"I'm however surprised that despite the untold suffering APC has brought upon this land, many are still warming up to vote in the same party in the federal level believing that APC would deliver Nigerians from the suffering brought by the same APC ( lol).

APC and the Buhari government is a party of propaganda and lies and I said this long time ago , if you like believe , I don't care.

APC can't change this narrative rather it'd get worse if you choose to continue with APC at the federal level, this time the Christian supporters of APC would bear the brunt of the evil mechanism of APC.

The election can only be rigged successfully when there are sycophants cheering them."

CrimeUnknown Fraudster Wired N500,000 To 2 Brothers' Account. Now, They Are In A Cell by ISTP(op): 3:14pm On Nov 06, 2022
ISTP:
Tobi Adetoye and Michael Adetoye, residents of Ibadan, have been arrested and detained by officials of the Police Special Fraud Unit, Ikoyi, Lagos, for receiving N500,000 in their account.

Seyi Adetoye, a relative of the detainees, told FIJ on Friday that the brothers were handed over to the Special Fraud Unit by officials of Kuda Bank on Thursday.

Seyi stated that Kuda froze their account on Wednesday and requested that they visit their Lagos office for a resolution.

“On Wednesday, someone sent N500,000 into my brothers’ account, which turned out to be money got through fraud,” Seyi told FIJ.

“Subsequently, their account was frozen by Kuda Bank as a result of the transaction. My brothers reached out to Kuda to complain, and the bank asked them to visit their Lagos office for the issue to be resolved.

“Tobi and Michael travelled from Ibadan to Lagos on Thursday to rectify the issue, only to get to Kuda Bank’s headquarters in Lagos and be handed over to the Special Fraud Unit.”

A WANTED SENDER

Seyi told FIJ that Kuda handed the brothers to the police because they had received the money from someone on the Special Fraud Unit’s wanted list.

“When Michael’s wife and I got to Ikoyi, where they were detained, we were told that the sender of the money was the one who got them into trouble,” said Seyi.

“The officials at the Fraud Unit told us that the sender was a fraudster who was on the wanted list of the anti-crime agency.

“They do not know the sender or have any sort of relationship with him.”

A LEASED OPAY ACCOUNT

FIJ probed further and realised that the account that led to the arrest was an Opay account rented out for business.

“They have an Opay account, which they rented out for business transactions, and the alleged fraudster had sent the money into the account,” said Seyi.

“They own the account, but it wasn’t managed by them. The account was being managed by the person they leased it out to

“The bank verification number linked with the Opay account was traced to their own Kuda account, and that was how they were involved in the first place.

“They know nothing about the money or it’s sender.”

STRINGENT BAIL TERMS

Seyi told FIJ that the fraud unit had agreed to release the brothers on meeting certain conditions.

“The officers are asking them to repay the N5 million stolen by the fraudster,” he said.

“They didn’t even know about the money or how it was spent.”

However, the conditions were later changed to the certificate of ownership of a property within the state and a senior police officer surety.

“They will be bailed, but they have to provide a level 14 police officer and the certificate of ownership of a landed property in Lagos.”

WE CAN’T DISCLOSE ANY INFO OVER THE PHONE

When FIJ contacted the investigating police officer in charge of the case, who simply identified as Ezekiel, he said: “the money passed through their account, somebody transferred the money to them and they are denying knowledge of the sender”.

When FIJ asked if the sender was on the police’s wanted list, the officer declined to comment further.

“See, if you want to know more about the issue, come to my office. I can’t disclose further information over the phone,” he said.

When FIJ contacted Kuda Bank for comments on the issue, a customer care agent asked that our reporter send them an email, but at press time, they had not responded to the email.

TravelWhy There Are No Menial Jobs In Canada, US, UK by ISTP(op):
ISTP:
Recently, the photos of a lady described as a “former senior banking lady in Nigeria” with a mop stick in the United Kingdom trended on different social media platforms.

The Nigerian lady published the photos herself about her relocation to the UK and how she was working as a home care person (taking care of the aged, the infirm, babies, etc).

But the story was repackaged by some Nigerian online platforms with a sensational headline that a senior banking professional relocated to the UK and became a cleaner.

Not surprising, many Nigerians who read only headlines ridiculed the lady and the issue of Nigerians emigrating to other countries to do “menial jobs.”

That negative reaction of many Nigerians was born out of poor understanding of how Western countries work and a wrong attitude towards labour.

The disparity between jobs seen as “professional” and those seen as “menial” in Nigeria creates this attitude in many Nigerians.

Some jobs are looked down upon in Nigeria because of the remuneration that accrues to them as well as the lack of respect they attract.

When Nigerians emigrate to Western countries, their academic qualifications don’t bear the same weight they bear in Nigeria.

Doctors, lawyers, engineers, and most other professionals don’t just stroll into such a new country like Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Australia and get jobs in their areas of specialisation.

Many professionals have to undertake certification before they can practise such professions. Some people will discover that the field in which they have chains of degrees is not in demand in their new country.

They need to acquire new skills because most Western countries value skills over certificates.

But most importantly, emigrants immediately discover that because of the depreciation of the naira, spending money made in Nigeria in Western countries is like throwing money into a deep hole.

One million naira that can pay for the rent of a decent three-bedroom apartment in Nigeria will not pay the one-month rent of a two-bedroom apartment in the Western world.

The way to ensure that one does not run into a financial crisis is to get a temporary job while waiting for the permanent job.

Few people are lucky to get the desired permanent jobs within a few weeks of arrival. The rest take up temporary jobs first. These include home care, call centre, grocery, etc.

The good news is that in the true sense of the word, there are no menial jobs in the Western or developed countries.

“Servants” are also virtually non-existent.

A person who cleans the floor or cuts grass or clears snow or drives others or takes care of the aged or infirm or does security work for a company is not seen as doing “menial jobs” as obtains in Nigeria and most of Africa.

The person is employed and paid according to the number of hours worked like all professionals. And he or she can work as an officer in a company during the day and work as a cleaner for another company in the evening or weekends.

You can’t toy with them. You can’t disrespect them. You can’t owe them salaries. You can’t turn them to your servants who carry your bags or run errands for you and receive all forms of indignities from you as their “oga”. You can’t even afford them as your personal cleaner or driver or cook or “gate man” like most of us in Nigeria do, because developed countries don’t pay peanuts like under-developed or developing countries.

In fact, once people relocate to other countries, most of them discover that their chains of degrees are not rated highly like having some skills.

Some drop their certificates and learn plumbing, carpentry, truck driving, etc, which pays well.

Many plumbers, carpenters, electricians, mechanics, etc, earn more than those who work in banks, law firms, and other corporate outfits.

If you need their services, most times they will tell you that they won’t be available until three months away. And when they eventually have the time for you, they charge you according to the number of hours their job entails.

They will even charge you for the time they spend smoking cigarette. If you need them to remove an extra nail or bolt, they will give you the bill for that. There are no stories about it.

Children start working and earning money from about the age of 16, and nobody who works up to five days a week earns less than the equivalent of USD1,000 per month. And that is for those who are studying or preparing to get into the university.

Full-time workers earn more than that because they are allowed to do more than one job. It is a system that teaches people the dignity in labour – not sitting down and waiting for handouts.

Most parents don’t pay university fees for their children. The children work to raise money to do so, supported by scholarships and loans from the government. Many of them don’t even bother to acquire any university education because they see it as too much stress. Once they are through with high school or secondary school, they learn a trade.

That skill equips them all through their life. They simply get higher certifications in their field and rise in rank and earning. You don’t need a university degree in a developed country to be very successful in life.

In developed countries, nobody cares about what you do or what you earn.

You just make your money, pay your taxes, pay your bills, and live your life as you choose, within the dictates of the law. As long as you are willing to work and are hardworking, you can never be poor in a developed economy.

Unlike in Nigeria where certain levels of workers cannot afford certain good things of life, cleaners or plumbers or carpenters drive very good cars like every other person, live in very good apartments or buy good houses, go on holidays to different cities, and send money to relatives in their home country, if they are immigrants.

Jobs are available. You don’t need any connection to get a job. All you need is your qualification and suitability for the role, whether it is full-time or part-time.

Nobody is ashamed to do any job because no job is menial. There is no free money and there is no stolen money. If you play smart (the Nigerian euphemism for stealing or corruption), the system flags you and sends you to jail. You lose your integrity and credibility.

That is why those countries continue to grow while blessed countries like Nigeria continue to regress and wallow in crisis.

CrimeUS Court To Sentence Hushpuppi Monday, November 7 by ISTP(op): 8:04am On Nov 05, 2022
ISTP:
Contrary to the rumoured sentencing of social media celebrity, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as ‘Hushpuppi’, indications have emerged that the sentencing will be held on Monday, November 7.

There were reports on Friday that Hushpuppi had been sentenced to 11 years in prison in the United States, but according to the BBC, the report is fake.

Hushpuppi is a suspected Nigerian internet fraudster arrested in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in June 2020 and was extradited to the United States on July 3. He was arrested for defrauding over 1.9 million people, the majority of them being Americans.

The 37 years old had pleaded guilty to the charges filed against him.

An earlier statement by the acting United States Attorney Tracy Wilkinson revealed that Hushpuppi and his accomplice faked the financing of a school by playing the roles of bank officials and creating a bogus website. He was also alleged to have bribed foreign officials to keep the elaborate pretence.

In October, 2022, the trial judge, Otis Wright, of the US Central District Court in California postponed the sentencing to Monday, November 7, 2022.

“Counsels are notified, the sentencing is continued to November 7, 2022 at 11.30 am. as to Defendant Ramon Olorunwa Abbas,” the court announcement shifting the sentencing read.

ISTP:
I decided to ask the above question on this forum because of what transpired some years ago between a cousin of mine who lived with me and his girlfriend.

My cousin dated this lady for 2 years. Within this period, the lady made my cousin believed she was a virgin.

One day, both of them went for an event and after they were seated, he gave her his car key to keep in her hand bag.

After the event, as they approached the car park, my cousin asked for his car key and the lady gave him her hand bag to take the key himself as she was engrossed with her phone. It was in the days of Black Berry.

When my cousin brought out his car key from the hand-bag, lo and behold, what he saw shocked him and hit him hard.

He saw a satchet of Postinor. Not the normal satchet that has 10 tabs. The kind of satchet that has a circular shape with just 2 tablets.

He asked for an explanation and amidst confusion, she said it was a foreign vitamin tablets called Postinor. OMG! That lady can lie sha.

My cousin confronted her and told her he knew what it was and it's a contraceptive.

She changed the lie saying it wasn't her bag that she lent it from a friend. She went on by telling my cousin that she had thought it was a vitamin and she doesn't know much about it as it was her friend that left it in the bag.

My cousin being wise, let go, played along and pretended to be naive just to avoid relationship drama.

He got a new MTN sim and waited patiently to get access to her phone.

When he finally got access to the lady's phone, he changed the lady's pastor's number to the new number he had.

Meanwhile, this lady was a member and in the protocol department of a popular church and it's H/Q is situated in the South-South. The General Overseer (won't want to mention names on this forum) of the church is also a popular pastor that likes getting into sex scandals and he was recently in the news some weeks ago.

The lady saved the pastor's number as "daddy". All my cousin did was to change only the number to the new MTN number.

He sent her a text at night in this format: "My daughter, the Lord is very angry with your secret sins. Confess and ask God for mercy."

Mehnnn! Almost immediately he sent the text, the lady texted back and started spilling trash.

In the text, she said she recently aborted a 2 weeks pregnancy. And, she has been having sex with a married Pastor in that same church. Mad o!

My cousin didn't say anything as he had a very deep mind.

He waited till the next day. Called her with the same number and ended the relationship.

I'll end it here as it's a very long story.

My cousin died towards the end of the year 2017 in a ghastly motor accident.

Rest in peace Pe.ter Ka.diri (P.K)
