While we condemn the murders in its entirety, these NEF people are not in the position to give ultimatums because for years their own youths have been responsible for equally despicable acts of violence and senseless murders. The families of those murdered by their own people because of 'blasphemy' are yet to get justice years after, so, while the whole event is tragic, there are broader issues that have not been addressed and therefore their ultimatums are useless and provocative on their own.

Hunters of northern origin, who lived in Rivers State, were travelling to Kano for the Eid holidays. They were travelling by road.

They were stopped by vigilantes in Uromi, Edo State. The vigilantes saw their dane guns and raised an alarm. A mob formed and burned the travellers in their trucks.
