Somehow the only part that got me laughing is the part where she said "some start the journey and die along the road" grin

Only someone who never goes on any road or any journey should expect only other people (and never themselves) to experience such.

Meaning, whoever typed that, is not very bright. (including the op).

Hi guys, It's a long one, but apologies.
I might have the opportunity of coming to torrance in California for a factory training on aircraft maintenance in October.  I am not working, I don't have much ties in Nigeria, but I was able to bargain with a company where I worked before to back me up as they have been sending people for the training. So they have accepted on the condition I will pay for the course through them, and they will give me supporting documents that will show that they are the ones sending me for the course. This course would actually improve my chances of getting a job in Nigeria,  but that is under probability considering the condition of Nigeria. I am a licenced aircraft maintenance engineer in nigeria. But I never had the opportunity to secure a job.
My plan now is to do the course in carlifornia, convert my licence to FAA (American licence). And get a job in the US. I know it's not going to be that straightforward considering the immigration hurdles, work permit and all that. Right now, my parents are still the ones sponsoring me. They have spent all their savings to ensure I got Nigerian licence. They even have to get loan to pay for this course. Right now, I am at the stage of visa application. My questions now are:
1. What are my chances of getting a visa considering that the company is backing me. (The company are the only dealers of this aircraft in Nigeria at the moment).
2. What kind of visa am I expecting? What could be the validity? And what are my chances of getting a work permit with such visa?
3. What are my chances of getting something small to be doing (hustling) and survival without much money and with this visit visa.
4. Do you think it's worth risking? I have roughly 1.5million  naira ($4000 USD) now for the whole thing. Course fee, Visa, flight ticket might take up to $2000USD

Asking questions like these on nairaland instead of the relevant agencies, do not make you appear nonterrorist.

Why not look for the proper accrediting agency and ask them how you can work in the US and explain your reasons for wanting to do so.

For starters, contact this parastatal, not nairaland:

In this day and age, nobody needs to be ugly, all you have to do is apply makeup and package yourself well.

The few who dont do that, shouldnt be stalked either.

Here is a blog about a baby manatee that was captured last year:

Nairaland / General / Re: SEUN, If You Ignore This - Then You Have Personal Issues by itstpia8: 2:21pm On May 20, 2016
Ok, the issues here are:

Are manatees commonly eaten in parts of Nigeria?

Are they found in parts of Nigeria?

If the answer to number one is yes, then eod.

If no, where/why was this captured and why was it shown on nairaland specifically?

Number 3 is on point, unless the parents are ok with the dressing.

As per topic, your thread title says Nigerian, then you went on to single out Yoruba, why?

Ehen Ehen..and im sure most of them will be from Igala land. Those pple are just too corrupt...Everything nah Padi padi tins but now that a Ebira is the gov dre secrets will be blown open. The fraud in SUBEB is even meagre when compared to that in KSU and KSP...Igala are not helping kogi in development at all

This is the reason why I said they should put another Igala man as governor.

Must Igala and Ebiras go to war simply because an Ebira man is in that position?

While you can minister at any point in time, it's better to have some training or teaching which you should undergo preferably by affiliating with an established church or bible school.
