Pioneer seeds unlike others are not sold in kg but per area (Acre and Hectare packs). The seeding rate is measured at 1 seed per hole at a spacing of 20cm between crops and 75cm between rows. This should give 55,000 seeds in a 1 Hectare pack.

We are introducing the 2kg pack into this market this year as well. Last year the price was #37,000 per Hectare pack. It will be revised lower this year but the stated price is what we are running with. Acre packs are #16,000.

Sir,I am actually not going into partnership on this project but I will manage cultivation for any investor who is interested.I will personally cultivate 15acres,someone outside Nairaland will be picking 10acres and 2 other Nairaland has indicated interest in doing 2 acres each.A nairalander called me today that he will be coming around to check my factory and inspect the land by early December.My own commitment is to ensure the farm is well managed based on my outlay and I process the tubers in my factory upon maturity.

TME 419 matures between 10-12 months.We process an acre within 3 days.So depending on the size you are interested in, everything should be closed within 13months so we can replant again
