@Lady G, as if you know what my sister inlaw told me. She said I should wait on God and that she views IVF as trying to help God. Anyway, I am not disturbed by what men say. Lady G just pray and hear from God. People can be hurtful especially when they have not walked in that shoes. I went for a cousins birthday after a failed IUI procedure, my aunt saw me and was worried about the way I looked cos I lost about 12kg in preparation for the procedure. She kept asking if I was sick and all. You know once you lose weight in Nigeria, HIV is the number 1 suspect. So as to stop her questions, I told her I lost weight to prepare for IUI but unfortunately it failed. Next she started laughing at me, she brought out her tongue (the ntoiiiiiii thing) Said it is good for me. That I want to help God right, I should keep wasting money. I was very hurt initially but when I remembered I owe no man explanations, I just brushed her words aside. God will surely make us all smile in Jesus name. Sorry for my epistle. Please who has done ivf at national hospital Abuja? I heard it is cheap. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you. |
Thanks Venus and favored gal. I have taken 2000mg be4, 1000mg morning and night. I nearly passed out so had to reduce to 1000mg daily. Normally metformin makes me have runny stomach but I am surprised that I am constipated. God dey. |
I am feverish, constipated, tired, sleepy, weak and nauseous. All this plenty things only me. I don't know if it is because of the drugs i am taking. Using fertilaid, ovaboost and metformin (500 ×2). Father Lord please save me from this TTC. Ike agwu nnam mu. Sorry for my ranting. |
Her name is Dr. Onyekwere. She is a gynae consultant at LASUTH Ikeja. You can see her on Thursdays cos that is her clinic days. But you have to be very very patient. You know general hospital and it's wahala. I think she also has a private hospital where she sees patients but I am not so sure. I remember one time I was frustrated/tired of taking drugs and all. I went to see her and when she prescribed more drugs for me, I broke down and started weeping She just quietly brought out her bible and preached faith back into me. That alone in my book iswonderful. [qquote author=TCF1980 post=27407950] Please pm me her contact details.
|
@TCF1980, I have a good female gynae in Lagos. She works at LASUTH Ikeja. Don't know if you will want to see her nazablossom: |
I have a testimony to encourage all of us. My Husband's boss waited 9 years and God finally blessed them with a set of twins (a boy and a girl) last year June. On Monday, he sent us an sms that God has done it again. The wife gave birth to another set of twin (boy & girl). I went for the naming yesterday. God is still in the business of doing wonders. He is still the God of all flesh, the miracle worker. Please hold on sisters and brothers. Our miracle is NOW. |

@Dasha01, the battle is toughest when your miracle is near. Rejoice dear, weeping may endure for the night but your joy has come in Jesus name. It is well. |
I read that DHEA should not be taken by PCOS Patients, just thought to mention it |
@idyobIt & @lordavmercy, I got the book at Laterna book shop, oko awo street Victoria Island. They sell it for1,300 each. You can get it cheaper elsewhere though I don't know of any other place |
Lady G, it is well. Your set time of favour is now in Jesus name |
I read this book, , God's waiting room part 1-3 and it ministered to me. I read testimonies of people that waited for 10, 13, 15, 20 years e.t.c (May our wait end now in Jesus name) and came to the conclusion that there is absolutely nothing impossible for God to do. NOTHING. Sisters and brothers, please be strong and be of good cheer, though it tarry it must surely come to pass. You can buy the book too. It is very good, has testimonies and confessions |

Also read this link. But like I said earlier, I prescribed the drugs myself. my doctors alternative was not available. Tamoxifen: An alternative to clomiphene in women with polycystic ovary syndrome - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3205537/ Beetle: |
@beetle, I am not sure it increases testerone. I read this review online and others then decided to take it. See d link. Will paste others too http://2womenshealth.com/10-Infertility-Treatments/10-10-Infertility-Tamoxifen.htm itsettled, tamoxifen will increase your testerone level, isn't that what you're trying to avoid with PCOS
|
Amen dear. You r welcome. EPO is for what please? Wsfirstlady: |
Yes primout forced AF out like in 5days after the drug. On clomid I monitored the O but unfortunately clomid didn't work for me even after going up to 150mg, no healthy or ripe follicles were seen. I am taking Tamoxifen now. Just started with 20 mg (self medication). My doctor prescribed femara (letrozole) but I couldn't find it so I read online and saw good reviews about Tamoxifen. I will monitor this cycle to see if i O but be warned dear, they are very strong drugs used in treating breast cancer but also used to induce ovulation especially for PCOS Patients cos it works on estrogen levels. Hope my explanation helped? Wsfirstlady: |
@blesseddiva, Thanks a lot. @Wsfirstlady, I have taken primolutN before, it was given to induce/force out AF then I started clomid on the 2nd day of AF. I have taken clomid severally even up to 150mg. I am Now on another type of ovulation inducement drug (self medication) which I read works well for pcos. I pray God uses this to work for me. |
Thanks a lot. @ayaakanoh ayaakanoh: |

Good afternoon. Please what can one take for ovarian cyst? I read aligator pepper on the thread one time but have been searching for the post so as to see the directions but can't find the post. Kindly assist a sister. Thank you |
Congratulations Adorablemum. Wishing you a very healthy 9 months. |
@Itissetteled3, cos of the pcos, i think you have sugar in ur urine thats why you are having those discharge and antibiotics will not help you at all instead it will worsen the case since it tends to kill the white blood cells and might make you more prone to having new infections, i will suggest you start using IMMUNACE asap to help build your immune system and fight those bad bacterias and also, reduce your sugar intake, you might as well use metformin if you have not been placed on that yet, tell your doctor about it....husbands of women with pcos are often accused of cheating cos of the regular infection....lol...if you have pcos pls dont accuse your dh, he is innocent.. Loool @ husband cheating. I bought the IMMUNANCE yesterday so I will start taking it. I don't have discharge just itching and I have gradually reduced my sugar content though still taking carbohydrate. I used Metformin but stopped. I am taking fertility blend now and it has vitex |
mychildishere: Have you done sensitivity and culture for the infection? How did you arrive at fluconazole?Thank you. Yes I have and that is where I got the fluconazole prescription from but it's been a while, now I am self medicating |
Please @fruitfulmum, I want to ask some questions about regenesis. Please what is your email address? |
@Deconsult If you had taken time out to read through the thread, you would have seen that we are men and women that have spent tons of time researching and women with issues that needed to procced to ART.Frankly your comment is intrusive and not well taken. You took out time to imply that women TTCing and trying ART are dumb, decieved by their friends, and not waiting for natural ways. I do not know what your intention was, taking time out of your (dosent seem to be very busy)time to go to a thread/support group for grown men and women making informed choices to bestow what you consider advice. But take it from a woman on that thread (and I believe I speak for a vast number of us)nobody cares about your opinion or ' words of wisdom'.There is such a thing as place and time and it will never reach on that thread. Its like kicking a dog that is already down. Find another cause and crusade please and for the love of..., Mind your business! We have ourselves to listen to and lean upon and to ask questions. From Lady G |
Good morning everyone. Please can anyone suggest a lasting solution to thrush/candida? I keep experiencing it and have taken fluconazole regularly with some other antibiotics but it keeps re occurring. I have changed undies, ironed undies and all other hygienic thing. DH also treats same time with me. I have been diagnosed with PCOS and guess it might be one of it symptoms but I really need it to stop. Any suggestions please? I am open to herbal drugs too. Thank you. |
