They killed one catholic seminarian who just returned from apostolic work and 4 others were seriously injured. They have been taken to the hospital.

The community is in disarray now. However report reaching APGA Interactive Forum indicates that the youths of Akagwe Ugwu have quickly mobilised and are in hot chase of the herdsmen. They must be caught definitely.

We also learnt that the commissioner of Police has arrived the community.

Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is too weak, he is still sleeping and snoring at the govt house. He must be Corrected come 2019.

How come Fr Mbaka didn't see this coming? He was quick to see the plan to kill Bubu but failed to see this wicked plan against his followers and tribesmen. I agree with you on most of your points especially constituting a nuisance on any federal or state property e.g highways. Farmlands is a no go area as nobody has the right to feed his livestock on another's 'sweat' without a pre arranged contract, however no state government can ban Nigerians from access to their states. A's for the Lagos issue, limiting the activities of herdsmen to the outskirts was the case.

What the government is doing here is a fireman approach, we must however mount pressure on the government to aggressively tackle deforestation and provide adequate ranches and educate the herdsmen, main point being nomadic cattle grazing isn't a culture but an outdated farming technique which should be replaced with modern ranches. After all, cows trekking makes the beef so tough, you literally need a toothpick each time you eat Nigerian beef.

Its not the duty of government to provide ranches to herdsmen. cattle rearing is personal business. The herdsmen have to procure land for their ranches just like every other business man would rent or buy land for their business. And as you well know that requires diplomacy and good rapport between the tenant/ buyer and the landlord/land owner. If Fulani herdsmen are not diplomatic and respectful to their host communities then I wonder how they can co-habit.

2). No. He didn’t address two different issues. He basically blamed the killings of farmers and villagers across the country on the phantom Libyan trained fighters recruited from the Sahel region – while openly canvassing for grazing areas for Fulani herdsmen. He also said they can’t be stopped. i). He blamed Libyan trained fighters for the killings. ii). In the same breath, he made a case for Fulani herdsmen and campaigned for grazing areas as the way to stop the killings. iii). He categorically said they can’t be stopped.

3). The Tuareg group, which is a Berber speaking group, with a small population in Libya are a Sahel group. And most of the tribes in the Sahel region of Africa are Berbers (apart from Nomadic Fulanis). Evidently, if he’s blaming the phantom Libyan trained fighters recruited from the Sahel, who are mostly Tuaregs, for the killings – he’s basically saying they’re from Libya cos there are Tuaregs (Berbers) who’re indigenous to Libya due to how vague he was. So, why do Tuaregs who aren’t indigenous to Nigeria need grazing areas in Southern Nigeria and why did he reference grazing areas when he believes Fulani herdsmen aren’t responsible for the unnecessary carnage everywhere?
