Dude, when you take a leap and post on an online forum then expect to hear all sorts of responses.

Not all of us believe in your hogwash forum prayers, so what's left to critique is your insensitive ploy in seeking attention at the expense of your mother.

A simple "look what a danfo did to my car" with a picture without your mum trapped inside the car would be sufficient for a conversation.

I'm not trying to tell you what to do but at the same time don't try to tell us what to do.
bros!!!

Thanks all the same.

Thank God!

2 observations however

1. That is not a truck but a danfo bus. Danfo buses rarely experience that kind of break failure. The story you told is different from what is portrayed in the pics.

2. How was your mum trapped when the driver's side was free? Why did she not come down from that side after you dropped?

It is well!
It is well with you and your family!

My mum was in a shock that was y she was needed to be brought out!

True,it was a danfo bus, anxiety make me mis type, abeg make una no ves!
That bus had brake failure hence the accident, I don't see any reason why you feel I misconstrued the event, brother and that was what happened and that was what happened!!!

Lastly, no machine can be 100 percent efficient (physics 101)

Young man, stop defending what the OP did. He knowing fully well his mom has a history of HBP still left his mom trapped in the wreck, went to the front of the car, took pictures of the wreck JUST to SIMPLY satisfy insurance, ekelebe aka boys in black aka olopa aka po po and you blood thirsty gory sight hungry picture or 'adontbelieve' it crew of Nairaland. That OP is to me a wacko and should be tried for 'attempted criminally negligent manslaughter'.
Siena:
No, I wasn't present. But I'm I telligent enough to know he did not get his mother out of the car, ensure she was safe, then shove her back in to take pictures.
Or did he? With balls of concrete swinging between his legs, anything's possible.
Guys calm down na! Don't be impossible...

We tried to bring her out from the driver's side (that is y you will see that her seat is tilted backwards) and we found that it was going to be difficult. The policemen advised that I moved the car away so that we can know if she can pass her door side. And I was advised to take pictures before the car was moved, so that there would be no arguments later!

I kept the pics on NL so that people can help me thank God and also pray for my family..

Not for you guys to come here and start saying things that are not.

All the same, I thank you guys and may accident never be your portion in Jesus's name

I thank God on your behalf. I visited Ikorodu yesterday and when I got to this spot I noticed a truck laden with sand or gravel that was in a big dish. The location made me curious because it's exactly opposite where tanker exploded about 3weeks ago. Thank God for your salvation.

Something fast should be done about a speed breaker that is constructed on that road immediately after Mobil filling station, it's done halfway and the way motorists avoid it is a recipe for disaster.
its true my brother!

The policemen told me about the incident, the same thing happened (failed brake) and the driver was not so fortunate, and days after another happened, in fact, some of the butchers that came out to help told me similar incidents happen like 3 times weekly, it is the steep that is the major problem, and there is also a problem of 'overloading' of these vehicles (like in my case), government needs to really do something about it!

And that speed bump that is cut in half (by residents, so I heard) is a complete recipe for disaster. God help us all!!!

Hope the whole issue didn't raise your Mum's bp too much?
Why is She leaning her head back in that photo?
I had to lower the chair backwards so that she could relax before she engaged in the cumbersome exiting from the driver's door.

She is ok and her bp is fine thanks to God

There's still somone in the car when you took pics!!!. Where will minor scratches come from in this accident? Brake failed gearbox busted? Guy u can lie o!
my brother may accident never be your portion!

I really don't understand people anymore, why would you think I would lie about being involved in an accident? Or did I drop my account number for donations?

I never mentioned big truck, I said a 'truck', maybe I should have just said 'danfo' and you would have been satisfied!

The minor scratches occurred from the bursting of glass windows!

If you have been involved in an accident before, you would know that if you are right, you would have to take pictures before the vehicles are moved.

If you read the story well, I said the truck driver had a brake failure and started to move backwards of the hill, those that stays/knows that area would understand perfectly well, similar accidents have been occurring there!

Lastly! I really don't need you to believe, if you can't thank God for me, then really, no need to insult or comment at all, I was only using this medium to thank God, don't bother to believe,ok?

Thank God for your life, glad u r safe. But what about the truck driver? Did he at least say why he was driving backwards?
the eediot had an over load!

He was driving with gear one and as he was approaching the top of the hill, the car refused to go forward and the brake failed!, the bus started coming back, the gear box busted and he was at the lord's mercy!

Check out the pics you would discover he was heading to the canal (the full load did not afford him to see his back), people were many at the bustop (that bustop is a meat market), if my car did not block him, he would have killed people at the bustop, and also himself (according to police findings), so I am like a hero!

He has taken my car to the mech and taken full responsibility!

@ seun , lalasticlala. Help me thank God by doing the needful...

I sincerely thank God for my life! I thank God for my mum's life!

My mum insisted I took her to the hospital, she had a hard time yesterday having her good night sleep (as her BP has been on the high), I had to take permission off work in order to take her...

Our mission was to go to general hospital (at ikorodu, opp high court), we left home at about 11.30 am.

We were coming from ebute (I stay at alogba estate), as we passed the mobil filling station and about climbing the hill towards general hospital, I noticed a big truck coming with full speed with its back, I immediately swerved to the on coming car's lane (fortunately there was no car coming), somehow, the truck swerved in that direction and all I could hear was a loud GBOA!!!, my mum was trapped at the driver seat and was in a serious shock, I ran down (instinctively) to start waving all the cars down(so as not to hit my precious mum. It created a big traffic but alas, the police came to take the cars to one side.

Bottom line is, I am safe, and so is my mum, no injuries (except minor scratches), we thank the lord!

This is a true life story of a nairalander, and thousands of nairalanders have the same fate...

https://www.nairaland.com/2087778/federal-task-force-job-unofficially

Its about how politicians have once again used unemployed youths for their political ambitions ( in the form of federal taskforce recruitment), just last week, they passed a circular that it was no longer functioning and that we should all go for empowerment programs (how to make soaps, fufu, etc)

This is done after months of training under the sun

After spending so much on transport, etc

After missing out on other job opportunities...

Etc etc etc

I hereby challenge the youths, to unite together in one voice, and be heard...

Or we die in our usual silence.

All you have to do is let them know we are against oppression, and we deserve a better life...

Sign in the comment box below with the hash tag #I WANT TO BE HEARD

Let's throw aside our differences no, we can make a difference!
