Total E & P Nigeria Limited (TEPNG) is a leading Oil and Gas exploration and production Company and a subsidiary of the Total Group. The company is in a growth phase, and as part of its expansion activities, welcomes applications from suitably qualified Nigerians for its Oil & Gas Production Operations Training Scheme facilitated by a Training Company. During the training programme participants will be on a Training Contract and on successful completion of the training programme would be considered for the usual recruitment process leading to employment in TEPNG.

Profile:

* Graduate degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Process, Petroluem) - Required

* Chartered or PE status - Desired but not required

* Not less than five (5) years field experience in gas quality measurement and analysis

* Thorough understanding of gas chromatography technology (TCD, FID, etc)

* Detailed and documented experience with industrial GCs (Daniel, Siemens, HP, etc)

* Conversant with applicable standards and codes (ISO, AGA, API)

* Conversant with uncertainty calculations for gas quality measurement


Duties:

1) Develop a maintenance program for the COMPANY's range of gas chromatograph equipment to prevent equipment breakdowns.

2) Lead implentation of developed program to ensure reliability and availability of GCs

3) Lead performance evaluation of GCs according to international standards

4) Carry out uncertainty calculations to ensure gas analysis results are still within contractual tolerances

5) Lead internal and external audits of the entire change of the gas quality measurement system (from the probe to the final data)

6) Give advise and support to the rest of the measurement team on other aspects of gas measurement (Quantity)

7) Give support to process department for process modifications for improvement in gas quality measurement

Mentoring and guidance to junior engineers in gas quality measurement

I want to store pdfs in a Database

i've attached a description of the table. how exactly do i insert the pdf into the DB. all the texts i've read refer to BLOBs as the means by which such info is inserted.

I actually was talking about the pdf's blob size in the DB being 88bytes while the pdf in my filesystem is 34.8mb. i actually expected that both of them be the same size. Pardon me i've only been toying around with varchars and integers.Appreciate the help

i redid the INSERT this time it worked. One thing though, the file size in the DB (88 bytes)is different from the file size in my filesystem(34mb). I don't know if this is wrong.Thanks for all the help anyways.
