Anybody who has applied end of 2021 and beginning of 2022, should put it in mind that it’s going to take 22 months at least.

The new processing time is 22 months and that's why Eligibility and Background check are taking months to be completed

There is nothing you can do than to wait for IRCC to evaluate what you submitted. They will either accept it that way or return your application. And why would you also patronize a mediocre lawyer? Well, this is not time for blame game, sha. Sorry for the lawyer's error

Update (I need your advice guru)
I received my GCMS note today, after reading through it, I noticed the Lawyer I used messed up my application seriously.
1. The date we said we first met is different from the date the lawyer put with the evidence (my email).
2. Our proof of communication, which she submitted is not standard enough.
3. She went to put the in-Canada application instead of the Output-Canada application (because I live in Nigeria).

How do I correct these mistakes written by the lawyer.

Hmm... Have you gotten your own PPR yet?

With me having three travel histories, I wonder how long it will take them to do my background check; I haven't even received prearrival yet

This isn't correct. I know so many may and June applicants with the most basic application, zero travel history and are still waiting to hear from IRCC.

Some of those May and June applicants whom are yet to get PPR probably have a complex application. After medical is passed, it takes average of 4 months to complete the whole process. My opinion though.

They later acknowledged it after 40 days, and I received biometric request

Your timeline is a little confusing. Do you mind clarifying?
Your application was returned two times; and you got AOR not so long ago and immediately they already started asking you for additional information after you got AOR? Does that mean they started processing your application before you got AOR?

To your question, they don't usually respond or acknowledge receipt of documents but doesn't mean they haven't received it. I'd say you shouldn't worry about that but if your spouse wants to engage their MP to help you confirm from IRCC, you can do that too.

Pls, the timeline for IRCC to respond to webform is what I need, not the spouse sponsorship timeline cos I know it has been increased to 20months. Thanks.

I submitted Police certificate of clearance through webform to IRCC yesterday, so I need an idea on when to get their response

The initial timeline was 13 months but in 4th IRCC improved their process time and according to them, spouse sponsorship is now 9 months.

AOR will be distributed this week again to many December/2021 applicants.

Note: Don't expect AOR if your application submission is not in between 85-90 days after submission. That's is the new IRCC rule

Let's keep calm, we shall all receive AOR.
