When my pastor announced that last Sunday was thanksgiving I was NOT EXCITED. I thought to myself, what is there to be thankful for when the one thing I have  continuously begged God for he is yet to do it.  I was bitter and then like a gentle breeze the Holy Spirit reminded me of the many times I have travelled on the road and I have not been hurt.  I was reminded of the free air I take in everyday. I was reminded I am not in the hospital battling a kidney/liver disease  neither is my husband.  When those thoughts came,  I immediately repented.

Only the living can bear children. What is the victory for a woman who has waited for years to have children and then gets pregnant only to die from the travails of Labour/Child delivery?

Are you like me?  Are you unhappy and saying oh 2015 is almost over?  Are you asking when your quiver will be full?  Are you wondering when you will stop shedding tears at every child dedication in church and everytime your period comes?  Wondering when you will stop looking at pregnant women and wishing the baby will transfer to yours  (lol, I do that a lot )

STOP!!!!! It is not over.  God 's promises are YEA and AMEN. He is not man that he should lie.  Whatever he has said MUST SURELY come to pass.  He said we are NOT barren! Not BARREN!  No exception.  2015 is not over and even if it is,  God's promises are not limited to 2015. We will testify.  We are testifying.  We are victorious.

Since your Beta HCG is still increasing, the indication is you are still pregnant though this depends on the rate at which it is increasing. A TVS will further help in diagnosing better.

the gynae that I saw said to run more test like BETA HCG and transviginal scan (I dey fear that one o ) cos the previous beta HCG test that I did is still high and it is not suppose to be increasing after the miscarriage,.

DH said to finish with the gynae for now b4 facing herbal and that is what I intend to do for now.

A friend's cousin on this thread used an unknown clinic and got her quads there, my friend used a man who didn't have a clinic for hers and got her BFP. I laughed at her during her treatment cos today they are at this scan centre, tomorrow another place, egg retrieval venue was changed 2 times, remaining embryos discarded cos they couldn't transport to a place to store it but today she is pregnant.

So newbies, read peoples testimonies, learn from it, make a list and then pray well.

@Cocoafarmer, it seems you have a personal grievance about Dr. Emeka. He is a human who has his inadequacies but he is an awesome person and I will continue to recommend him to people who are struggling with infertility.

Dr. Emeka has never told anyone he is a gynaecologist and you don't need to be one to be a fertility expert. I rather go to a fertility expert than a gynaecologist if I'm faced with fertility issues. That's your best bet.

I used his clinic after 2 failed attempts at St. Ives and got 3 beautiful babies . God used him to give my husband and I a beautiful 10th year anniversary present. Biko, state your pains with him.

We have so many agents on this site, so many and it just gets me upset. If your "Boss" is really a good fertility doctor, allow his/her work to speak for him/her.

You don't come here under the guise of "saying a testimony" and then put out some well crafted lies to draw people to him/her.

On Dr. Emeka, yes I have used him before, I have referred people to him too. I wasn't totally pleased with my treatment but that is expected. No 100% for me. I don't know if he is a gynaecologist so I can't confirm that but I know he is a good fertility doctor though these days he is not as"sympathetic or friendly" as he was during the period Blendy recommended him.

Being or not being a gynaecologist does not make him a good our bad fertility doctor. Dr. Penny of SERUM Greece is not a gynae but she is a very good fertility doctor and has good success rate. She also works with gynaes for some procedures which she needs a gynae for.

What I am totally against is if you say you are a gynae when you are not?

Anyway, May God answer all our prayers. All these Drs sef.

It is obvious to me that all IVF/Fertility threads on nairaland have been taken over by agents of various Fertility clinics who do nothing than to bad mouth their competitors and hype their principals.

I mean this Dr. Emeka is not even a qualified gynaecologist! In a sane clime, someone like that will not be allowed to advertise himself as a fertility specialist because, he is not. Simple. But unfortunately, so many Nigerians must have fallen victim of his false and fabricated expertise on Nairaland.

Pros: Yes they are cheap.
Cons: They lack professionalism
They are very very lackadaisical.

The worst part for me was the speed at which the Dr. Said we should use donor sperm. He said so many horrible things about d sperm. Got me so worried but I decided to seek a 2nd opinion from a very reliable hospital (Georges hospital) and they gave him a clean bill of health. I was practically begging them to give him Wellman and they refused that his sperm was perfect the way it is.

Anyway I heard success rate is high.

LMAO, my dear e reach to fear. I have attended both meetings before cos my uncle attends Eckankar and my aunt Grail message (what a combination).

For eckankar I was very scared cos he puts off the light and hums like he is invoking spirits while for grail, they just played all those classical songs and hummed to it, also ate plenty food and beer was freely shared.

Good morning. Yes sis, we were there yesterday. We paid 12,400 for registration, did blood test for 2,800 and were asked to bring her husband to donate blood or do underground runs for 7k.

We will settle for underground runs cos no one to donate blood and I was thinking if I could donate for her but my husband won't agree to that.

We have a first antenantal appointment for next week Monday.

She has been complaining of lower pelvic pain so we did a private scan yesterday at Prisms, baby is 27weeks 3 days, weight 1.08kg, in breech position and male. We also listened to the heartbeat.

Sis, i had posted for hospitals in Surulere earlier on. Zaynie suggested Gbaja general hospital and we are there at the moment another mama suggested Parklane hospital. You can try but i doubt General hospital will attend to u now.
