BeMab: Your question is not clear. Do you mean can you renew your Nigerian passport in Nigeria while you're in the US or can you renew a passport issued in the US in Nigeria? If the first, no. You have to come down to Nigeria to renew or renew at your Nigerian Consulate in the US. If the second, yes. For example, if you renewed your passport in New York and it's about to expire or already expired, you can renew it in Nigeria. But you must be physically present in Nigeria to do so. Hope this helps. |

Solanaa: Your plug has told you a big lie. I was there in April and the PCO confirmed that they had completed December production as of April. I had captured in December and went to meet since my passport had not been produced in April and he ordered immediate production. Your plug is either not a sure one or she's playing you big time. 4 Likes |

drLammy: Hello do you help with police clearance certificate attestation at MOFA and Qatar Embassy? If yes, could you kindly guide as to what would be required and how much it would cost? |

evergreen9: You'll have to process it through the Nigerian consulate at your country of residence. Or you come home to renew it if it's convenient for you. |

OwolabiAbayomi: Are you DIY? And where did you process your passport application? You may need to provide more information for people to be able to assist you with guidance. Also, if you still have your application id and reference number you can check the status online to eliminate any possibility of any NIN issues stalling your application. 1 Like |

Flourhine: Honestly don't know if there's any way it can be "retrieved", sorry. Maybe others may have ideas to help. In reality though, if you don't have any NIN discrepancies or issues, the online tracking is not too reliable if what you're after is update about your passport being ready. If you're DIY you'll have to go to their office to check after a few months. They don't really update the online tracker as such. Many people have collected their passports even when the tracker did not show it was ready for collection. 1 Like |

ekitimanalways: Festac Immigration Office is really no man's land. I did mine there too in December as DIY and got no collection date. But the new PCO is a very good man. He's the only officer there that seems to understand what it means to be a public servant. 2 Likes |

sunnyg12: If you're DIY, Festac will not give you collection date. I captured at Festac in December and wasn't given a collection date. I was told to go and be checking online lol.. If you're DIY and you captured at Festac, be mentally prepared for a long battle... I had to go to meet the PCO personally in April after I was continuously told "it's not ready"... After 4 months lol.. my file was not even touched until the PCO ordered it to be produced within a few hours. NOTE: If you're Festac DIY, check my previous post on this thread on how I got my passport. It's the best bet for you right now as a DIY, except of course you're an exceptional exception. Just make sure you are within the production window before you go for collection so that the PCO can help you faster. As at April 27th when I was there, they were producing January (of course fast trackers don't follow that timetable, but as DIY you have to follow official timetable lol). 3 Likes |

Your passport must be ready. I also captured on the 22nd of December at Festac Office. My little story... I went there a couple of weeks ago and was told it's not ready. I didn't argue with them at collection. Went straight to the PCO's office and waited till he arrived. He invited me in and asked me when I captured. I told him December. The man almost jumped out of his seat. He ordered them to immediately go and look for my file. Told me to give him two hours and come back and see him. Alas, they never even touched my file since I captured (online of course). It was just dumped somewhere. He ordered immediate production and within 3hours my passport was ready. Note: Festac Office PCO (PCO Oselowo) is an extremely professional and nice officer. Per excellence I must say. He will treat you like a VIP and his word is his bond. Anyone having issues at Festac Office should go see him directly. However you must be extremely patient and persistent. The junior officers at his office will try to frustrate you not to see him... They will chase and try to intimidate you. Just do as they say and still stay on their neck. Mill around the stairs to his office around 11am to 12pm ish.. that's when he usually comes around. Or maybe earlier. Once those officers start running about, then know he's about to enter his office. Once he's in his office, he'll invite anyone at his door to come in. He'll attend to you ASAP, just be patient. wemimo88: 3 Likes |
