Except you did not read the article fully, he was later granted the visa.

WILLuKPquiet:

You are the biggest Mumu here

Read well and see he was later issued.

Oyedepo dines and wines with people in the highest places world over.

He might even have direct contact of their president. That's a bitter pill for you to swallow.

He wasn't given. The embassy only hinted that Oyedepo will contact those he knows and will likely be given.

He hasn't been given the visa yet.

Oyedepo has been the most vocal of all Pentecostal leaders about the war in the north, boko haram violence against Christians and misrule by the current junta.

I wonder if you guys tell lies as a form of worship.

Yes we tell lies as a form of worship to the god of men called Oyedepo, card carrying member of PDP.

I hope they ban him and Adeboye from entering the US.

Pastors that can't speak truth to power, are those ones pastors?

Maybe he didn't give his reason for Entry into the USA. Saying you've been going to USA since 1980s isn't a reason to the question asked.. I remmember one of my billionaire friend when went to the embassy and said he wanna Go to USA to hangout with his friends and spend money.. Hahahahahahahaha. E clear for him eye.

You have comprehension issues. You and several other Nigerians.

Those working at the embassy hinted that Oyedepo will likely be given the visa after he contacts those he knows.

The article never ever stated that he was given the visa.

What majority of you don't realize is that these people monitor, study and carefully observe what's going on. I once supported some U.S consulate based in the Oceania countries and believe me I know.

Imagine... very typical of a black man... trying to make a call. To who? The U.S has every jurisdiction over who the give their visa to or not. angry

They denied him a B1/B2 (Visiting visa) cuz they realize his ministry is no longer a Non-Profit but, more of a Profit-making venture. Whenever he goes to the U.S to preach, he makes tons of money... and perhaps, his churches don't pay taxes in the U.S on the grounds of Non-Profit venture.

He'll need to apply for a business visa for him to be granted cuz his churches are more or less a business venture.

Embassy sources however hinted of the possibility that the popular preacher might have made some calls to individuals that would intervene on his behalf and the visa eventually issued.

Embassy sources however hinted of the possibility that the popular preacher might have made some calls to individuals that would intervene on his behalf and the visa eventually issued.

In the mail sent by THISDAY, three questions were asked: “One, we understand that there was serious drama earlier today, when Bishop David Oyedepo was denied the US visa. However, because we could verify our facts from other applicants at the embassy today, our question, therefore, is on what grounds was a Bishop Oyedepo, known across the globe, denied a visa?

“Our sources in-house had also hinted that given his connection, the CG might likely be contacted and his visa might be issued eventually through a referral. If that’s true, why deny him in the first place?

He hasn't been given yet. But he will likely be given. It's still a possibility

"When THISDAY contacted the embassy for clarifications on why the popular Bishop was denied visa, a staff of the embassy in the media department, requested that an email be sent with the questions and promised to respond as soon as possible."

Had it been the US embassy is one of Nigerian MDA you would have heard " our source who does not want to be mentioned alleges that the Bishop was denied Visa because the church in Nigeria raised the highest collection of tithes and offerings the last service and the US does not want that replicated in their country as Donald Trump is closing up all avenues for capital flight out of the United states".

But he is a liar and revisionist.

The US is aware that muslims, christians and people of other or no religion have been killed by Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen and all manner of militants.

They also know those behind this but they have their interests and continue to allow for it.
