guy shut up na

Lol! Why are you angry. Pray for God to bless you too. No need to hate on people already blessed.

why didnt he go on his knees and call on god?

When God has blessed you to a point, there are some things you no longer pray for, you just pull strings.

You have comprehension issues. You and several other Nigerians.

Those working at the embassy hinted that Oyedepo will likely be given the visa after he contacts those he knows.

The article never ever stated that he was given the visa.

Read again.

Slowly.

Then comprehend properly.

Embassy sources however hinted of the possibility that the popular preacher might have made some calls to individuals that would intervene on his behalf and the visa eventually issued.

This indicates that the call has already been made and visa already issued. Were you taught English language in school?

He wasn't given. The embassy only hinted that Oyedepo will contact those he knows and will likely be given.

He hasn't been given the visa yet.

Do you have a problem comprehending or does the article not say the visa was eventually issued?

Obviously, this will soon be debunked in fews years from now. The moon landing hoax has been trashed now they want to give us Mars landing

Why wait a few years to debunk it? And who said the moon landing was a hoax?
Scientist have been working tirelessly to understand our universe better by studying it and you choose to live in obscurity.
This is not the first successful landing on Mars by NASA and the next agenda is to send a human there in a few years.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Califonia Hits $2.7T GDP And Overtakes Britain As Fifth Largest Economy by JackieP: 8:03am On Aug 28, 2018
Impressive! Was just checking GDP of different States in the US and found that Texas has a GDP of $1.7Trillion which is more than the GDP of Russia at $1.5Trillion.
USA is a rich Country with diversified economy.
Oil, Technology, Healthcare, Entertainment, Manufacturers of vehicles, Airplanes, military gadgets etc.and most states are into farming.

Nigeria needs diversity, oil is no longer sustainable.

Sorry guys for not updating earlier things have been hectic for the last one week.

Well I have been in this country for 10days now and things have been moving really quickly. My SSN came in on Friday. Already scheduled my driving tests already, had to read a manual cuz I have one online thingy b4 having the road test.

Everything here is bigger the roads are smoother not really congested but one thing I noticed is that kids don't really respect their elders, you know back home everyone is so respectful and all but here if u dey wait for greeting u are on along thing o. No issues concerning that for me.

Already have some job opportunities based on the Nigerian community here but I am still taking my time sha, the weather is still okay but it gets a bit cold at nights I have been told to enjoy while it still lasts.

One thing I observed again is the price of fuel, men we dey flex for naija we no know a litre here is close to 3 dollars maybe that's why vehicles ain't much on the roads.

All in all its been a nice experience and I know it majorly becuz I had a soft landing cuz without ur papers men things will be tight.

Still trying to figure out this picture thingy here on nairaland once I do I will begin to upload some I have taken so far.

Cheers.

Well gas here is not sold in litres but in gallons. I gallon = 3.785411784 liters.

Do not be fooled. If I tell you the number of homeless people on the streets of US cities, you would be alarmed. On the road, under bridge and even close to city centers. Both black and white, but more African Americans. Each time I see an homeless man on the street begging for money I wonder how on earth a country could be giving out billions in aid, spend hundreds of billions on military, and space program but can't afford to take care of all it's people.

The US govt spends billions taking care of their citizens and permanent residents through the SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid, Medicare, Housing, disability, unemployment benefits etc for those who qualify. I was in the medical transportation business. The government even paid us through insurance company to get people who cannot drive to the hospitals and pharmacies. All they have to do is sign that we took them so we can get paid.
Most people are on disability and they get money from the govt monthly to take care of themselves. People who are not able to find jobs get unemployment benefits. Even people that have special needs are in homes that the govt pay for and even pay for all their needs as long as there are invoices that cover what is needed. Here in Texas, there are many Nigerians that have homes that care for special need patients and the govt pay them monthly making the owners rich. What more can a govt do for it's people?
Yes there are homeless people but most of them do not qualify for these benefits due to one reason or the other. Most them them abuse drugs and even refuse to go to the homeless shelters provided. It's up to people to be responsible and take advantage of their society instead of choosing to be in lack in the midst of plenty.
