Tinubu Is A PLACE HOLDER For Shettima, The Earlier People Realize This The Better

Most of the people pushing Tinubu do not know there is an agenda just to install him by fire by force and when he is tired and sick before a year, Shettima will be sworn in as President and more terrorists like Kabiru Sokoto will be hiding in government house.

Even Yaradua was way stronger than Tinubu before he became president. Buhari was not this sickly.

Politics8 Reasonable Reasons To Elect Peter Obi by iSense247(op): 4:46pm On Aug 24, 2022
8 REASONABLE REASONS TO ELECT PETER OBI
1. Peter Obi Is Averse To Waste
At the root of the poor infrastructural development all over Nigeria is criminal wastefulness, corruption and inflated contracts. Road or rail projects that can be done with N2 billion are inflated to N20 billion. The consequences of this is that projects go on forever and funds that would have been used to do 4 or 5 projects are spent on just 1 project.

A very good example is the Lagos light rail project. It was conceptualized by Jakande in the early 80s but still remains uncompleted till date, even after 23 years of APC/Tinubu unbroken stranglehold of Lagos State.

2. The People's President
Of the 3 main candidates, only Peter Obi is banking on the power of the people to get elected. Tinubu and Atiku are relying/relied heavily on the support of the delegates (bought with dollars), governors, senators, house of representatives and other structures of their political party to get elected.

The consequences of this is clear. If Peter Obi is elected, naturally he will take decisions that will benefit the overwhelming majority of Nigerians who voted him to power.

Unlike the other candidates who if elected will spend reasonable public funds and time to reward the structures that got them elected.

3. A Visionary President
In 2023, we need a president who, while catering for the current generation and solving the myriads of the current problems, also plans for the future, our children and the unborn generation.

A president who realizes that Nigeria will still be existing in 100 and 200 years to come and sets aside some funds for the future and unborn generations.

That is what Peter Obi represents, as he demonstrated in Anambra by saving some money for the future.

We do not need people who believe we should consume everything today and let the future take care of itself.

4. He Is Vibrant And Energetic
With the plethora of problems plaguing Nigeria currently, we need a president that is relatively young, energetic and vibrant.

A president that has the physical and mental capacity to supervise the effective implementation of his programs and policies across all sectors simultaneously across the country.

A president with hands on approach on all the issues. That is what Peter Obi represents.

5. A Courageous President
We need a president who has the courage to take and implement critical decisions that can move Nigeria forward.

Peter Obi demonstrated great courage when he opted to be impeached as Anambra governor rather than deploy public funds to pacify the greedy lawmakers. It takes courage and conviction to take such risky personal political decision because the impeachment court case could have gone either way.

6. His Message Is Clear And Concise
His campaign message in all the media interviews has centered around reducing waste and moving Nigeria from consumption to production. This is very clear message that tackles the root cause of many of the problems bedeviling Nigeria today.

7. A President That Communicates To Nigerians
So far, of the 3 main candidates, only Peter Obi has granted to several live TV interviews. It shows he is a believer in the power of communication. He believes you and I have the right to know.

Atiku only managed to grant a recorded interview while Tinubu has not granted any at all.

This time around, we need a president that has the confidence to speak to Nigerians directly about his policies and challenges if any. Enough of deaf and dumb Presidents, hijacked by cabals in Aso Villa.

8. A Listening President
As governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi was always visiting schools, hospitals, etc to hear and feel the challenges. At some point, he gave his phone number to the school prefects to get direct feedbacks. This demonstrates that Peter Obi will be a listening president.

We don't need a president that will be hijacked by the Aso Rock cabal and only brought out once in 6 months to show proof of life.

In conclusion, 2023 presents another opportunity for you and I to choose a leader that will serve Nigeria and Nigerians in the next 4 to 8 years. For me, it is a very easy decision.

Dino Melaye Comes Under ‘Attack’ For Scoring Cheap Points With Peter Obi’s Statement At NBA Conference

Rachel Okporu
Former senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye has come under heavy criticism for being sarcastic with a statement of Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Naija News reports that Peter Obi during the NBA conference on Monday spoke on the need for Nigeria to have a well ‘articulated’ leadership to come out of the current economic challenges.

The word ‘Atikulated’ is used by supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Hence, Melaye shared the video on his official Twitter page, making a mockery of the former Governor of Anambra State.

He captioned the video: “Listen to Gov Obi who is obediently Atikulated in Lagos today. SDM”

This earned him backslashes from netizens.

@PhilipHassan9 wrote: “Why did you play the video halfway, play the failed Atiku’s speech let’s here now. Watch and listen to what our next president said”

@bujutourears wrote: “Have some shame sir. The word articulated is not the same as your atikulated when giving a speech. You just want to score cheap points.”

Peter Obi Finally Reacts To APC's Muslim-Muslim Ticket, Says “Nigeria Is in A Mess”

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has reacted to the religious and tribal position in the 2023 general elections.

The former governor of Anambra said character and competence would determine the poll and not religion and tribe.

The presidential hopeful posited that Nigeria got into its mess as a result of the accumulative effects of bad leadership in the past.

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has reacted to the growing debate on the same faith ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying competence will drive the 2023 general elections.

The former governor of Anambra state said the next year's poll would not be about religion but character and leadership competence, Vanguard reported.

The presidential hopeful said this on Monday, August 22, in Lagos at the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference (NBA-AGC).

Obi maintained that Nigeria’s challenges have gotten so bad that religion and tribe would not be determinant in the 2023 elections.

He said character and competence to deliver the country from its current woes would be voting factors.

“Nigeria is in a mess. We got here simply because of the accumulative effect of bad leadership. The coming election is not about tribe or religion but about character and competence. We need a bold transition from a highly secured state to a highly secured state.”
2023: Peter Obi drops fresh update on PVC, asks Obidients to go for “claims and objections”

Legit.ng earlier reported that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has urged his supporters to verify the details on the PVC at INEC offices this week.

The presidential hopeful maintained that the verification exercise would last for one week, and newly registered voters are expected to verify their details if everything is intact.

The ex-governor of Anambra state stated this via his verified Twitter on Wednesday, August 17, adding that the exercise is closing this week.

On his verified Twitter handle, @PeterObi, on Wednesday, August 17, Obi stated that the electoral body would commence the display of registered voters for claims and objections.

PoliticsNBA Conference: ’Shettima’s Suit Is Oversized’, APC Chieftain Admits by iSense247(op): 12:18pm On Aug 23, 2022
Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, has said that truly, the suit the vice-presidential candidate of his party wore to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA’s) annual general conference in Lagos State on Monday was “oversized”.

Meanwhile, Igbokwe praised the former Borno State governor as an “erudite scholar” and “a great achiever”.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Shettima, who represented the standard bearer of the APC, Bola Tinubu, was dressed in a black suit and red tie, accompanied by a pair of gym shoes, which has stirred reactions from social media users.

Igbokwe also has his say.

“The suit is oversized but it did remove anything from this erudite scholar in the best tradition, a great achiever with deep sense of history and determination to succeed in anything he lays his hands on,” he wrote on his known Facebook page on Monday.

Your lineage to the tenth generation cannot amount to one percent of H.E Peter Obi

Meanwhile Femi Fani Kayode

WHO ARE THESE OBIDIENTS?

Let me make this clear from the outset. I am a member of the APC and a supporter of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

This contribution does not in any way derogate from that and my analysis is more of an academic and intellectual exercise than anything else.

I am NOT a supporter of Peter Obi and I have NO intention of becoming one. I am however interested on what his supporters represent and stand for and that is the subject of this essay.

They are worthy of my attention only because their rise and relevance in the political configuration of our nation, just in a matter of weeks, is meteoric and phenomenal.

In order to counter and defeat them or to keep them in their place we must at least attempt to understand them and figure out how their minds work.

The following are my findings.

Those that are the supporters of Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, are known as 'Obidients' and they are EVERYWHERE.

Those of us in the larger political parties like the ruling APC and the opposition PDP, treat them with contempt and ignore them at our own peril.

The truth is that they are far more dangerous to our collective cause as a ruling class than many of us can possibly conceive or appreciate.

Only the discerning can appreciate this and know precisely where this whole thing may be heading.

They may not have structures or elected representatives in the legislative and executive arms of Government but they have IDEAS and VISION coupled with a clear ideological and philosophical bent which can and will endure for far longer than mere political platforms and structures.

Unknown to them as well as virtually everyone else, therein lies their power. As they say, an idea whose time has come cannot be stopped.

Long after we are all gone they will still be here because structures and political alliances rarely endure but IDEAS and VISION last forever.

Again they will outlive and outlast us all because they are not a political party in the true sense of the word but rather a growing national movement which scales and spreads across ethnic, religious, political and regional lines and traditional boundaries.

They also represent a generational and paradigm shift which is increasingly attractive to many and they are bound tightly together by a common purpose, common cause and common objective: namely to rid Nigeria of the old order and usher in the new.

That is really what they want to do and that is the primary and strongest source of their inspiration and motivation.

They are far more dangerous to what the French describe as the 'Ancien Regime', the old political class and the entire system itself than anything we have ever seen before because most of them, bar their leader and a small handful of political tried and tested veterans and old war horses around him, are NOT politicians and have never ventured anywhere near the political arena or the circles of power.

In the main they are an innovatively aggressive and frightful array and association of angry and determined young men and women who clearly have the courage of their convictions coupled with the audacity, fury, daring, rage and firm resolve of those that were involved in the Endsars protesters and the fiery footsoldiers that effected the 1917 Russian Bolshevik revolution led by Vladimir Iliyich Lenin.

There is also something Rawlingesque and intimidating about them.

That is to say they are like the late, great and mighty son of Africa and leader of Ghana, President Jerry Rawlings, who also led a successful revolution in his country in 1979 and who, on his second coming in 1981 when he toppled yet another Government said, "if there is no justice there can be no peace!"

That is the spirit that is in the Obidients and that is what moves them.

Yet though they do not like to hear it their chances of winning the presidential election next year, short of a miracle, are very slim and deep down they all know it even if they refuse to publicly acknowledge it.

Despite that they are determined to fight to the end, hope for the best, work hard and give it their best shot and, of course, therein lies their victory.

In this game courage is the key. As they say, 'he who dares wins'. Again as they say, 'fortune favours the bold' and these young people are both daring and bold.

That they can challenge the status quo and vie for the sacred and awesome power that has been shared by the two major political parties or their ancestral variants over the last 62 years is commendable in itself. I am not part of them but I certainly commend and applaud their efforts.

They too have a right to fight for their rights and future and to be heard. They too have a dream and a story to tell and we must never begrudge them that.

Yet if the truth be told they are not only interested in winning an election but, perhaps even more importantly, they are interested in making a profound and defiant statement, registering their protest against the status qou and the powers that be and triggering and engendering a full scale, comprehensive and all-embracing social, cultural and political revolution.

They want a real and fundamental change and not a fake one. They want to pull the whole house and system down with everyone in it and rebuild a new one in their own image, with their own values and on their own terms.

Most important of all they want to see the back of those of us that are in any way associated with the old order or that have been in Government or the corridors of power at ANY point in time over the last 62 years.

That desire and sentiment is the force that is driving and propelling them and that is kindling their fire and swelling their ranks.

They are like the Robspiers and the Marats of the bloody French revolution between 1789 and 1799 whose battle cry was "liberty, equality and fraternity", who brought an end to the French monarchy, Royal family and nobility, chopped off their heads and established a proud and strong new order and proud Republic.

Like Robspier's tiny cabal of French revolutionaries they are led by a small cell of intellectual and idealistic hardliners and are bolstered, girded and supported by a volatile, massive and increasingly dangerous support group and power base who threaten violence and hurl insults at their perceived detractors at the drop of a hat and as a consequence of years of pent up anger and frustration.

If they ever get power many heads will role and many of today's and yesterday's leaders will run into exile or go into hiding.

This is especially so of those who have something to hide or who have skeletons in their cupboards.

That is what makes them so threatening and I repeat, those of us that are in the larger political parties or that are members of the existing and ancient ruling class underestimate them, ignore them and display disdain for their firm resolve and rising anger at our own peril.

Most of my political associates, friends and colleagues across party lines tend to dismiss them with contempt.

They regard them as being inconsequential and argue that they only exist on social media. I beg to differ. I see them in the streets and I see them in the Churches.

I see them amongst my staff and amongst those that regard themselves as being amongst the oppressed and downtrodden.i see them amongst the professionals and those thst are bankers, lawyers, doctors and artists.

I see them in the North, West, East and South. I see them everywhere and not only on social media.

I see them as being a very powerful and potent rising force which, if properly managed, will develop into a major political power over the next few years with a strong ideological and electoral foundation and massive structures.

That is the potential that they have and that is how dangerous they can be.

The sooner those of us that are in the larger political parties get off our high horses, display a little humility, try and understand their mindset, reach out to them, take them more seriously, appreciate their anger, restore their hope, make the necessary concessions and try and abate their rage and rising angst the better it will be for us all.

They may not have today but if we do not play our cards right they may end up having tomorrow.

May God help us all.

PoliticsSuspected Thugs Disrupt Pro-atiku Meeting In Rivers by iSense247(op): 7:41am On Aug 23, 2022
Thugs suspected to be loyalists of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Sunday, disrupted the meeting of the National Mandate Group (NMG), a group supporting the aspiration of the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in Rivers State.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the group, led by Senator Lee Maeba, was in Bori, the headquarters of Khana local government area of the State, at a facility owned by the former lawmaker before the gathering was dispersed by the thugs.

It was further gathered that the group had met to endorse the candidature of Atiku, who is currently in a face-off with the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, over the choice of Delta State governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, as the PDP presidential running mate.

Meanwhile, the Rivers State government has reaffirmed its determination to arrest and prosecute owner of any filling station selling petroleum products supplied by artisanal refiners.

This is as it said that no amount of blackmail will deter it from prosecuting the lawmaker representing Port Harcourt federal constituency II in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chinyere Igwe, whose filling station had been sealed for alleged illegal oil bunkering activities.

The Chief of Staff, Government House, Port Harcourt, Chief Emeka Woke, who disclosed this, spoke on Monday at Mogho community in Gokana local government area of the State during a Permanent Voters Card (PVC) sensitisation and mobilisation rally organised by the Grassroots Development Initiative (GDI).

Woke insisted that the state government has constitutional obligation to decisively deal with anyone involved in acts inimical to the Nigerian economy.

He said: “Anybody who allows his business premises to be used for illegal oil bunkering, that premises will be shut down. Whoever, allows his hotel to harbour criminals bent of destabilizing the State, we will deal with you according to the law.”

The Chief of Staff, who urged Hon. Igwe to submit himself to security agencies for interrogation, however, warned him to desist from misleading the unsuspecting members of the public with spurious claims that he was being politically victimised.

Woke further took a swipe at Hon. Igwe for making derogatory remarks about the State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

According to him, but for the governor’s benevolence, the federal lawmaker would have gone into political extinction.

Woke added: “I listen to Chinyere Igwe yesterday talking about ingratitude. A man who had been retired politically. This is the man who spent only one term in the House of Representatives and came back home.

“The immediate-past governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, chased him out of Port Harcourt and he ran to Abuja. He even contested on the platform of ACN then, and lost woefully.

“When we had mobilized GDI and had strengthened the party (Peoples Democratic Party), we brought him back and those of them whom he said he is speaking for now. None of them were foundation members of GDI.

“And His Excellency, the governor gave him platform, first as a Commissioner and then to the National Assembly, even though he didn’t win the primary. And today, he is talking about ingratitude.”

“With this kind of people, our party is now for the old peoples home,” the chieftain said

The chieftain argued that APC should refocus itself, if it must go further.

“The only position that should be reserved for people of 70 years and above should be Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), and not presidency or national chairman of a political party.

In this age and time, the party can’t have a Presidential candidate with over 10 years age above the candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi and it would expect to compete favourably.

“If nobody would hire someone above 70 years afresh to running his business or company notwithstanding how intelligent that person might be, such should not be prescribed for the country.

“Party administration and governance are energetic job, therefore should be giving to people with age on their sides,” he stated.

Hmmmmm.

Let's agree these people are associated with the APC government, are they killing people like these PDPs thugs have started?
I would have sent you videos to clear your doubt but for security reasons and to protect my privacy. The most deadly cultists in Osun State are under the payroll of the state government. Some of them are living larger than Senators. They are always part of the governor's entourage even though they have been declared wanted by the police.

That's why I believe politicians are behind Nigeria's insecurity - killings, kidnapping and destructions. https://www.facebook.com/104279271785831/posts/pfbid0CHwB74SP7yk1ZD8XHM4qdjBdWgPfdzVAjtYv368SXigxmbg6QHLTmAqiouGnvKApl/?app=fbl
