Probably doesn't.

Because you are supposed to be the "model" of what African governments are supposed to be "aspiring" to become seeing that you inherited the most developed democratic system known in the history of the African continent.

I get it though, the bar has been set very low so why expect so much from a young and vibrant democratic government. You are only being what the rest of us are anyways, no?

Julius hasn't done a census on that concensus of thought and I would bet that if he ever did it definitely wouldn't round out to be the "average" South African

Sometime around the end of 2007 if my memory serves me well.

Wait! I thought you Pan Africans didn't ascribe to democracy as a model of governance as you believe it is an adopted white man/European concept that can't and will never work for Africans. So why did you believe that South Africa was "supposed" to be a model even though you always vehemently opposed the idea of democracy?πŸ€”πŸ€”

So I guess you are calling him a liar?πŸ₯΄

2007? What was about that particular year that made you conclude that we have turned away from it?

I don't dislike the "whole" country. That would be absurd.

Being pro nationalist and speaking in the interest and well being of your own citizens does not preclude you from being Pan African. The two are not mutually exclusive ideas. What is apparent in South Africa is that your politicians have now weaponized the idea of "nationalism" to camouflage their ineptitude and incompetence in managing the affairs of the state and will not admit that there are a large bunch of illiterates who occupy very high positions in your government. I can name but a few but we won't go into that now.

This reminds of the Ivorite incident that occured in West Africa. History just repeating itself.

You are refering to your your Gen X's and Gen Alphas. Every other Gen I highly doubt.

In this day and age with all the information at your finger tips, you are using the above argument as a legitimate excuse. And you wonder why I like Julius and the EFF.

You don't practice it anymore. It has been replaced by neo nationalist, protectionist and Pro capitalist movements masquerading themselves as the "Moonshot Pact"

Our current calibre of politicians may not have shaped up to be the ideal model of what we wanted for leadership, but I'm asking - what's that got to do with us abandoning Pan-Africanism? If we talking leadership ineptitude a whole lot worse can be said about the rest of Africa. And I don't remember any of them admitting that the reason their people are drowning in the Mediterranean is because of their inability to run their affairs properly. So why all the smoke for us and not everyone else??πŸ€”

The same Julius Malema also said those standing behind Dudula do not represent the image or the average South African and that we are not a xenophobic country.Do you think he's right on that? or do you only regard the word of your lord and saviour when it best suits whatever narrative you want to push?πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€” Hmmm.

At which period do you think we stopped practicing it?

Your general naivety of the continent you live in and peoples of Africa.

Your lack of African history in general.

Your inability to hold constructive historical arguments on SA affairs and its relation to African matters in general.

You claim of ubuntu when you have not idea what that really means even though you invented it.

etc etc etc...

β€’ Not true, and even if it was it's still not good enough reason to dislike a whole country. Most of our politicians used to champion Pan-African principles but over the years we have come to learn that it was a one-sided effort so we decided to abandon ship.

β€’ Most Africans don't really know the history of this continent if we are being honest, they are rather fixated on their individual tribal lineage, trust me on this one!...but I guess it's okay to sling mud at South Africans only.πŸ€”

β€’ Because South Africans have been separated from the rest of Africa for too longπŸ₯± so how do you expect us to hold these "historical arguments"?

β€’ ohh so you want to tell us about the same concept we invented? Our blueprint? So according to you where have we gone wrong with Ubuntu?

It is no hidden agenda that I don't particularly like Saffers.

Not liking someone does amount to hating or despising them, just to be clear.

Hunee , the lazy black SA stereotype actually originates from white settlers. After the fall of Apartheid labour union became more powerful in SA and with that came an end to cheap labour and standards of living went up for black people and coloureds and more people got tertiary education and as a result the boeres (who were largely uneducated themselves) who once headed the government institutions were quickly replaced and they now probably make up about 1% of every government department except in the Western cape province which will definitely be higher ( the place has the highest concentration of whites in SA) . The introduction of the welfare system by Mandela made the situation even worse for those who wanted people to clean their houses for anything less than the minimum wage , because why in the world would I wake up to go and slave away for the same money I can get by having a child and starting an informal business ?. So if you weren't going to pay any black maid , gardner, factoryworker , security guard etc ( even as a black person) their proper salary or they worked and you refused to pay , unions would close down your business with protests and other ways. And ccma would penalise your business ( order you to compensate the victim );etc.. so the white people who were not used to this were infuriated but had no choice but to comply or shift out of SA. Come 2008 and the Zim crisis hit. Many zimbos fled to SA and the labour wars started. Any exploiter was salivating from the townships and villages to the farms and surbubs...why ? Slave labour...not cheap but slavery. The zimbos had no food , some came in hungry and sick and had to be hospitalized and were stranded after being discharged. So they'd take any job for a plate of food or free accommodation, you didn't even have to pay them . Mind you a lot of these Zimbos were better educated that our labourers who probably only have matric at most. So the purging of under skilled and uneducated SA workforce started .if they wanted their normal minimum wage , then that meant losing their jobs and the only way to keep their jobs was to take the same slave wages that their Zimbos counterparts were eager to get their hands on . Some quit their jobs because they realised that they were free labour ( almost all of what they earned was spent on transportation and basic foodstaff). Some were fired for frivolous reasons. And employers , in particular the white ones would feel up the head of their slaves with * they are lazy , they don't like working, you guys are the best in the world * . So the Zimbos and other foreigners who came later started to make themselves feel better by mimicking their masters. But what they never realised is that white people keep getting richer whilst they remain working hard and living in shacks with people who will get free government housing and who get paid monthly to take care of their own kids. Basically most of the foreigners trapped in these kind of jobs have no hope of ever escaping the slums or poverty, it's a never ending cycle of working hard for nothing. That's why you will hardly find foreign nationals who are employed in the formal sector of the economy in SA because they can't out compete the SA educated workforce; cheapness of your labour is not the priority here , your skill , level of education and experience are the most important.

It's only now that Zimbos realised what they did to themselves ( wasted away doing manial jobs for nothing) and couldn't upskill. Follow the Zim permit saga. The SA is ending their special permits and they are crying all over the place , why ? Because they can't apply for special skills permits like every other nationality because most won't qualify and will have to be illegals or deported. Now their education and skills are really being put into a test: do we really need Zimbos around ? And the answer is quiet obvious......if we did , they'd be moving on to other permits.

By the way, if you check the timeline well, you will notice this is when the first xenophobic attacks hit SA....labour wars than the widely reported black on black hate. You can check this yourself.

As for how I know so much about Nigeria......I'll get back to you about that, just a bit busy now.

Your analysis on politics is always A1 shocked smiley

grin grin grin grin grin grin

It's not my problem that your knowledge of SA is superficial at best even though you live here .
You are mad because even though you're in SA your exposure to South Africa is as limited as that of a Nigerian in Nigeria , your only talking points are the usual white people * ...Hiv** ...lazy*** . And you're shook that I can go as deep as the Biafran war which would immediately scatter your whole Nigerian team here if I wanted to take it there grin. Knowledge is power. Travelling alone doesn't make you knowledgeable, it can still leave you as superficial and empty as you were if you don't open yourself up to learning. You probably know nothing about SA politics and why things are currently messy even though you're here . But guess what I know a lot more about the cash -cow of Africa ( Nigeria) because it is good business to study your country trends. When trailers carrying tomatoes and other produce from the North can't enter the East because of unknown gunmen and other stupid poverty enhancing protests , I want to know about it and where else the Igbos will source these products from.

When Nigeria closes its land borders with Benin which affects importation into Nigeria from the ports of Benin . And petroleum exports to benin from Nigeria, I want to know about it. If Northeners decide to take their beef to Cameroon instead of the South, I want to know whether the Southern Nigerians will panick , jubilate or not care because they will replace them with imports , and where will they be importing from ?. I want to know the forests where illegal oil bankering takes place in the Niger delta, and how they illegally transport the refined petroleum products via the river into Benin republic and how much everyone is making in that value chain ?.

I want to know if the bandit war between some Fulani and Hausa villages will become more widespread and therefore affect food production in the North and subsequently shortages all over Nigeria ? How important are these two groups of Northerners to Nigerian food production, this I want to know. I want to know if the lagos indigenization policy will actually be approved and if so , how will it affect the Igbo vs Yoruba relations, will there be sabotages in trade ......as in the imports. And is it possible that the mass Igbo importers will be pushed aside in favour of new blood, including foreign players?

You think you have all these foreigners on this forum because they're obsessed with you or are interested in actually migling with you ? cheesy. Trolling and engaging might just be a stress reliever, a way to catch some cruise, just saying grin. You guys have eyes but lack vision . The underdevelopment of your country is an opportunity and its unregulated industries make it a good place to " obsesss" over . We're not all fascinated by tall shiny buildings and light you know? grin
