It is with deep sense of concern to serve humanity that i write to all prospective uites for the 2009/2010 admission exercise that as u start ur journey towards becoming one of the fortunate nigerian students,i mean a uite.
i have been a student of ui since 2004 and i will be saying good bye in few weeks time and i implore u to read attentively what i wrote or that i have written on this site in the past cos i believe i have got all da experience u need to get going and when u check tru the site, u will get others that can help like shegcy,fatai,phemour,ayeni234,aydablues,afoadewale etc.
First, make sure u read all instructions before you begin to do or fill anything and as u know when u hear anything confirm it from the school website as well cos we r now in the information age and ui will not listen to u if u make any mistake along the line(those that make mistakes last yr were denied admission) and be careful as u begin this admission process cos every step u take during the filling of forms and the like are part of the screening exercise and so be careful once again and do things with little or no agressiveness.
Secondly,make sure u try to seek advice when it is necessary from those that u r sure have d right info and then i will advice that after gettin the pin and loggin in,print out the form u r to fill online,fill it and cross check and take it back online to fill and cross check again before submitting.
also, plz note that u dont need to pay anybody, i mean anybody not even me to get admission into ui, the first tin is merit and then others(confidential) but they r strict oh, so no pay anybody but if u wish to give charity then u r free to.
dont forget to pray as well,read tru d past thread on ui admissions, and u dont even need to come to ui until d screening exercise date so take am cool.plz dont mind my style of writin, i am writin as it occur to me.

there is more than enough information on the www.ui.edu.ng.and www.ui.mycportal.com.those r ur companion for now on how to go about ur registration.so read instructions very well so take it easy k?i no wat am saying dont be too exited to make mistakes u r almost a bonafide uite but not yet so take to instruction but shd incase u need my assistance in skool just call me am very much around .

A. SECOND CHOICE AND SUPPLEMENTARY ADMISSION – INTERACTIVE SESSION




1. Following the submission of result(s) by candidates who made the University of Ibadan their First Choice, Second Choice and those who did change of course between the 18th and 25th August, 2008, the shortlisted candidates (check the list) are requested to present themselves for verification and interactive session at the University of Ibadan on Thursday 11th September, 2008. Please check your status and the date of interview on the UIWEB.

2.    Check the PORTAL using your PIN to print out the invitation letter


3. Candidates should report at the Lecture Theatre of their prospective Faculties for the exercise at 8.30 am prompt on Thursday 11th September, 2008 with the following documents.




(a) Two recent passport size photographs – showing frontal face view. Size should be 5.2cm x 5.2cm

(b) Original and photocopies of JAMB Notification of Result.

(c) Original and photocopies of WAEC/NECO/SSCE certificates.

(d) Original and photocopies of birth certificate/sworn declaration of age.

· Candidates should note that online statements of results are not acceptable for this exercise.

Kindly signify your acceptance of the admission offer by:

1.      Paying the acceptance fee  of seven thousand five hundred naira only (N7, 500.00) into the Afribank Plc, UI Branch, University Student Fee Account No. 36000912A, at the nearest Afribank Plc Branch nationwide.

2.      Printing a copy of the acceptance form from the University website and submitting the filled form online/hardcopy with evidence of the acceptance fee latest by the 19th September 2008.

This Admission offer is expected to lapse by the 20th September 2008, when the offer will be given to the third batch successful candidates.

As i write now,i can tel u that the list of those to be invited for interactive session is being entered into  a database to be published online,they r unable to finish it on friday so they r still workin on it and there is hope that it wil be online by today,saturday or latest monday,so try and check as early as possible on monday so that u can get what u need to bring along for the session.
Also i wil be away online until 18 of this month so if u finally make it to ui,i wish u all da best.
when u finally make it ,plz note that your way 2 makin first class or second class upper starts from the day 1 of resumption so the ball is in your court.
Always make sure that u read instructions before takin any steps and during the week,ui release a bulletin for the orientation progrmme for the new students which will start on 22 september by 10.am to the end of the week.so try and be there because it is part of the journey.
