4 single guys, all very close friends, 3 of them working in the same firm and all 4 of them are single, they all hang out after work all the time, gist, and get tipsy and drunk sometimes, non is promiscuous in nature except for 1, though they all individually have girlfriends who they have been dating for quite a while except for 1.
B4 I continue, WARNING: THIS STORY IS NOT INTERESTING; I’LL ADVICE U READ THE SUMMARY ABOVE AND SAVE URSELF THE TROUBLE OF GETTING BORED.

These four young and gentle men (I’m the youngest among all, 26, the eldest being 28) all share like terms[b], they all were enslaved (NYSC) the same year “2008”, [/b] three graduated from same university, two, same department, and all are living a slightly above middle class status with regards to leaving condition in the FCT, Abuja. (Translation for non FCT residents: they are big boys, shikena!)

I’m not going to expose the identities of anyone in this story, but I’ll try my best to give u an idea of their kind of persons (personalities).

Joseph(me) He is the one who has no work to do right now and instead of reading a book or doing something beneficial with his time, he is busy typing this whole load of crap even while he is in the office. He has been dating Esther {NOT NIGERIAN AND NOT REAL NAME} for 9 years now.

Charles 28, aje bota, huge but not muscular, baby faced,  met him in first year of uni, same dept, been close friends since then, he started dating Janet 2 years after we met. He is currently married to her (6 mnths old marriage). Did not use to do alcohol until we met, I’m not one that can be described as a bad person or influence but Janet hates me although she tries so hard to hide it, she hates me because Charles always listens to my advice and suggestions like “hey, bro watz up, it’s TGIF, lets go clubbing & offcourse, it’s going to be men only, no girlfriends! He wld be indecisive but at the end he wld go with the idea since everyone else (my other 2 pals) were up 4 it”. My Job description requires that I travel out of town from time to time, sometimes I spend up to a week at site, Janet would call me somtyms in the pretense to say hi, but she really want to know how long I’ll be out so she can be sure for how long she can have her BF(Charles) to herself (ladies and una tiny brains sef!)

Philip 28, slightly older than Charles, met him also in second year of uni, usually a quiet guy but can blow 2 much tori when hin don high! Has had series of gf’s since I met him, 3 I think, but was hooked on AgathaE since during service year, they are married also (6 months old marriage, two weeks after Charles and Janet’s). Contrary to Janet, Agatha likes me because I always tell her the truth about what the guys have been upto together without the girls, he and Agatha actually met through me, she was in my cds and I was eyeing her (even when I had a loving gf somewhere, na wa 4 we men sha), I eye her so tey we became friends but it did not go beyond that, I had to let Philip step in, to overcome tempteyshun.

Richard E: 28 also, same month as Philip, Now this is the Original Bad boy (although he thinks I shld be the one with that label amongst us, I however beg to differ), graduated from a South south university, not sure how many gf’s he has had as he is not usually a straight forward person, he lies to ladies a lot and he has trouble telling the truth even to his guy pals, can’t really say much about him but just that he is one h3ll of a lady hater, he says stuffs like, “every lady born after 1980 in Nigeria is a ho”, “I no go marry any girl wey dem born for Nigeria”, “I f0ck that chik so tey her pussey comot trowey for bed”. He is soooo sooo vulgar and he never shuts up, funny thing is that all the stories he tells us are always about how he did this chick, how he nack that babe bla bla bla, but we, his close pals no dey see the babes wey hin dey refer to oh!! We go just laff, leave mata to die. He is currently dating Barbara [b]NOT REAL NAME[/b] and we hope she can change him, we do see some signs sha.

I, Charles and Philip all work at the same firm but Charles and I are in the same dept. Richard runs his own Small IT firm.

I don’t believe in luv @ first site, h3ll I don’t even think I believe in the whole concept of luv itself, but 9 years in a relationship and no major break-ups, no reason to doubt loyalty to each other, I mean it’s got me thinking, sometimes, she says things like “honey, if we don’t end up spending the rest of our lives together, then it means one of us died along the way”, I wld just laff, but deep within me, I know I can never have the kind of feelings I have for her for any other lady, she grew up in her home country until after her secondary school then came to Nigeria for uni where we met (she has a dual citizenship, cos her mom is Nigerian and she was born here too). No offense meant, but she is not like the BB Demanding, Brazilian weave wearing type like most Nigerian girls out there, she’s is very content with whatever she gets and she refuses to allow me spend flamboyantly around her or on her.
My friends envy me because of her and they say things like “guy, if u no marry this girl after all the luv she don pour for your body, we go gather u beat u die”

Now these same friends are advising me not to even get married at all.

OK, Janet is a bit naggy in nature, but Agatha is a very good wife material or so I thought up until about six months ago, now my two supposedly married friends are never smiling when the reality which is going back to their wives at home creeps up, they are scared to go back home to their so called lovely wives, they dont discuss their marital problems in detail and I don’t pry but they warn me everyday in and out to stay single for as long as I can. Although I have plans on getting married b4 I get to 28 but it looks closer than I anticipated and now I’m beginning to get scared.

the question here is (am i supposed to be scared considering i have a lovely sole mate?)
