Politics › Re: Peter Obi Knocks Yoruba Leaders Over Silence On Current Economic Hardship by isan(m): 11:36am On Oct 31, 2025
Other activists from another ethnic group should also stand up and fight .....
aariwa:
Most of the fiery Yoruba leaders Nigeria knew for fighting human rights and injustice then were beneficiaries of Awolowo free education are now either in their 80s or 90s hence too tired for such fight anymore or are dead . The current ones are more interested in their pockets which is either selling lands or following pecuniary politics (cashtivism) . Those few brilliant ones have seen their voices drowned by ones chasing after money….but true true Awolowo did well for Yorubas with his free education to Yorubas from western Nigeria cocoa proceeds but if you say na lie compare that firebrand generation of Isreal Ransome Kuti family, Gani Fawehimi, Dare Babarinsa etc with what you are seeing today from that region. If that generation that benefited from Awolowo had done same for generation after it wouldn’t have been as bad as it is today

Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 8:02am On Oct 29, 2025
Government can't meddle with football officials
lovewins:
Not totally correct. Depends on what you're trying to achieve. As complicated as the Nigerian problem is, it's actually not difficult on paper to solve with the right people willing to do so.

Maybe I'll do a post outlining the ways this is possible later
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 7:31am On Oct 29, 2025
If you're really a football fan you'll know it's only FIFA that can charge them and not the government
Predator87:
Nigerian football is on a real decline. U17 Womens being spanked by Italy?, Falcons drawing 1-1 with Benin at home. U17 mens unable to qualify for U17 3 times in a row, U20 mens poor, Super Eagles WC qualification up in the air. If Nigeria was a civilized country, the likes of Pinnick, Gausau, Sanusi and Eguavoen would be fired/forced to resign and possibly be facing criminal charges.

Taiwo doing well is not part of the agenda
BascoVanVeli:
I saw u make a slick comment about Taiwo's performance yesterday but yet u have nothing to say when the real facts are on ground.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 5:03pm On Oct 25, 2025
You've been making unfounded allegations against NFF and magudu even though your precious imade never committed to Nigeria ... Spain is always her first choice

Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 10:40am On Oct 25, 2025
When you know any of the three players can win it , why did talk about politics?
yinkeys:
Lookman was the clear favourite who was featuring and performing for club and country
He was getting loads of minutes back then
Okoronkwo some can argue didnt get a lot of minutes like Ajibade did at AFCON
Chebbak was Moroccos engine @ WAFCON
The issue is there’s no clear favourite so it could swing anyway
Who are you sure will be crowned ?

For men it’s certain it’d be Hakimi grin
Even if Morocco don’t win Afcon
I don’t even know when the awards will take place
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 6:35pm On Oct 24, 2025
Ajibade is a winger
lovewins:
Playing her in a role she's proven a thousand times not to be best suited at also isn't helping.

I guess we need to shout it at the rooftops "Ajibade is not a midfielder".
