The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Monday warned that if any Igbo is killed in the North as a result of the quit notice
issued by Arewa youths, “Hausa-Fulanis will get a dose of their senseless attacks and stupidity back.”
IPOB, while issuing the threat warned the North that, “Biafrans of today are not the same breed as those they massacred in
1967 and 1970 at will, without retaliation.”
The pro-Biafra group also cautioned Arewa youths, saying they should be more civil in their utterances because “threats and
intimidation do not work with IPOB.” This was contained in a statement signed by the spokesperson of IPOB, Emma Powerful and sent to DAILY POST.
IPOB also lashed out at the Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso for asking Igbo leaders to publicly denounce the
secession struggle.
Kwankwaso had over the weekend asked leaders of the South East to denounce those clamouring for Biafra in a bid to show
sincerity to Nigeria’s unity.
Reacting to Kwankwaso’s call, IPOB in the statement said no Igbo leader allegedly “handpicked by Hausa-Fulanis in Aso Rock” can stop its struggle for secession.

Former Kano State governor, Senator Rabiu Musa kwankwaso (APC, Kano Central) yesterday said Igbo in the North cannot
leave the region because of their numerous investments.
He also said the size of the land Igbo presently occupy in the North is more than the entire South East geopolitical zone.
Speaking in an interview on the agitation for secession by Igbo groups and the quit notice by some northern groups, he said
none of the millions of Igbo in the North would support breakup of Nigeria.
“Igbo have nowhere to go. They have more assets in the North more than 80 percent or so of what the northerners have in the East. The land Igbo are holding in the North is more than the whole South East,” he said.
Kwankwaso, who chairs the Senate Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs, said the agitation at both sides
does not portray the country in good light among the comity of nations.
He said there was urgent need for all stakeholders in the country to put hands on deck to make peace saying, “The unity and
development of the country is key to all other things, therefore we will continue to stand by it. Therefore, I call on all to join
hands in ensuring that there is peace. We should use our resources to ensure that nobody raise hands to destroy the unity of the country. Talking of secession is going too far.
“Some people doing it because of their personal interest. I wouldn’t be surprised that the young man (Nnamdi Kanu) will contest
for an election in the next general elections. They started agitation to galvanize support and at the end, they would contest for
an election.”
Kwankwaso said during his tenure as governor, a layout known as ‘New Enugu’ was carved out in Kano for the Igbo, saying the
Igbo are more comfortable there than their states of origin. On the quit notice by some northern youths, he said the general consensus in the North was that the country is better as one
family.

The Afenifere Renewal Group (ARG) wednesday rejected a request by its sister organisation, Afenifere, that acting President
Yemi Osinbajo, should include the Yoruba nation in series of consultation he had with leaders from the North and South-east
geo-political zone.
Convening a consultative meeting with the Yoruba, the ARG, a pan-Yoruba organisation, demanded that the acting president
should set in motion the process that would lead to objective review of the 1999 Constitution to guarantee social justice and
fairness. The group which canvassed the position in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Mr. Kunle Famoriyo, commended Osinbajo
for the recent intervention he had been making in the last fortnight to calm frayed nerves and dousing tension in the polity.
In its statement, the group said the people of South-west geo-political zone did not need any consultative meeting with the
acting president as being demanded in some quarters.
The ARG noted that the Yoruba people “are never the agitators, and our aspirations have never lacked clarity since late Chief
Obafemi Awolwo published ‘Path to Nigerian Freedom’ in 1947.” It acknowledged Osinbajo’s intervention, which it said was “the first time in the history of Nigeria we are witnessing such
sincere confrontation of social malady through dialogue and democratic means.
“Before now, the federal government would have played the ostrich until the rising temperature hit the roof and then deploy
armed forces to quell tension across the federation.”
However, the group faulted a statement credited to the acting president that all the people of Nigeria irrespective of ideology,
race or religion, “have all agreed that Nigeria should remain one.” It, therefore, posed two salient questions “to the acting president as once asked by the late Chief Bola Ige. One, do we want to
remain as one country? Two, if the answer is yes, under what conditions? All Nigerians must answer the questions before we
can decide whether we can continue as a country.”
While it prayed for Osinbajo to succeed in dousing current tension, the ARG noted that the country remaining a single entity “is
not the contentious aspect of Nigeria’s nationhood. Where the task of building a sustainable nationhood begins is the second
question, which has remained unaddressed for the past five decades.” The group said answering the questions borders on reaching a consensus about a constitution that would guarantee the
inalienable rights of social justice and political freedom for every Nigerian, irrespective of ethnic or religious inclination.
“The 1999 Constitution, which was smuggled in as the condition for Nigeria’s existence, is nothing more than the
consummation of attempts to institutionalise the tools of social injustice and discrimination in Nigeria and therefore has to be
replaced,” ARG stated.
It, therefore, concluded that reaching consensus on the 1999 Constitution “is the only condition that can catapult Nigeria from its current ranking of red alert to sustainable democracies like Finland.
“We hope Nigeria can quickly achieve this feat and set example for other African countries as the entire continent does not
look good on the Fragile State Index,” the ARG explained.
On this ground, it charged all the governors of the South-west states “to be alive to their responsibilities by constantly taking in
the changing political dynamics of the nation such that their decisions and acts ensure the welfare, wellbeing, and security of
people in their jurisdictions.

Society of Nigeria, World Health Organisation, ONE Campaign, Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, Civil Society Organisations and the Tobacco Free
Kids based in Washington DC, United States. Public places where smoking is prohibited by law in Nigeria include: *child care facilities -

*Plazas. “The Federal Ministry of Health is committed to the fight to ensure a tobacco-free Nigeria, and will in the weeks and months

ensure that necessary supporting regulation is passed.”

Nice blog although I don't support Biafra but in terms of your blog SEO, there are some codes you can add to your template to make it SEO friendly. Also the onclick ad, is not SEO friendly. You have to do something about it. I will see what I can to help. But first make sure you have summited your blog site map to the various search engine also try to check if your custom robot is set since you are using blogger platform.
