Please can someone send functional police email address or phone numbers where we can lodge complain ,may be IG's monitoring team.
they know what is going on. You think customs officials will just leave our bothers and then mount road blocks inside the country to extort money from citizens without their oga knowing about it? They know but they won't do anything about it because they know that nigerians will as asual complain and that's it. Like someone has shown us, these people in power need serious daily beating and harassment.

Why is this not making fp?

50 checking points.. For what now?
the thing is the check points are close to each other. Sometimes from one check point you can see the next one waiting for you ahead. What of the traffic jam that they cause?

Abuja to Lagos has more check point but you can't experience such only in the south, Awka to Enugu too.
they are not as brutal within the south east. It's their normal check points in the south east. They just ask for your license and all that but they are brutal along that ore/asaba axis. They are out for blood there. Na wao.

what if you are using torchlight phone?
they will still go through it to find maybe an sms they'll use to threaten you with. The best way is to buy these small phones and wipe everything from it. Just put in your sim card and only use it to answer calls.

you can call us whatever you want but the fact is see enugu, see abakaliki. No airport is needed in ebonyi while the one is enugu should've been upgraded. Misplaced priority.

Op, my younger brother experienced the same on 13th july, 2019 before Benin, they collected #30,000 from him because they saw messages from customers concerning money in his whatsapp and sms, they made him to use his atm on pos from their agent within their operating ground.they even slapped him and the worst part of it is they don't have name tag on them. We are finished in this country especially we Igbo's, go to the North they can't try this wickedness over there.
they can't try such in the north. O boy, i don't even know what to say anymore. Nigeria, chai!

You wrote a nice piece until at the end you decided to spoil it. We are all going thru shiiiit
didn't mean it like that. I know we all go through this shiit but it is worse along that lagos/onitsha express especially between that benin/asaba stretch. We are between a rock and a hard place in this country.

This is what I saw when I was travelling two weeks ago, these set of criminals doesn't use to be on uniform, with unmarked vehicles, no plate numbers, they operate freely because you don't have anything to hold the down, unfortunately no monitoring patrol team to check this criminals on illegal checkpoints, you can't find them anywhere else except along these lagos Benin High way
this means that armed robbers can easily dress like them and mount a check point also and then collect their own roger from travellers. I mean who could tell the difference.

This was sent to me on whatsapp by a friend. It was a voice message and the person that made the voice message was narrating his ordeal along the lagos/asaba express. He said everything in igbo but i thought i should share so that my igbo brothers and sisters know what to expect along that road. Here is what he said......

He just arrived from amsterdam and since the enugu airport has been closed he had to travel through road to the east from lagos. He said they left lagos around 5 am and between lagos and benin express they met the usual check points littered everywhere on that route but the situation changed when they got to benin by-pass. The checkpoints sort of tripled and they were stopped in each and every one of them. Because of the closure of enugu airport these police officers, army, sars, customs officials and others know that the road traffic to the east will increase.
What they do is they stop your car and asks everybody to get down and stand in a straight line. They will then ask for your phone and password, they will go through your phone and they must find something to implicate you with. Even a chat you had with someone about lending you money is enough for them and then the threats will follow. You either settle or get arrested. If you try to be strong headed they will threaten to shoot you right there and then. They were taking money from everyone and if you don't have enough money they will bring out their POS machine. Yes they are well prepared, they have POS machines, they have power banks incase your phone battery dies.
The guy said that when you pass the first check point you'll meet the second check point in less than 2 minutes and they'll do the same things again. This guy said he got to the east around 11pm, remember they left lagos at 5 in the morning. And between lagos and asaba they passed about 50 check points.
The worst part is that these people are ready to shoot if you so much as raise your voice against them or react angrily or harsh towards them. They know you are in the middle of the bush so no where to cry for help. And they are ready to implicate you with anything.

So guys here you have it, share this with people you know that use that route so that they know what to expect. When travelling through that road now make sure there is no discussion or chats about money on your phone, even a chat you sent to your mom or sister about money you sent to them. And please always make sure you don't react angrily towards them no matter how angry and frustrated you get.
Please share as it might save a life. Igbos are really going through shiiiit in this country.

Lalasti. Front page na. People need this information.

I love them both but i've always said that i will pick ronaldo over messi is just this. Ronaldo does not have to be good in any match to win it for you. He only needs one good cross, one good corner, one good pass, a little space in or outside the 18 yard box and boom.....he wins the match for you.

Bring your visionary, well schooled and eloquent candidate to come and contest again in 2023. Till then, shut the fucck up. Talk is cheap. Buhari has defeated your well schooled PhD holder Goatluck and your eloquent looter Atikuchukwu back to back. Come back in 2023 for another humiliation at the polls.

Why will I listen to Reno Omo-Kirikiri who is confused about your Jesus and our God in heaven?

Anyone that wants to see Ghana president goes straight to his office without the consent of the Chief of Staff. What then is the work of the Chief of Staff? Why create the office of the Chief of Staff? You need to go make investigation about how government runs. In Goatluck Jonathan's government, to see Goatluck, you go through the office of the First Lady Mama Peace because she was the real Chief of Staff and the real President. That is over now, go from state to state and discover that the Chief of Staff coordinates activities at the governor's office likewise the president

Go and check all the companies that left Nigeria to establish in Ghana, they are packing up because Ghanaians do not have the type of crazy money Nigerians have both clean and unclean money. So most things produced in Ghana are for export which carry additional charges. Toyota went to Ghana because Toyota and Japanese in general are afraid of contesting with Chienese who are saturating Nigeria's market. Toyota will regret going to Ghana, by the time the idiots wants to come to Nigeria, Chinese will not allow them.
your likes will still not vote for that guy you quoted. As for the rest of your write up here......total rubbish. Garri, rice, fuel, kerosene and the rest na all of us dey buy am together for the same price . So make you continue to dey support buhari. Nonsense.

How did you come up with the statistics that Igbos own the most business? Which research or analysis have you carried out to reach that conclusion.

Have you gone around the state in the federation to count the number of businesses to conclude? When you said business are you talking about the self employed only, retail business, wholesale business, agriculture, and etc.
it's like you are finding this difficult to comprehend. I said most igbos own businesses. I didn't say igbos own the most businesses. Read it again slowly maybe you'll understand better. Capiche?
