Sweet BS UmmTwins since last year, the memory is evergreen, Allahu Akbar! God's blessings upon your LO. Everytime I read a Bs, I picture myself in the scene and arggghhh.. Dear God, please make it easy for everyone one of us. Amen!

Sometimes, I'd pinch myself to test my resistance level , use bare hands to lift hot pot, plenty pain tests I do behind closed doors . My mum finally bursted my bubbles when she said 'Iya eni o ki n bani debe (meaning your mama no go follow you enter labor room),arrgghhh! My own padi just broke my heart!

Mamas owing Bs please come and share o, these stories has been one of my many inspirations on this journey, I know if you all can do it, I Can also do it!

I am a mother but never enjoyed it.

1. I don't know what contractions feels like as in the real deal.

2. I won't tell you how I gave birth, I want to feel and see everything from home to hospital.

3. I didn't raise my child, I only spend first six months of his life with him uninterrupted, from then only saw him on birthdays and holidays.

4. He died a month after his second birthday, when I was still planning to be around him more so this time to me feels like a whole new chapter. Something I've never experienced before.

M not angry, motherhood is something to be enjoyed yes and I thank God for CS because we wouldn't have made it with my first if not for it. Just this time around I also want to be present in the delivery room. I also want to FEEL everything without any complication, be it CS or VB.

Erm sabi mamas who have had CS before then VB later, is there anything to fear? I had CS five years ago due to eclampsia and now my Doctor advised me on having VB, telling the pros and cons of it and I am scared!!!

Fear? Pls cast it out immediately as there's absolutely nothing to fear, HE has not given us the spirit of fear but of love(to conceive) and of a sound mind(body) to birth our kids.

Also, you had your CS 5years ago, thats a considerable length of time and IMO you are good to go the VBAC route.

...eclampsia in the first pregnancy led to the CS. Every pregnancy is unique, this time around, you shall not experience such and with your baby in the right position, itz a smooth VBAC all the way.

Lastly, you gotta trust your doctor, else, he/she has no business been ur doctor.

In concluding my epistle, lets trust the great Physician, the Balm in gilead for our five minutes painless VBAC. Kindly hold on to Isa. 66:7 - Before she travailed, she brought forth;before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.

Lol, you no get head for cooking. So na notice me you de find. You want to catch girls through your cooking. Let me give you better advice, make sure you fry your onions first, that will draw out a sweet and delicious aroma. Also open windows and doors and people will smell your food better. I notice that food that is less watery attracts delicious smells. Like frying pepper or steaming moi moi. Also making the Eba thick gives the local eba smell.
Most important point in this is that, it could be that your food stuff is not fresh, for example fish. I only buy fresh fish and the smell na helele when I cook it. Good luck shakara cook.

I need to know what i'm not getting right in my kitchen as my meals does not cause the whole estate to wonder who is cooking

Could it be "my hand" as some people have told me in the past?

I started noticing during my NYSC days some 9yrs ago. A male colleague then, the moment he starts cooking by frying ordinary onions, the whole Corpers' Lodge is filled with the aroma of his cooking. Most painful part is the dude may not even be cooking more can bachelor's concoction, while me on the other hand, with all my condiments for a complete pot of soup, nobody gets to "hear" my soup smell, they only "see" when i'm done cooking.
I've tried all manner to bring an end to these aromaless cooking of mine, i've tried as far as frying my iru 1st with onions, frying onions till they are tender before the cooking, all to no avail.
My household qualify my cooking as "tasty but i want aroma also.

Pls help!

Of a truth, we are in the last days!

Dear team mate and other belleful mamas, especially FTMs,

Please lets not make the mistake of entertaining fear or iota of doubt with respect to our ability to have a normal and natural childbirth.

Here is my experience during my 1st pregnancy:

During the early days of my maternity leave @ home, while awaiting labour to set in, i kept opening my legs in front of a mirror, checking out my "small" vaaginal opening and comparing it with the "big" head of a new born.

Gradually, it started sinking that there was no way a baby was gonna pass through this my kini, it got into my subconcious and when i eventually went into labour, @ 6cm, i begged my doctor for a CS cos i just could not imagine the baby passing thru my thing.

Now, i'm better informed and set to welcome my 2nd child the natural way.

Well done teamie! We will testify in Jesus name. I tried to watch natural birth procedure on YouTube yesterday, my God I was scared. The doc kept massaging the perineal.
Wouldn't be watching more Biko -so fear doesn't set in
