Rashedat was really everywhere, she covered every grass in the midfield and she's very calm with the ball
Deltamani:

She was the worstest player in Midfield.. Thank God for Rasheedat Ajibade football sense

Why did they switch Nicole and Alozie positions ?
lovewins:

She's already out of position playing as a wing back. Now switching her from RB where's she getting accustomed to to a LB is just poor thinking.
Sports / Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 1:43am On Oct 25, 2023
I would love babajide and monday , oshoala on the bench because of her injury worries
Deltamani:
. With the Players we have right now and lack of DM they should just go for that 4-4-2 ( Ajibade and Payne in the Middle… then our pacy wingers on the Flanks ( Babajide and Co…)

Ajakaye can come in late in the game to use her pace to cause more havoc from the Flank..

Alozie and Efih as Full backs with Nicole Payne their Alternative..

Demehin and Akudo at CB
Sports / Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 1:03am On Oct 25, 2023
Ajibade or Efih can play there but if they get injury no replacement
Deltamani:

The best player for the DM position right now is between Rasheedat Ajibade and Peace Efih… a Double pivot of their two would not be bad… then Tony Payne in front of them..

Or they go with the old 4-4-2 Ajibade and Payne in the middle flanked by Babajide and Monday Gift with Oshoala and Kanu upfront..
Sports / Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 12:53am On Oct 25, 2023
I beg to differ that's only applicable to some positions on the pitch maybe like DMF to CM or DM to CB , RB to LB from CF to DMF after over 10 years is wild if you want to makeshift a striker it can only be 3 positions LW,RW and AMF
AkinDS:
FYI...that was in 2014. She was converted to a striker in 2016.
If you knew anything about football, once you've played a position at one of the highest levels with great success, it sticks with you.
Its called versatility.
That's why some of the greatest players are able to play multiple positions seamlessly. Talk about being clueless!
Sports / Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 12:45am On Oct 25, 2023
So you're telling me after oshoala exploit at 2014 u20 world cup as a striker she went back to play as defensive midfielder ? at 2014 AWCON oshoala led the line with oparanozie at 2015 world cup she formed the famous front with oparanozie and ordega ...did you start following super falcon in 2016 ?

The last time oshoala played as a defensive midfielders was 2012 that's like 11 years ago seems to me you're more clueless than the coaches
AkinDS:
Which begs the question...
Whose dumb decision was it to invite Onyenezide, who is an attacking midfielder, when the team doesn't have a single DM?
The team currently has Payne, Ajibade & Efih who are all AMs. Of what use is another AM when you don't have any DMs on the roster?
Wouldn't it have made more sense to invite the U20 girl (Chinye Kalu) as backup?
Just plain dumb!

At this rate, either Nicole Payne or Michelle Alozie or even Oshoala might have to play as DM. If those coaches had any modicum of intelligence, they would have Oshoala play as DM, since she was once a DM and fully understands the role.

Randy Waldrum will not be in charge of Super Falcons when Nigeria file out to face Ethiopia on Wednesday.

The University of Pittsburgh Panthers women’s head coach had already told the NFF that he will only be available for the second leg fixture scheduled to hold in Nigeria due to personal commitments in the United States.

His Nigerian assistants: Justin Madugu, Ann Chiejine and Auwal Makwalla who have worked closely with Waldrum in the last two years will manage the team on his absence.

Very lean squad but at least we still have Nnadozie and they should have called 2 more midfielders from the nigeria league
lovewins:

No experience at all in our backline and our midfield is lean without a proven DM. Defensively we are suspect and we have just one day to train.

I really do hope this doesn't come back to bite us.

Deltamani:
2024 Olympics Qualifier: 8 Officials, 6 Super Falcons Players Arrive In Addis Ababa

Six players and eight officials of the Super Falcons have arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The nine-time African champions departed the country for Addis Ababa, Ethiopian capital on Sunday, October 22, 2023, for the 2024 Olympics Qualifiers first leg against Ethiopia.

The six players joined 8 officials and two staff of the Nigeria Football Federation and left the shore of Nigeria from the country's capital.

The Nigeria Football Federation Head of Competition, Dayo Enebi revealed to www.bsnsports.com.ng in a chat on Monday afternoon that the Nigeria contingents have arrived in Addis Ababa.

"Six players, eight officials and two others who left Abuja on Sunday have arrived in Addis Ababa where other players will join them for the 2024 Olympics qualifier first leg game on Wednesday." He said.

Barcelona Femeni forward, Asisat Oshoala, Michelle Alozie, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and other invited Super Falcons stars are expected to arrive in Addis Ababa, latest today (Monday), ahead of their Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against Ethiopia on Wednesday.

The first leg of the second-round fixture in Addis Ababa is on Wednesday, 25th October, while the return leg in Abuja holds on Tuesday, 31st October.

It's hardly nobody fault most of the girls have a game on Saturday and sunday
lovewins:

Won't be surprised if we lose the first leg to Ethiopia cause it appears we are taking this game lightly. The last time the girls played together was at the world cup. Ethiopia won their round one game 10-0 aggregate and have been in camp since.

The game is scheduled to take place in 3 days and camp is yet to open. Assuming they all start traveling today it means they'll have maximum one day to prepare for the game. Now we are having last minute withdrawals. I know it's Ethiopia, but again it's women's football and we've seen too many surprises lately to take any game lightly.

Deltamani:
🚨PSG’s striker Tabitha Chawinga wonders why she hasn’t won CAF’s Women’s Player of the Year award despite her consistency over the past few years.

“I don’t know why l haven’t won. Maybe it is because I am from Malawi and the fact that our national team has not played in major competitions but l think l deserve it,” she told The Guardian.

* A land at Life Camp in Abuja.
