InvestmentRe: Suggestions Needed On Where To Invest N11million For 17months by Istan2020: 12:21am On Nov 04, 2020

Someone already suggested charcoal business to me which I decline because of the terrible experince I had in the business.

The problems you will encounter when trying to export charcoal are just too many, if it;s not the difficulty of getting a container from Oyo or Kwara, it's the problem you will encounter when the truck gets to the port.

All of this involves additional additional expenses which impacts negatively on budgeted profit.

After export you now have to deal with your partner in Europe or Asia who will complain of too much moisture content so as to ask for additional discount and on top of that will still not remit your money on time as agreed!

I will only consider this business if you are ready for a 50-50 sharing of all costs and revenue but the customer must establish a confirmed Letter of Credit.

Same thing goes for the agro export . No Confirmed Letter of Credit no deal
You're a shrewd business man!
Please share your contact, I want to learn from you.

Am I the only one seeing different unusual threads by new monikers on Nairaland this midnight?

I suspect this is a spambot attack.

Your post inspired me to post an interesting experience I had on the market place.

I once stumbled on a buyer's request with the normal highest quality demands, premium gig. He listed the gig for $5( meaning it was an open bidding). From my experience of handling a previous project like such. I made an offer for $300 and made reference to my previous work which happened to be for a top government agency in his country (He's Australian).
Probably his country's sentiment played in my hands and he was delighted to offer me the job.

The interesting thing was when he tried negotiating with me, he showed me offers made by other sellers (Indians, Nigerians, Pakistanis) for the same job at $20,$10,$40 etc. I asked him why he didn't consider them knowing fully well the job can't be done at such prize. He said it was a waste of time going for those lowballers.

He said in most cases they end up wasting his time with quack delivery. Specifically said Nigerians will take the job at such ridiculous prices only to come back and beg to raise the price while the gig was running.

I felt ashamed of my country men . I have met very rich company execs on fiverr some of whom I have become friends with and even video chat on whatsapp. These guys can pay top $ for a job.
If you're good at what you do, don't under sell your work.
I'll like to get in touch boss. Kindly drop your contact.

My dear i freelance on upwork,I regisered on fiverr last year, but when i saw $5 jobs.. i just left the account and dissapeared. then again i decided to try fiverr just this month, for the first time, i saw gigs for 5$ i almost ran mad, cause i charge quite high on upwork.. But i decided not to run away this time.. Created my gigs starting at 100$ each wtih extras totaling upto 300 per single video job.. I thought maybe High prices may not get me anything. But real clients, are the ones that dont pay peanuts.. I landed my first on october, $150.. did it and claimed my money, client came back again, this time i told him 200$, client paid.. Got another told me 200 euros, i gave him my price.. we landed at 412$ for 40 sec of video.. completed job, client left me additional tip of 28$.. got my 4th job within october for 150. that is the one i am doing now.
So my fellow guys, this thing my brother above said is true.. those 5$ are the most problematic.. they will want you do do everything, and if you refuse they will give you very bad rating on mere 5$ job.
Boss, please drop your number I want to get in touch.

It requires real hard work. I don't have a social life anymore, because I'm always working.
I learnt about Fiverr here on Nairaland and I encourage Nigerian youths to learn a digital skill, master it, be consistent, have good manners then sack your boss in less than 4 months.
What digital skills would you recommend?

After I saw how my dad suffered to raise the two of us I and my sibling till the company he was working with went down. We started living from one aunt house to uncles houses. I have been thrown out on four occasions, accused of stealing on many occasions, starved by family, disowned by my own mother who is in the abroad sending monies to different people in Nigeria and disregarding her son because I looked like my father. At 21 I moved to ibadan, stayed with a friend, dumped by my gf, Hustled to get my cert, did my Nysc, hustled more, bought a land at ibadan, bought my first car, bought another car, moved down to Lagos, rented a apartment.

Now I have a unisex salon, a boutique, a car listed on Bolt, and Presently working on roofing my project.

It’s not been easy. Not all women are mothers.
Boss please drop your contact. I need you to put me through

You can learn skills online. Aside this there are lots of informations here that you can make use of KDP (ilegend has written about this), freeancing (search for ladywriter and read her threads) and many more.
I once begged for help here to bury my brother. I got no help from no one. Right now, things has changed.
Do start now.
Could you please put me through? I'm facing a similar situation of uncertainty right now.

*applause* first you fear 200k a month. then you make that regularly, then you make a million and nothing seems impossible again. in fact the road to million is the hardest part. followed by being able to maintain that millionaire path. It all starts with self belief, then skill acquisition, then skill implementation, then self promotion and finally ends with cashing out.
Boss, please share your contact with me. I need serous mentorship

Bro, in April when I made 1.5 from a single transaction, my first time of collecting a bulk payment of 1M and above in my account. No office, no much money on me, little packaging, etc. I was happy and sad. Happy that I got my first payment of above 1M, sad that I wasted half a decade of my life serving for pittance. Bro, I suffered in my former office. Occupational hazards, no insurance.

However, I just took it that the years spent was for my education and most importantly appreciation of the value for money. If I got it easy and early, I may not have appreciated it and would have wasted it.

It's not about the money but the mental relief that I'm not useless, that I have what people are willing to pay millions for and that my sweat can pay me well.

My seniors are still in my former office earning 90 to 120k with 9 to 12years on the job. No HMO, no Pension. I can't tell them anything. They all complain but don't have the mind to leave. Some have borrowed money which they pay from their salaries.

Leaving is the hardest thing and you can't leave unless your mind first leaves that place.
Boss, please kindly share your contact with me

Simple, I freelance online and work on Logos...EARN, SAVE, SPEND WISELY
And clearly I hardly work for Nigerians...Overseas people are all about the work and not money while here in my country is all about the money and not work...In Nigeria, you want a Bently or Ferrari but you are bringing Toyota money as payment, gerraoutta here biko.....Overseas people can pay you $500 for a simple design because they know what that design would do for them, Nigeria it is 1k 2k 5k and the rest and be disturbing your life..Least I work online is $150 or 50k naira....So my friend it was hardwork and patience..Now I am just maintaing my lane
Boss, please put me through. I don't mind paying to learn. Just mentor me please
