that's the problem ,many nigerian girls feel that if they are dating you and they are not getting anything from you materially that they are cheap. They try make you pay for dating them by you, buying them ,phones,taking them out, buying them clothes,giving them money for their hair do, even asking for raw cash . Even if you dish this one ,how are you sure that the next one will be better. This is called experience,experience it,don't run yet.tell her you can't afford the phone now ,give her a date in the future that you will provide the phone that is if you want to. Talk with her,hear her out before you make your decision. You know i had a similar experience about a year ago.have gone out with the girl a couple of times before i declared my interest and her condition was that i would give her a phone ,she asked for nokia c 3 which was about #17,000,that time,i asked for six months to provide that and she said when i have the phone that i should come back. So i went my way.the one that i later dated after her didn't ask for anything initially but looking back i still spend for the over six months we dated that amount atleast times two.

I have been thrilled reading vivian chinasa's comments on threads ,she sounds mature and like a lady who knows her onions . I like how she goes about her business ,doesn't have time to trade insults with anyone and hardly picks offence with anyone. I admire her personality.she just say her mind and put her points across calmly.

I think you should listen to your instincts and as of now ,they are screaming run !, run for your life. Obviously the young man is struggling and has no source of income and is trying to make you one and may even has others like you. So if you want to help, help him out as a friend that you like, not so that he will pay you back by marrying you as he may end up disappointing you. But then life is a risk. So , if you want to play it that way ,set a limit to what you will spend on/for him ,play along ,watch him , time will prove him. My 2 cents.

I haven't seen any disadvantage of being handsome except may be my girlfriend refusing to accepting that i only date one person at a time don't have the time nor the heart to toil with any bodies emotion.
