goverment has a good database of each induvidual enrol into ghana universities through NAB. and also has complete database of student who enjoy student loan through registration. You pay back base on the agreement you made with the govt. It can be immideatly you get a job or even before you complete your degree. All depends on your capacity. Payment is usally in form of installment plan. Or paying at once if you can. You provide two guarantor who paid regular tax. They will stand for you in case you run away. But if death occur the debt will be wipe off. Your name is likely to be published in the daily if you do not pay on time according to your plan. The body send several warning before doing it anyway.

Bursary is not a clever policy becuse it might not cover all your needs. Imagine a medical student receiving a bursary of 20k. What will he do with it.

Talking about dialectal difference, i speak hausa fluently and believe me, the hausa dialects of Niger republic are very very different from most in Nigeria to a large extent. Even in Nigeria, people from Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, e.t.c do not understand Sokoto people if they speak, unless Sokoto people switch to central hausa.

This is the same thing with Niger republic hausa being far more different. Just that due to the influence of Kano dialect in radios which the BBC, Radio france and others have helped to promote and through trade, most other hausas have learnt to speak Kano dialect.

I think the problem with yorubas is less contact btw those in Togo, Benin and those in Nigeria, compared to Hausas in Niger whom millions of them come to Nigeria and trade with Nigerians.

Those guys told me that there are many Sudanese of Nigerian (hausa) descent and i discovered it was true.
I really can't speak for Somalis, buh Ethiopians i think, yah. A cousin of mine schooled with and befriended loads of them and looking at the photos, i think some of them can pass for fulanis.

Fulanis are united and smart, yes, but they are also at a disadvantage from what i see.
So, no need to hype them.
Most fulanis in Nigeria are loosing their language and culture to hausa (becoming hausanized).
I also heard that in Mali, fulanis are loosing their language and culture to Bambara, likewise in Senegal where many fulanis have adopted wolof.
