QSola: $5000 You don't mean it! How come I've not been able to pay $2080CAD since yesterday? I called First connect today from my station, they thought it had secured code issue (OTP), they got it fixed, but when I retried the transaction, it says "Transaction Declined". I was advised to come and fill an indemnity form because they think RICC payment portal doesn't allow second level authentication. Please what am I doing wrong and what can I do differently? |

mex551: many thanks. Just one more question. Do I need to pay three fees of 68k each to WES to verify the three credentials because each of them is from a different sch? No, you don't have to. You have to pay a one time assessment fee irrespective of the number of credentials you have on file. |

mex551: Hello E family, I have some questions that I need clarification. I read somewhere here that HND can substitute for 2canadian qualifications. My question is this, I have OND from IMT, HND from Oko, BSC from IMSU. How do I combine them, knowing fully well that my OND and HND are from different schools. Also my b.sc is a 2 year thing, because of direct entry. How do I use all these different cert. to claim 2 or more Canadian qualification. These 3 credentials if combined will give you an equivalent of 2 or more certs...you may as well combine only two (OND & HND) if processing and verifying transcripts will become an issue. |

mamacajah: Bros, hmm..see picture below..it is already done...no impossibility about it.. My dear, except CIC does steady back to back draws with the number of persons invited slightly increased, this score will continue to hover around the 440s. Express Entry awareness is on the high! |

Emmasonic4me: Hmmmh. What do you mean by its not possible? I just saw the tie-breaking stuff: March 26, 2018. My first impression was that 444 persons were invited to apply from the pool of April 4 distribution of candidates as displayed on the CIC website. Obviously the number of persons entering the pool with high CRS scores keeps increasing by the day. |

TEECANN: Wawawuu!!
The downward trend of ITA cutoff has started! 444 today with 3500 invited.
If they maintain the range of 3500- 3900 invitations per round consistently henceforth, even a 425 CRSist will collect ITA.
BTW, wish me well as I go back into the trenches on Sunday and next week Saturday for IELTS to improve my score. All I pray for is LRWS (8,8,7.5,7.5) and with that score, an ITA miracle will be birthed for us.
I pray to come back and give a good testimony.
It will end for me & family (& yours) in praise IJN! Guy you dey check this thing at all? How did they arrive at 3500 people invited? Go back and look at the number of persons in the pool as of April 4 and see whether it is possible for CIC to invite 3500 people. |

senors: I initiated my ECA through WES last year December, process of which is yet to complete due to the NASU strike. Although, I am hoping to have my transcript sent to WES by next week. While completing the WES online process, I selected the ECA should be done only for my MBA but now I am considering adding my BSc also. Is this still possible without having to pay new fees to WES? Yes, you can add your BSc without having to pay an extra charge. But remember that you will have to verify both degrees. I suffered a similar fate of having to verify both degrees. Wes is about to conclude work on the Masters. What would I have done differently? Evaluate only Masters degree.Someone should kindly advise on most effective and efficient way to get this done. Thank you. |

Obadunni: Hello all, thanks for the good works here.
Please I need your help. I am a lawyer with masters in Law. Therefore I have three degrees, my bachelors degree (LL.B). Law School Degree (BL) and Masters Degree (LLM). However, for my express entry application, I did ECA only for my Masters degree (LLM) which is equivalent to Canadian masters degree.
My question is this, while filling the studies section in express entry profile, should i:
1. Fill my Masters degree only and say yes to ECA and don't fill my bachelors and law school degree OR You did ECA for your Master's degree, meaning you're earning points for it, use it and then state the other qualifications you have under personal history. 2. Fill all the three degrees but say Yes to ECA for my masters degree only and answer NO to my Bachelors and Law school degree.
3. Third question, please what is number of hours for NYSC work experience? I want to use it but i don't know the number of hours to write
Thanks for your kind response. I really appreciate you all. |

Elfmannisback: He shld first check if WES knows the institute and see what its equivalence is. Not the Wes I know. I doubt whether Wes would respond positively to such query. They may ask him to submit an application/transcript for evaluation, after which they can deduce what his fate will be. Aren't they in business as you and I? Telling him/her what the outcome will be without seeing transcript will be tantamount to guess work. No serious organization does that. Anyway, you can do them an email before burning cash! I understand where Elfmann is coming from. |

flosk: Please has anyone evaluated a diploma from redeemed bible institute. After the programme, post graduate diploma in theology with merit was written on the certificate. Does it qualify for a diploma with wes. The transcript is about to be sent to wes but we are contemplating registering for a diploma with open university all in a bid to qualify for 2 or more degree. I haven't seen it discussed on this forum. Your case might just be different. Give it a go, after all, there's no harm in trying. |

Lufthansa: House! How do I claim point for work experience where I get paid in cash. I can always secure a reference letter but there is neither a bank statement nor pay slip to show for remuneration as we get paid in cash. Of course you can. If need be, use LOE to tell, but as a minimum requirement remember that for CIC, your reference letter must be on a company letterhead, it should carry the company address, website, email, phone number and will perhaps carry the company stamp. Payslip/bank statement of account showing salary payment is just another way of proving that you really worked and you were paid. If you can get a reference letter in the above stated format, you should be fine. Use your LOE to explain further that you were paid cash or I'd advise you say nothing concerning it, just submit the reference letter. On the reference letter sef u fit state am say u were paid cash, but I don't think it is necessary. |

On a lighter note though, I've come to see that finding information on Nairaland as in doing research can be difficult at times, somewhat confusing. A newbie or someone who is not very good with computer may find it difficult to find answers to questions on here. Google is your best bet. At google search bar, just insert Nairaland as a keyword to whatever it is that you're looking for. Please the owners of Nairaland should make finding answers to queries easy. Just make it straight to the point. |

Finally, there is light at the end of the tunnel! See excerpt from thenationonline: The Federal Government has agreed to source for about N8 billion to settle the Earned Allowance of striking non teaching staff of Nigerian Universities within the next five weeks.
The workers have therefore been asked to suspend their ongoing industrial action by Wednesday, March 14 to allow full activities to return to the campuses.
“The Honourable Minister of Labour and JAC leadership agreed that the ongoing strike would be suspended by Wednesday 14th March 2018, after due consultation with their National Executive Councils (NECs). No Worker would be victimized on account of this industrial action.”
