Where are our landed seniors? I so much love coming to Living in Canada thread to read and draw experience from our landed immigrants but it seems they are now faced with reality. Please I'd like to understand what's taking your time and making it almost impossible for you guys to come on here and drive your discussions as usual. Could getting a job be the issue, or accommodation, are commodities and other life necessities expensive in Canada which most certainly would take a toll on your proof of fund or are things not just working out as expected? Please get on here and share your experience. |
H mate. Pls check your email. codew0rks: |
Hephgirl:Oh dear so you graduated from Uniport! Not I, but my spouse recently completed her Masters there. Its been a daunting task to conclude her ECA with WES. Please Hephgirl, how did you go about the verification process with Uniport, and how long did it take them to verify your transcript with WES? Thank you. |
Kenon1:They do accept Uniport transcript but the "verification process takes like forever. I just want to know if anybody here has successfully verified theirs with the school. Please someone should advise me. |
Please who has had his or her WES verification request to University of Port Harcourt completed? Uniport verification is taking so much time, please help! |
mukhtar4u:Good |
Investnow2017:I just saw the credit notification in my email inbox. Thank you. |
Reyus:I checked my email inbox and found the credit notification sitting right inside it since yesterday evening! Thanks for helping. |
Hi all. I investment in treasury bills yesterday with FBN and the money left my account almost immediately. Please I'd like to ask here at what point would the interest be paid into my account? I've been waiting to receive this alert. |
MysteryBud:Yes, WES will accept either of the docs so long as it is clearly scanned. It should be legible. |

Hey! Did you graduate from FUTO? |
elfmann:Bros I been think am fa! I been no wan pay that 85 CAD but I just say make I join the bandwagon! If I'm to do it all over again, gaskia I go use standard delivery. I do that 85 gees for two! Thats a whooping 50k!!! It makes no sense whatsoever. |
ItsYourFriend:Cc: dchamp19 |
elfmann:lol @elfmann... No be so o! Hey buddy, for your investment, your certificate will do. |

I doubt if WES will be wrong in advising you that they've sent a verification request to your school. I'll advise you to beckon on both your school to search for the verification request that was emailed or mailed, and beckon on WES to resend the verification request assuming the school cannot find the first request that was sent. Spend time with your school handlers to ensure that they truly search for the verification email/mail. Use WES Twitter handles. They reply DM's. Goodluck. |
Kontagious:Your writings provide succinct explanations for rules of CIC. I'll just Holon! Ciao!! |
mukhtar4u:Your ECA report is already an ICAP service level. Pass the information to APEGA. |
12go:How do you mean you've spent a lot, and how is WES not helping you? They do what we ask and pay them to do for us. Plus, I wouldn't advise you to expend another funds on IQAS ECA, work with WES until you have your ECA. Tweet at them, fax them via Hellofax, call them if you can, etc., they must attend to your case. |
hiscules:I hear you. ![]() |
12go:IQAS, ICES but WES appears to be highly patronized amongst the three companies. |
dtaminator:Bear in mind that we all know the outcome of ECA's but not the completion date. So, assuming the accompanying spouse WES ECA has been completed while that of the PA is yet to be completed, can't the PA use the WES Reference No plus the "date of EOI" as ECA completion date, to revert post ITA? |
hiscules:Considering that the accompanying spouse has a completed ECA, is it possible for the PA to use their WES Reference number with just any date whilst expressing interest to apply, and then change this date post ITA, after ECA completion? |
hiscules:Let's say the accompanying spouse has ECA pre ITA. Will the PA getting ECA post ITA be detrimental in any way? |
I must commend everybody here for your positive contributions. We've got lots of interesting read here. |
Newdaddy7:You do not need this online course. Sincerely, you can learn everything you wanna know on Nairaland. You can begin by going through the thread from page 0. Read and ask questions when you have to, and you'll be guided accordingly. Between, google is your friend! |
Please can an investment certificate in treasury bill from a new joint account suffice as POF? Will editing EE profile, post ITA to reflect ECA completion date gotten post ITA impact in any way? |
Someone should kindly advise; between Stanbic IBTC and First Bank for Secondary Market Tbills, which is better? |
mamatwiny:Good for you. I wish I can get similar offer or an offer that's slightly lower than that from secondary market! |

Thank you for the kind words. By the way, I collected my Test Report Form (TRF) yesterday.
