what if they have been using the wrong oil all along? So it's never to late to start using the recommended oil after much servicing

, pls I just got my first Honda, a Honda Crv 2008, which oil make should I go for..... I have always thought any oil goes, Mobil, Forte oil not minding the type particularly for that car... It's actually a Naija used car... Want to handle it with care and love.. I need to give it all attention... What do u guys advice me to do first since I haven't driven it yet, am out of town from lagos, I thought of doing 1. full engine servicing 2. re wiring cuzz the fan was on bypass, 3. full diagnose.
Pls any other information? I need to know the type of oil recommended for this Honda Crv 2007 - 2011 model... Pls Help

op, congrats on your new car, when you want to service your transmission use the recommended oil honda dw1 and ask the previous owner the oil they use in servicing the car, if the oil weight is 5w30 stick with it, but if is 20w50 you can switch to a light weight oil maybe 10w40 and observe wether there is oil shortage. If the oil shorts, use 20w50 if not you can switch to 5w30. Remember to buy oem when replacing parts. And i hope the fan is not bypass and thermostat removed.

Pls are u saying the fan shouldn't be a bypass? And also should or should dey it remove the Thermostart? I just got a naija used Crv 2007 and it did over heat that same day while going home.. So a mechanic did bypass but dint know about the Thermostart removed or not.... I just want to do a new rewiring of the car maybe there were bad wires touching or maybe dirty old mechanic work from the former owner

Hello guys, pls i need to change my front and back bumper for my Honda Crv 2007, do dealers exchange with my old one and give me néw /Belgium once when I add money? I also want to do same with the back and front light also, they are not broken but not looking new, since am oven baking my Crv with an expensive paint, I need part to go brand new.. So any one with ideas like this? I wouldn't want to spend much on just buying new once when I wouldn't need my old front and back bumper, head light and tail light....
