos dat drip no make me keep body. Our God is ever faithful before my hubby could bring my bag i already gave birth cos i only spend 17 mins in d hospital before i gave birth. Wishing the remaining mamas safe delivery. Vigilante is very very real.

Dh was initially disturbed because of the present financial status, na God gives me na Him go provide. I can't come and have depression over God's blessings that money cannot buy.
Abeg mama that took in less than six months after delivery, how did you cope with the
(1) questioning look from people
(2) nursing a little baby with pregnancy (I got nobody with me & my baby, can cry for Africa & always clinging to me)
(3) what type of food would you recommend for my baby. She's 7+months now. Exclusively breastf
ed for 5months.
I gotta rock my bump with pride, people who thought it's too early should pray to TTC too.

So I've been hearing a lot about this app called MAXGo and i thought i'd give it a shot. The app which is similar to Uber, Taxify and Oga taxi but For PowerBikes, allows you request a power bike to come pick you up and drop you off at your location. Unlike Uber though, the riders are trained and certified by MAXGo. I was initially skeptical about it, but after i was stuck in traffic around law school in V.I, i just thought i should give it a try.

Besides you get some money in your app wallet when you download the app, so your first ride is practically free.

I was pleasantly surprised at how effective the app was and the ride was actually cheaper than Okada, plus it's a Powerbike and i also got a helmet which is something i have always wanted with Bikes.

I got to work in Lekki in less than 15 minutes (thank GOD cos i may just have been fired if not) and the rider was very nice and pleasant. All in all, i was impressed.

Now where it gets interesting is these guys have a very mouth-watering referral system and if you get a couple of people to download and use your referral codes, your rides will be practically free. This is asides the 100 Naira they give to everyone on sign up.

Ok Mamas goodevening. Come help me out in this.

We have just started second semester last week with seminar topics already distributed. Baby is 8 weeks today. Please what is my best option. Start baby on formulae and be dropping him with MIL who lives close by. Buy baby carrier and be taking him along to classes. My classes are four times in a week; two courses on Friday 10-3pm.

I can't afford creche now and won't even consider it at his age.( if at all there are schools that take that age). Also, option of Nanny is out of it. The challenge with MIL is that she travels always especially Friday's to Monday's. Secondly, there are lots of people living in her house. Anytime baby goes there, that is how they transfer him from one hand to the other, from room to room, bed to bed, chair to chair( and they always read meaning to any caution,) My mum is managing her health so not available.

Please what option is the best? Thank u al

No need dropping him.

When he is bigger and d weight is killing.... u might consider that option.

XX01..I feel your pain..it pains me when innocent kids are maltreated.It is very rare to get a good and godly nanny/housemaid..No amount of love shown to them would stop them from been mean. Thank God your lo is getting better.

Please mamas help me o..My own has meet me..My dd just refused suckling breast all of a sudden..It started yesterday.. She normally feed every 2-3 hours but now its takes up to 4-5 hours before she feeds..Even if she's very hungry and i put her to breast she will turn her head and start crying.. She normally sucks her thumb. She has been at it for a month+ now, she's is 10wks. Nowadays even if she's hungry she won't cry she will just be suckling her thumb.. I usually detect she's hungry if the suckling of her thumb becomes vigorous. Through out today she fed only 4times. The fourth one this night was through a bottle. I had to express inside a bottle and fed her..Come and see the way she rushed it. I don't know if my tip is now bitter in her mouth..Am getting disturbed..

Her temperature is normal and she plays as usual..Just this refusal of suckling from breast that I don't understand again.. Please is there any mama that have gone through this?I have not heard of this before..

I stopped suckling too at 2months.
My baby too almost stopped sucking...

Its simple... just be expressing. Then give her d boobs just to have a feel. With time u wont need to express again and she will be used tosucking directly.

Express n give her.
Ur breast is not bitter... never ever.

Plus d sucking fingers... they like to suck it instead of food.

I also presume she doesnt suck when satisfied.
So the moment she is bringing hand to mouth. Stand up n feed her. Just slide hand out and slide bottle in.

Thats how i know my lady is hungry.

We have AC and fan but we don't use them because of him
He coughs more in the morning and evening. It's minimal in the afternoon
And we use very light curtains
He's actually teething now. One tooth is out and the second just sprouted
He's stooling too but I've been given ORS and zinc for that
I was using agnesia powder for him cos of rash (been using that powder since march). I stopped using the powder when he started coughing
I'll stop using perfumes too
I started using comfort fabric conditioner for his clothes last month. I've stopped using it too since the cough started

I'll give him the palm oil and sugar solution when he wakes up

Mamas in the house, when I am rested, I will share my experience over this weekend. Never suppress you or your partner's gut instinct. It can make a difference for your baby. I had a similar experience like Iomoge2. I thank God that mine has ended in praise.

I'm tired of giving my son antibiotics. It's getting too much. The cough is just getting worse and his nose is blocked. Now I'm a regular at the hospital. Presently I dress him up in doubles! Just to keep him warm. I even closed my windows in the parlor. Yet the boy is sweating but the cough and cold still de worry am

Use AC? Fan? - you need to have them cleaned esp AC vent.
When does he cough more?

My girl can cough 4 Africa. Until i knew through d doctors that dust is the trigger... then cleaned. Removed rug. Painted... wash wash wash.... light curtain.

Then sh3 started again buy not like b4 and we realised every milestone/teeth is cough first...


Palm oil n Sugar
1 cube st luios sugar
And sizeable palm oil.
Crush the sugar in d palm oil in a small cup.
Give him a spoon(tsp) every 2 hours or as soon as the cough is coming....

Another i do is Ori n a pinch of salt.
Melt ori n d pinch of salt in a metal spoon.
That is put d spoon over fire.
Then pour the melted oil n salt into a plastic spoon and blow till cool. U can use ur finger to checkbor ur tongue.... then give ur baby.
Let him swallow it.
Its relieve is instant. Give as often as needed.
Then find d root cause of the cough...
It could even be perfume...or powder.
Just watch closely.

Put near her nostrils. Say a drop on bib or pillow let her breath it in. Then suck out d mucor.
Or do steam inhalation... then suck. It works faster.
You and baby should stay covered while hubby helps with the covering n moving or removing d hot water bucket....

Call me evil but it is something i can do? Ah what of the children you will say? Na only me born them? Deep down he loves them, They will be fine.

Just because mrs A is doing something easily doesnt mean that mrs b should be able to do it. How will he feel if you are constantly comparing him to his friends... if mr. A buys range rover for his wife, should mr b also be expected to do the same. It is very unfair for a spouse to be comparing their other half to another person.

On a less dramatic scale, ask him to take you to the hospital for examimation of your cs scars. Maybe if the doctor mentions to him for you to take things easy, he will see that no be forming.

Also find sometime when you are both in love wantintin mode and mention how you feel to him and that you are struggling. If the person he is comparing you to has help, or only one kid or contracting some form of househeeping or cooking let him know.

There may be other factors at play that he may be unleashing other frustrations on you unfairly.

U may even need paracetamol
You will leave d bre.st milk to fill till ur brain know no need again and stops producing the milk.

Y9u can put cold cabbage around your boins in d bra to help with d pain.

Cough made us see a specialist o. It was that serious.
They said children shouldn't be given cough syrup.
That cough syrup is to gather the phlegm to enable us spit it outbut children will swallow making dder stomach congested.

Infact ehn..... just try home rememdy.

In my case we had to remove the rug too....
