Thanks, sorry for my many questions...did the school apply for your OSHC or you did by yourself? which of the cover did you pay for? can one pay for one year cover only for visa purposes though your course continues for the second year? I am trying to maximize cost cos am travelling with family. OHSC is quite high for family cover. God bless.

I got the cover myself (Medicare). To the best of my knowledge, u would av to get a cover for ur entire family and for the entire period on ur COE i.e ur course duration

Please don't be misguided.
Budget for MSc(1yr)= $30K/Per Scholar (Even if yours is 2yrs!)
Budget for PhD= $90K/Per Scholar.....covers the 3yrs the program is supposed to run( ie, $30K/year)

There is no 2years option in the online form, just 1 and 3years and my program is for 2years.. What do I do??

No. That's a lie. There is nothing wrong, they would give I'm admission. Rmit admission takes time cos they verify all your documents, admission process takes like 3months.

How would one apply for admission then wait 3months and u say he is on track... C'mon, there is obviously something wrong.. Please make sure the requested documents were uploaded, confirm by calling the school if possible!! I had the same problem waited for 2weeks xtra because the agent *thought* she uploaded it.. Admission shouldn't take more than 3weeks

Full scholarships is always tough for new students but after first semester, there are lots of scholarships options depending on the student academic performance.

As she has an excellent academic background, she can try her luck by checking the universities directly but best most students get is partial scholarships.

As this is PHD level, there are more scholarships available depending on your area of research.

Maybe the student can check Australia awards website too for more options.

Thanks Santity

Regarding your first question, when you want to apply for PR, you can use your bachelor that is if it is in SOL list, but contrary to that, Just give it a try hopefully you will get work visa (4 years) and can apply for PR in the second year of your work visa. That's after your done with your plans. You can also ask some of the guru's here on nairaland.

2) As of the time i applied it was about 97k naira. but that was before July1st. So i don't know the current price.

Thanks man... More response would be appreciated

Yeah, I am in Perth and have lived here for about 5 months now, and I think it's time to give back to this forum that helped me when i was in Naija.

If you have any question regarding life in Perth, feel free to ask me, and to my guys in naija planning is key, I advise you to plan yourself well especially (financially) to do some certification course like aged care, so you can be able to cope with expenses here in Australia.

Check SOL list before choosing a course for masters.

If your plan is to hustle, your best bet is join TAFE, forget masters (Nursing is the best Tafe COURSE)

And finally never give up on God, hand over your plan to Him and his directions.

tkia.

Thanks for the info bruh!! I just have to questions

1) in the event where you are apply for a course without prior knowledge about SOL list and you so deep into the process (paying tuition and applying for visa) only to find out your course is on the CSOL list but not the SOL list although it's a 2years offer. What do u advise? No hope for PR at all?

2) please what's the exact amount/fee for student visa.

Good day to u all. Just have a little tipoff for some folks who need form A to pay for the skul fees....u can get form A from First bank so far u are banking with them. However to give more room to transparency and also to serve many of there client. ..they thus zone the form A to geographical zone in order to allow participatation of every tribe and not focus alone on west or north to,for this week .people request from south will be answered .so if u are from south..u cud file ur form to them..so next week will be for the west followed by north which is upper week.... also to get ur own fast track and approved. .u need to tip thosee in charge .else ur file might be treated in a due process way which will take time or denied.

Thanks for the info .... I submitted with FIRST bank(Lagos) on the 27th September ,that's over a month now n it hasn't been approved although the bank official said they've sent it for approval (a week ago )
