My aged landlord wanted intimacy in exchange for rent! This spurred my need for my house in the city i worked in. My mum and siblings graciously gifted me a piece of land on which I built a bungalow with loans i got from my workplace. I gleefully sent his keys to him. |
Good morning nairalanders, Pls kindly tell me if tenants in an estate should pay separately for the pumping of water into their houses and what's the rate/modalities? Am getting tired of the light bill for pumping water for the tenants in my estate, note: the pump, tank and borehole belongs to me. New energy tariff is becoming unbearable. Thank you! |

My live in brother in law of whom we are agemates barged into my room unannounced this morning. I was totally naked & had to dive under the bed from the shame & shock. He stood there apologising that he didn't know i was in the room (we had met outside by the clothes line a short while ago). The most painful part is that my husband who was lying in d bed in the room didn't find it necessary to utter a word. When I confronted him, he said that shebi his brother had said 'sorry' I really don't know what to do. I feel let down by hubby's reaction & also ashamed about the whole incident. pls good folks, what do I do to redress the situation. thank you |
VanNistelrooy24:yes, *bed. thanx |

good morning good people of the forum. kudos to madam jethro & all other contributors. As an aspiring locally made greenhouse tomato farmer based in ilorin, i have learned a lot from this thread & i believe am good to go on a modest trial farm. pls I will be calling for help from the good people of the forum as I face my challenges while going along. my brother, of Doligeria Biosystems is an agricultural engineer who will help build my greenhouse. |
Am interested in starting production of greenhouse tomatoes pls I need to tap from your wealth of experience. Am at ilorin & am planning on converting my former poultry shed to d greenhouse. I was in egg production for many years & had to give it up lately due to exigencies of this period. Thank you |
Pls, am a poultry farmer with 7 years farming experience. I have decided to abandon poultry farming for now in favour of plantain plantation. I have good prospects to lease land in a village close to Ilorin. I should be very grateful for advice & guidance from here to enable me succeed in this venture. Thank you |
My landlord would begin disturbing with demand for payment calls the moment the rent expires. Rent increases yearly even though there is no water nor other facilities to warrant such. At a time, he increased the rent because the government tarred the access road to the house. I decided to build my own house when he became amorous! I suspended my project in my hometown and commenced a bungalow in the town I was living. I packed in after managing to floor, plaster and put in Windows and access doors only. My rent wasn't yet due when I left his house but I held on to the keys til well beyond due date! |
Alhamdulillah robbil alamin!!! Looking forward to downloading the lecture from Muslim Central. Praying too that he comes to Ilorin one day |
handie:I feel the same way on this, and many other issues affecting the country right now. Am sure PMB misses the military |

Having credit on my phone saved my car from being taken away by armed robbers in the dead of the night when they attacked my nine in July. While they were busy making so much noise breaking doors and windows, I was able to make several distress calls to people who called the police. By the time they finally broke in, I had hidden my phone but had to present the kids phone, my jewelry and the car key they demanded for. The police came as the robbers were about driving my 2006 Toyota corolla out of our gates, on sighting the police, they abandoned the car with the engine running, and jumped over our compound rear fence to escape. Ever since, I make sure I always have credit before going to bed! |
I was at an overcrowded branch of Guarantee Trust Bank to pay to a relation's account, and while on the queue, I began to wonder why people choose the bank that they have an account with! For me, I opened my Unity bank account because it was mandatory being a staff there then. Then I related with Gtb, makurdi branch because it was the only bank that my son could access from Abuja. I was at Ugbokolo then and had to travel up to makurdi, two and half hours away. There was no internet banking across banks that time. Upon retirement, I opened a first Bank account at Offa for business and personal being a newly opened branch at the time with very few customers and the service was highly personalised. I still maintain these accounts operating them all from Ilorin and on my mobile phone. Now, tell us, what is the story behind your choice of bank account? |
