Chaii!! Just look at this foolish epistle from this nyamuri flat.head!! You generalized by calling northern region parasites irrespective of those doing well but when it came to the potopoto/hiv/erosion ravaged region, you tried to justify it

The SE are doing abysmally bad , to the extend that ur comparing ur region to a war torn region, how embarrassing and pathetic is that

The likes of Yobe, Borno and adamawa under insurgency for a decade now are doing better than glorified SE slums!!

There is no such thing as active warfare in SE!! Is just a figment of ur imagination to divert attention from the dreadful, awful, terrible, woeful and pitiful situation u find urself.. hold ur government responsible for once!!

Looking at the report, one would understand why the regional factories there was shut down in a bid to focus more on what they derive from Nigeria.

As for East, despite all the Nigerian active warfare on her Economy, some are doing well. Abịa is just a disgrace. I won't blame Abia state Government but the people because a wise man Said "If the Government is made up of fools, then the electorates are well represented"

Which man are you talking about?
NaijirianKing:
It wasn't just Easterners, it was also Northerners, that man also had a policy where every Northerner was labeled a "beggar" and detained. Many Northerners suffered in silence under that man's regime. Many have never forgotten what he did to fellow Muslims. That is if he is even a Muslim, many of them profess Islam, but treat their fellow Muslims without regard.

Northerners invested more in Lagos than any other tribe. It was the North that made Lagos the capital instead of Kaduna, which in hindsight should have been made the capital. It was this designation by the North that made Lagos what is is today, even up until now you have Dangote investing in Lagos, in years time, these people will turn around to call the North backward and other unprintable names. Imagine.

It is good that many of us are now online in these spaces to see how these people truly view us and we are wiser. We will deal with them at the appropriate time. 2023 is not far.

Very useless set of people! Foolish, arrogant and myopic, most of them think they know it all.. the way they talk about South, one would have thought it's some sort of dubai!! Most of them live in inner villages/local government area, they have never travelled beyond their region.. their level of exposure is very shallow, most of them rely on media

I was shocked the first time I visited Abia state, umauhia.. they barely have reasonable roads, most of them had potholes.. I shock my head in awe, because I have heard so much about South, and how developed it is like Dubai

Today, Yobe is safer than IMO and Anambra states;
Gombe, Bauchi, Jigawa and Kano are among the safest 10 states in Nigeria and Jigawa and Gombe can take the first and second top of the list. You have never step ur foot out of ur zone and have the gut to judge others? PoliticsAyu: PDP In Dilemma Over Balancing by ItsTutsi(op): 11:30am On Oct 16, 2021
FOLLOWING the northern caucus’ adoption of Professor Iyorchia Ayu as its choice for the national chair of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the main opposition party is now faced with the dilemma of how to ensure regional balancing in offices.

With the emergence of the former Senate President, a section of the party is worried about the implications of having its two most important positions, the National Chairman and the National Secretary, occupied by Christians.

The National Secretary position has already been zoned to the South East, which is unlikely to field a Muslim for it. Social media users sympathetic to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have since Thursday, when Ayu was announced as the preferred candidate for the PDP chairmanship, been playing up the perception that the opposition party has confirmed its status as a southern Christian political party, despite the former ruling party’s claim to be the only truly national party.

Party source told Saturday Tribune that this has become a source of concern among some critical stakeholders.

“The only concern is the image this thing would give, particularly in the North, which is to say, they have the Chairman as a Christian, they also have the National Secretary as a Christian.

“Because in the estimation and calculation of the APC, they have always wanted to give the impression in the North that the PDP is a southern party,” a member of the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) told Saturday Tribune.

However, it was gathered that the party may be looking towards the adoption of the report of the Governor Bala Mohammed-led 2019 Election Review Committee, which recommended that the presidential ticket of the PDP should be merit-based and thrown open.

Meanwhile, the ruling APC and opposition PDP are finally fine-tuning their strategies for victory in the 2023 general elections, with the election of new leaders to steer their affairs in the crucial build-up months to the official opening of the race.

At the heart of their strategies is the twin issue of zoning of the presidency and gladiators scheming to entrench themselves as either kings or kingmakers in their parties and political spaces.

Only political parties are empowered to nominate candidates for elections in Nigeria, with the refusal of the lawmakers to insert independent candidacy into the rule book and tension is now mounting in the two major parties, considering that those in charge of party structures at state and federal levels would go into the nomination battle with an advantage.

Apart from internal contests for the soul of each of the parties, both platforms are also into what would amount to a waiting game to see which of them would move first in a certain geopolitical direction regarding zoning of national offices and ultimately the presidency.

In zoning national offices, the PDP has upped the stake by leaving its presidential field wide open to all the geopolitical zones in the country, including the North Central that produced the consensus national chairman, Professor Iyorchia Ayu, a long-standing ally of the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar

The desire of the Adamawa moneybag to seek the presidency again, after the failure of 2019, is not hidden.

With Ayu, expected to officially clinch the plum Wadata job on October 30 when the national convention of the opposition party is slated to hold, Atiku is considered closer to the ticket again than most of his Northern brothers like former Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Governors Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State and Mohammed Bala of Bauchi State. It is said that part of the agreement that produced Ayu is being put on quit notice, which would be triggered once a Northerner emerges the party’s presidential standard-bearer.

While the decision not to preclude the North from seeking Aso Rock again after President Muhammadu Buhari’s eight-year occupation has reportedly cooled agitation within the PDP, the suspicion that Atiku and his men are working to certain answers is said to be creating an uneasy feeling in the South, particularly the South West.

The zone, which is the only one out of the six not to have produced the national chairman of the party since 1998, was earlier seen coasting to an easy victory before the table was turned and the seat returned to the North after the expiration of Uche Secondus’s tenure.

After Goodluck Jonathan’s presidency, it is being read that zoning of the presidential ticket for the opposition party would mean returning it to the North, though Atiku was also the beneficiary of the same thinking in 2019.

The concern among Southern leaders of the PDP, including South East and South South, is said to be the perceived ease the former VP is turning the platform to himself and his group, which may impact how the state chapters would fare going forward.

Aside from Peter Obi and the sudden interest of the party in re-fielding former President Goodluck Jonathan when APC began to publicly woo him, discomforting silence has greeted what should be the presidential field in the South.

PoliticsRe: Buni Clan Vs Tinubu Clan by ItsTutsi(m): 10:11am On Oct 15, 2021
How do u explain why all the APC chairmanship candidates are northerners?

I agree with most of the things u said, but I defer with presidential candidate coming from the north.. I think Buni camp are planning on another candidate not from Tinubu/SW camp
Zetra7:
First , I will like to say that Jagaban of Borgu have paid his dues in Nigeria context of politics and therefore have every right to contest for the presidency. Whether he wins or not is left for the people of Nigeria to decide.
( My opinion - He better not win, Nigeria needs to start getting serious as a country).

But then, the keys to the throne of APC presidential nominee now lies solely on the House of Buni, this clan given an assignment by the President Buhari have surpassed every expectation and benchmark.

During the monsterous rule of Adams Oshimole of the Tinubu Clan, it was an all out war between those for Jagaban presidency and those against, Tinubu's clan was so brutal that it threaten the existence of APC as a party. Many left , this clan did not spare even sitting or past governors , Ambode felled but after the boomarang move of Gov Gowdin Obaseki , the chicken came home to roast.

This lead to the rise of the Buni clan initially headed by Gov Buni, Gov Bagudu and Gov Badure. These men have secretly built a strong clan more powerful than the Tinubu Clan yet not despising anyone (The smiling assassins).

Within a year, this clan have proved themselves, harvesting top powerful politicians from PDP and other political parties and integrating even the hidden enemies of the Tinubu Clan , over 3 governors and still counting, many senators and countless representatives not to talk about strong politicians.

You need to meet Mai Buni, his smile alone and his speech reflects a man who is sincere and straightforward. Today with an armanda of politicians in his clan and with the blessings of the President Buhari (who as a man proud of his son welcomes every prominent member the brought to their side), it will be fair to say the Buni clan are now well positioned to seize the party Machine at the next convention, this is the biggest headache of the Tinubu clan.

The most surprising feat of this clan is the silent move to convince majority of the southeasterners which is part of the ultimate grand plan. The rational is that the fall of SE to APC will trigger a Domino effect in the SS.

The Tinubu clan despite this great achievements and plan are not impressed nor happy. The more the merrier is not the language of this clan as they believe the more members the less they can control..

You see, in the grand plan of Tinubu clan, SW with the North( with exception of NC) should continue their love affair, same formula that brought Buhari. Tinubu clan care less of the NC, SE and SS therefore Buni feat is simply scary to their prospect.

It was long epistle but will summarize with the ultimate plan of the Buni clan. As it stands with PDP, Atiku is most likely going to get the party ticket with still Peter Obi as the VP, Buni clan understand that the current feeling in the North, the masses still want to equate the southern hold of power since 1999. For the records , the North needs another 4 years to equate it.

Buni clan wants to field a Northerner and also a VP from the east, the leaders of the SW knows the plot, that's why there was a huge cry to zone the presidency to the south.

In conclusion, the love marriage between the North and the SW is ending and just like every relationship, one feels betrayed and another feels it's time to move.

Note - Be fair, objective and analytical with this post, no calling names or emotional, let's start acting like a literate society.....

The realities on ground have changed! Governors don't win elections anymore, people are wiser now.. Governors leverage on rigging to manipulate elections in their favor, but thinks have changed that's why the best SE could deliver to Buhari was 25% in some states in spite of their desperation to help him

If the North population decide to vote for a northerner, there is very little the governors can do about it... and how sure are you northern governorstate won't vote their own like how they did against GEJ

By Dirisu Yakubu – Abuja
Ahead of its October 31 national elective convention, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Thursday, took a significant step towards a possible hitch-free exercise following the emergence of Dr Iyorchia Ayu as the consensus chairmanship candidate of the North.

Ayu’s emergence was a product of intense lobby and reconciliation across board which led to withdrawal from the race of two other contestants, Ibrahim Shema and Senator Abdul Ningi.

Vanguard gathered that Ningi, former leader of the Senate was dragged to the race by Governor Bala Muhammed of Bauchi state to scuttle the aspiration of Senator Suleiman Nazif, incumbent deputy national chairman (North) of the PDP.

As a result, Ningi joined former Katsina state governor, Ibrahim Shema who had earlier secured the nomination of the North-West. With all three zones gathered at the Bauchi state Governor’s lodge, supporters of Ayu made up of Ortom, former Senate Presidents, David Mark, Bukola Saraki and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, BoT of party, Senator Walid Jibrin amongst others, went into private meeting with Shema and Ningi, both of whom promptly opted out of the race, paving way for the emergence of Ayu.

Addressing journalists at the event, Fintiri assured party faithful of greater days ahead for the PDP, declaring that the consensus reached to settle for Ayu as the chairmanship candidate of the North, makes all contestants winners and not losers.

He said: “Distinguish Senator Iyorchia Ayu has emerged as a consensus candidate of the North. With this, we are fully prepared, we are ready. We will be talking with our colleagues from other parts of the country, especially the South so that they can see reasons for this consensus candidate and give us support during the October 30 and 31 convention of PDP.

“There is no victor, no vanquished in this meeting. We all came out united. Out of the three Northern contestants that all the three zones produced, the candidates themselves in the spirit of unity and togetherness, in the spirit of ensuring that PDP emerges and benefits from our efforts, so that we can win together for Nigerians the 2023 general elections, chose Ayu.

“All of them were immensely qualified but through discussion and reconciliation, we have emerged with a consensus that was endorsed by the candidates themselves. There was no election ande there was no selection

On his part, Dr. Ayu pledged to quickly come up with policies that will give the PDP a new face, after the convention.

He said: “It is my singular honour to accept the responsibilities which has been put on my shoulders from the North. I believe that at the end of the day, it will not only be the North, but it will be about all Nigerians. The PDP will be back to its winning ways and we will work tirelessly after the convention to rebuild the party to take over power to rebuild the country.

“I believe all Nigerians miss the PDP government. Our 16 years moved this country forward. We intend to work together with all the leaders, not only in the North but across the country to reposition this country for the next generation of Nigerians.

“It will be an all inclusive administration of the party. We will work collectively to produce policies which will be acceptable to all Nigerians. Today, our currency is the weakest in the world. Even the Somalians are better than us in Africa.

“We will work hard to solve the issue of insecurity. I want to thank the leaders of the North who are united, determined and who are willing to work with me. I am a foundation member of this party. I worked in the party before, but I know that you cannot do it alone.

“We shall work as team and I believe with the support of Nigerians, who have suffered in the hands of a party that does not exist, of a party that does not care for the youths of Nigeria, of a party that doesn’t care for anybody but themselves, we shall achieve victory and administer this country to the greater glory of God.”

The meeting was attended by top politicians from the three Northern geo-political zones of North Central, North-East and North-West including Aminu Tambuwal, Samuel Ortom, Tanimu Turaki, Ibrahim Dankwambo among others.
