MalcoImX:This is a purely personal issue to the people concerned. In fact this is a non issue. Rather these people should stop wasting national resources on useless trips abroad in the name of pilgrimage. How does these pilgrimages stop the scourge of boko haram in the country if I may ask? |
dayo23:He should sack them and lead the war from the front as he promised |
Dosinspector:True talk! |
vedaxcool:while talking about forgers the case of one Mohammed buhari came to mind! |
Maxymilliano:Abi ooh. The hypocritical op is talking as if the problems of Tinubu are from the PDP.Last time I checked it was the northern elements in APC that wanted to reduce his influence in the party. Where does PDP come into this? Be learned! |
MarieSucre:was he not already doing it in his last days in office? |
odiereke:Yes! At least he is the one feeding hungry salary-less people of Osun state. |
IdisuleOurOwn:So you can see that Nigeria has not changed at all even under a CHANGE government. We are not saying that FFK didn't steal. We only say that evidence should be provided. A government that can't prosecute corrupt officials is equally corrupt. |
MKO4ever:His declaration to the CCB is a constitutional obligation which he has already fulfilled. Whether ratified or not is left to the CCB. But his declaration to the public is a moral duty which does need to wait for ratification from CCB. In any case if he were sincere and sure of what he declared then why wait for ratification before presenting it to the public. |
temitemi1:That is what I mean. Now that they are in government they should seize the opportunity of a some how weakened boko haram and finish them off instead of allowing them time to regroup. |
The fight against insurgency before the general election was gathering steam with good results to show. Towns and villages were being recaptured and military authorities were briefing the nation on current developments on the war front. There was a general expectation of an impending victory. Meanwhile Buhari was also promising to prioritize security if elected. Nigeria took him for his word and elected him President. My worry now is that one month into this new regime has seemingly rendered our military less potent. While the insurgents have stepped up their attacks since then our military has being generally subdued in both the propaganda and in the war front. In fact our forces have not carried out any preemptive or reprisal attack on the insurgents since this government was sworn in. Why is the expected change taking so long to happen? |
Osinbajo is certainly the most underrated VP Nigeria has had. It started with buhari calling him osunbade and then followed up by locking him out of the security meeting on the excuse that he is too meek to be exposed to top national secrets.Saraki nailed him recently by calling him a mere commissioner. |
babyosisi:which of the Rhodesia's? North or South? |
tucky200:but do you believe that other bombers have been using the phrase "Allah akbar"? what is so strange about survivors hearing what the bomber shouted out? After all only 5 people died from the blast. Can you use your blocked head now? |
As the handover date to the new government draws ever closer I want to use this forum to call on all PDP/GEJ fans to express their wishes for the incoming government. Your wishes are classified into two: 1 Let the new government be very successful.Let there be positive change in Nigeria. let Nigerians have it so good that they would start regreting the PDP/GEJ rule. 2 Let the Buhari government be a complete flop. Let there be so much suffering in the country so that Nigerians would start wishing to have PDP/GEJ back. please make only one choice and APC/Buhari supporters are not allowed to comment. |
shamecurls:But why must it be vaseline method. why can't you shoot the lava directly into someone? |
CyrusXandria:which religion approves of it then? The disturbing thing about them is their fight for public acceptance and recognition, that pride! No shame. Is this hideous practice no longer a sin? As I said earlier if other groups of sinners should also form pressure groups to fight their causes then the issue of offence /wrong doing and punishment will be completely wiped off the face of the earth. |
Biblically homosexualism is condemned in the same breath as other sins as adultery, stealing, lying etc. While the rest of the others are still seen as sin in the present age, homosexualism is gradually carving a new and more acceptable image for itself especially in the western world. We now have gay associations and gay rights with legal support. My questions are:1 When did homosexualism transform from sin to norm?2 How did the transformation happen?3 Will other sinners such as adulterers, liars and thieves get the same treatment if they started forming associations and fighting for their own rights? (for example American Association of Adulterers ( AAA)?4 is homosexualism hereditary or an indulgence? 5 is it God or man that determine what is sin or not sin? |
podosci:No matter how you try to suppress it your bias is as clear as day light. For you to equate some one who kills based on religious conviction to another who does same from a criminal urge is despicable to say the least. You rightly asserted that we do not choose the religion we belong to.How then do you feel if someone decides that you do not deserve to live because of a religious choice that you may not have had a say in the first place? Remember we have criminals in society such as murderers, rapists, robbers, riggers of elections etc who cut religions. But we don't talk much of those because everyone stands an equal chance before them. But for these religious vampires NO!You are condemned by default.Worse still we can not fight them collectively because some section of the population will feel at least unconcerned and at most happy to see those who do not share their beliefs suffer. |
podosci:I am not disputing your Googled facts. My questions are actually for the dogmatic moslems who strongly feel that this insurgency is a Christian agenda. After watching Shekau explain his ISLAMIC BOKO HARAMIC mission they will still be more comfortable to believe that it is GEj, Ihejirika,Oritsejafor and co sponsoring the insurgency. Not even minding the fact that the whole Muslim world is on fire at this moment. Why are they always blaming others for their troubles. The fact remains that these barbarians carrying out wanton killings are Muslims even if you want to believe it is Gej,Obama,US,UK sponsoring them.Does it mean that they can not reason rationally? You may say "hand enough weapons to Muslims and they will wipe off the earth" No wonder the West has resisted their quest for nuclear weapons. |
During the course of the ongoing attack on Christianity in Nigeria which is termed insurgency by the media some moslem commentators have constantly argued that the whole thing is a scheme by Christians to destroy the moslem north. And that Islam is a religion of peace. Others even go to the extent of saying that the Christians worship a fake or powerless god who can't protect them and that is why they are always being attacked. Having watched the video of the recent attack on the Kano mosque I couldn't help but ponder over the following questions: 1 was that attack also planned and executed by Christians? 2 after purging the north of all Christians, why have these attacks not stopped? 3 could it be that the attackers on the mosque were actually moslems?4 can moslems ever realize that there is something wrong with their faith and stop living under the pretence of religion of peace? 5 if a moslem can do this to a fellow believer what more can he do to an arne? |
studio14:go ahead. |
Raiders:if you had used your brain well you would have noticed that the question is not for boko to answer. I agree that some people (like you) are nuisance on social media. |
It was in the news yesterday that Mubi in Adamawa state has fallen to Boko Haram and so has several other councils in north east Nigeria. But I used to wonder what happens to the elected government in such areas, the civil servants and most of all the monthly Federal allocation accruing to such councils? Help me out on these questions,1 Is the federal government still releasing funds to these councils? 2 Who receives the funds - government or boko haram?3 how does the federal government check how these funds are used since it has no access to the fallen councils?4 Could it be that the federal allocation is fuelling the insurgency?5 If the allocation was stopped does it mean the federal government has already ceded those areas to the insurgents? |
Many Nigerians these days associate born againismn with the denomination one belongs to. If you belong to a Pentecostal church you are born again but if you belong to an orthodox Church you are not.So sad. There will be many surprises on judgment day. |
striktlymi: Some people live to use someone's words against him.Are you sure that you make sense? |
Well, i am coming from a biblical perspective.Mark 4:22-23.For there is nothing hidden except to be made manifest:nor anything secret except to come to light.Luke 12:2.Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed or hidden that will not be known. In spite of these and many other verses that condemns keeping secrets I make bold to say that SECRETS is a commodity that everyone has. Individuals, families, organizations and even churches and so called powerful men of god do have and keep secrets. One thing about secrets is that it encourages other sinful acts such as lying and pretence For anybody to be reconciled to God,the first step is to do away with all the secrets in ones life. |
Biblical injunction about dressing generally come in two categories viz:1 Men should not wear clothes meant for women and vice versa Deut22;5 and 2 Women should dress decently avoiding jewelry and expensive clothes 1peter3;3-4,1timothy2:9. In each of the above verses there is no clear definition of what men and women clothes are. However, recently some religious puritans have been waging a war against women wearing the trouser claiming that such will take them to hell. One preacher even took it to the ridiculous extent of claiming that even if a woman wears a nicker and covers it with an outer dress which is decent such will still go to hell.My questions are 1 Is a woman wearing a trouser sinful because the trouser is a mans clothing or because the trouser is an indecent dress all together? 2 Where is the biblical evidence that the trouser either a mans wear or an indecent dress? 3 Why is there no evidence of men wearing trousers in biblical times (we only see robes and garments) 4Why is it that other unisex clothing such as pants and shirts get less criticism?(which sex is the right owner of pants and shirts that such puritans would recommend for holy women) 5 Between a trouser and a knee-long skirt, for example that women wear, which is more decent? 6 What is really the problem with the trouser? |
Unlike the sun which has been proven to be useful in photosynthesis, provision of vitamin D,provision of solar energy, among many other users, the moon which is one of the most ubiquitous features around the earth has a very limited application and that is for illumination at night which does not even happen all the time. The only other use of the moon I can fathom is its significance in Islamic worship.(announcing the starting and ending of fasting) Are there any other uses of the moon apart from the above mentioned? |
emmyskies: All thanks be unto GOD Almighty both now and forever more, AmenYou stopped short of mentioning names. But from your criteria of the true church being widely regarded as too holy, being approximately 3% of the Christian population, and being highly despised, can I venture to say JEHOVAH WITNESSES? And one may be last question: Does this your one true church possess and share holy spirit among her members? (I thought the holy spirit is a gift from god and he gives it to whom ever he pleases.) |
emmyskies: Op:thanks for your explanation. But that leads me to the other puzzles: 1 In the quest for the right church, does one have to move from one church to the other? 2 Can one write off a particular church based on hear say with out even attending it first and making sincere efforts to understand its spiritual position? (you can only do that at your own risk since there is a chance that the one you ignored may be the true church) 3 Given the thousands of churches we have around, what is the chance of one ever completing the experiment (to find the true church) in a lifetime?4 The holy spirit does not come to every body at the same time.Does one need to wait for it before going to any church at all? |
Two years ago I happened to watch a video in which a certain woman of god from Sierra Leone called sister Finder claimed to have gone to heaven and back.Among the many other spiritual claims she made was that some pastors were leading their congregations to hell. She went to the extent of mentioning names of some men of god and churches that were hell bound. The sin of the congregation is that they knowingly or unknowingly attend the church which is pastored by those condemned men of god. Even on this forum I used to see some christians questioning the heavenly credentials of other christians as a result of the perceived unholy nature of their pastor.Questions:1 If the founder or head of a church is an evil man does it mean the whole congregation is also evil? (ie can one not be holier than his pastor?)2 Would god judge us according to which church we belong or by our faith? 3 are there churches whose members are automatically saved? 4 how can we identify those magic churches? May be the trick is in finding the right church or man of god to follow and not in seeking personal righteousness. |
