Where are our landed seniors? I so much love coming to Living in Canada thread to read and draw experience from our landed immigrants but it seems they are now faced with reality. Please I'd like to understand what's taking your time and making it almost impossible for you guys to come on here and drive your discussions as usual. Could getting a job be the issue, or accommodation, are commodities and other life necessities expensive in Canada which most certainly would take a toll on your proof of fund or are things not just working out as expected? Please get on here and share your experience.

Oh dear so you graduated from Uniport! Not I, but my spouse recently completed her Masters there. Its been a daunting task to conclude her ECA with WES. Please Hephgirl, how did you go about the verification process with Uniport, and how long did it take them to verify your transcript with WES? Thank you.

In 2014 I read from WES website that they do not evaluate academic records from UNIPORT. I don't know if this position has changed.
They do accept Uniport transcript but the "verification process takes like forever. I just want to know if anybody here has successfully verified theirs with the school. Please someone should advise me.

Please who has had his or her WES verification request to University of Port Harcourt completed? Uniport verification is taking so much time, please help!

Update on this for those of us upgrading or intend to upgrade for licensing purposes.

After submitting my application on 8th October, it was still showing the documents I need to send but I decided to be patient. On 10th October, it was updated to 'all documents received' and then on 11th October, it has changed to 'all documents reviewed and accepted', completion scheduled for 19th October now.

So I guess our ECA was ICAP all along because they didn't even do any verification from my schools again.
Good

Interest upfront is the normal procedure.

Though, Sometimes they will debit all principal and pay you principal + interest only after maturity. (that's the re-invest interest option).

So ask them which one they did.
I checked my email inbox and found the credit notification sitting right inside it since yesterday evening! Thanks for helping.

Please, is there any FUTO graduate who has verified their result successfully with WES?

Did WES accept ONLY your statement of result or did they insist you provide your degree certificate.

I don't want to make the same mistake I made with IQAS.

Thanks guys for all the help.
Yes, WES will accept either of the docs so long as it is clearly scanned. It should be legible.

I doubt if WES will be wrong in advising you that they've sent a verification request to your school. I'll advise you to beckon on both your school to search for the verification request that was emailed or mailed, and beckon on WES to resend the verification request assuming the school cannot find the first request that was sent. Spend time with your school handlers to ensure that they truly search for the verification email/mail. Use WES Twitter handles. They reply DM's. Goodluck.

I was almost in a similar fix but then I remembered reading a book - Take the Risk - by Ben Carson where he gave four questions that should aid decision making. I'd give my opinion but since the decision is yours to make, answer the questions and I believe what you will do lies in the answers;

What is the best thing that will happen if you fill in pseudo details? Get ITA with next draw, proceed to apply and eventually become a citizen.

What is the worst thing that will happen if you fill in pseudo details? You might get a 5 year ban for misrepresentation.

What is the best thing that will happen if you don't fill in pseudo details? You don't get banned, later get ITA and proceed with your application.

What is the worst thing that will happen if you don't fill in pseudo details? You miss the next draw or a few more draws, CRS shoots up, you might have to wait a couple more months before you receive ITA.

Choice is yours to fill or not to, and ultimately if you want to take the risk of waiting few months as against a potential 5 years wait.

Cheers.
Your writings provide succinct explanations for rules of CIC. I'll just Holon! Ciao!!

Actually according to their website, they have the basic course by course and they have what they call ICAP... Basic doesn't store verified transcripts while ICAP does.

Those guys do not reply mails, just one auto generated response!
Your ECA report is already an ICAP service level. Pass the information to APEGA.

WES has refused to help me and I have spent a lot. I have to go with the most suitable alternative.
How do you mean you've spent a lot, and how is WES not helping you? They do what we ask and pay them to do for us. Plus, I wouldn't advise you to expend another funds on IQAS ECA, work with WES until you have your ECA. Tweet at them, fax them via Hellofax, call them if you can, etc., they must attend to your case.

IQAS, ICES but WES appears to be highly patronized amongst the three companies.

Doing this will amount to ineligibility. The VO is likely to determine that you should not have been awarded the points that earned you the ITA as having an ECA for a foreign degree is one of the requirements for Express entry and contributes over 150 points to CRS.
Bear in mind that we all know the outcome of ECA's but not the completion date. So, assuming the accompanying spouse WES ECA has been completed while that of the PA is yet to be completed, can't the PA use the WES Reference No plus the "date of EOI" as ECA completion date, to revert post ITA?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by ItsYourFriend: 6:19pm On Oct 07, 2017
hiscules:
The PA MUST have ECA for you guys to have ITA. On the accompanying spouse having ECA afterwards, there is no impact at all as long as the total CRS has landed you an ITA

Although, depending on your age and other factors coupled with the current CRS cut off hanging around 43..... ,its advisable that both spouses get their ECAs
Considering that the accompanying spouse has a completed ECA, is it possible for the PA to use their WES Reference number with just any date whilst expressing interest to apply, and then change this date post ITA, after ECA completion?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by ItsYourFriend: 5:47pm On Oct 07, 2017
hiscules:
yes as long as the funds is from an account that your and your spouse jointly own and not a 3rd party.

2. I believe your ECA completion post ITA will not have any impact. I take it that the PA in your case already has ECA Pre-ITA
Let's say the accompanying spouse has ECA pre ITA. Will the PA getting ECA post ITA be detrimental in any way?
